Although this is not 100% hand car wash the first portion is done by hand to get off debris and then you go through the machine. I've supported this car wash since 2009 and have not been disappointed yet. Only bubble wash I've been to where your car gets a hand wash before entering the machine. Many days it can be busy, especially on the weekends. This is my go to car wash of if I don't want to drive by Lake Merritt for a full hand wash inside out detail. They too are busy. The workers are thorough. I love how they use the soapy clothes to go over your car first and a scrub brush to get the dirty off the rims. Once you come out the machine there's another worker or two to hand dry your car. Great car wash to give a try. The price is understated. Be sure to give them a nice tip. I came here only for the cheap gas. The cash price for regular gas on 1/6/2025 was $3.69 which made it the cheapest gas station around. Paying by credit was $0.10 more per gallon. The place seemed kind of sketchy to me at first seeing a black barred window outside where people were lining up to pay for their gas or car wash. The window was dark and I almost couldn't see the cashier that was working inside. I don't think there was a store if you wanted to buy drinks or snacks. They did have a soda vending machine outside. I'm not sure if I will ever come back here for a car wash. Even though they hand wash your car, you still have to drive your car through their automatic car wash system. I just know those brushes will scratch up my car. Be careful when you're trying to exit this place. You have to make a U turn around the gas station and exit from where you entered from. It can be difficult to maneuver around when there is a line of cars at the pumps and cars waiting to be washed. As long as they continue to sell cheap gas, I will be back! read more

Yes this carwash is the worst I have ever been too. First & last time paid for the upgraded shine protectant package. My car was still dirty when they told me it's ready. I told them look T all of this that is coming off with my finger bugs, bird dropping whatever else. This was not on the usual are like the front grill either Back of both bumpers top of car. The vacuuming was a joke to. Did notice a regular customer older Nissan car had alot of attention. My new rdx Acura was just pushed through. They put it through the wash one more time. I have no words for this car wash location. I was in a rush and didn't have time to read all the reviews here on Yelp. I needed a quick wash because I parked under a tree and there was a bunch of bird poop on my car. I didn't notice until I got home but they completely scratched up the side of my car to the point where there are literal chunks taken out especially near the door handle. I don't even know how that is possible unless they had rocks in the towel. In addition to that, there is still pieces of bird poop everywhere with streak marks from the towel drying. I've been going to this place faithfully for the past three years. Even referred many people because of how pleased I was with their work. But, that is no longer. I went about a month or two ago got my superior wash, drove home and noticed that I still had residue on my car from when someone spilled an unknown substance on my car. My first thought was why didn't they tell me they could not remove the buildup instead of letting me drive off thinking my car was nicely washed. So, I turn around and go back to the car wash. I asked one of the guys that dries the car, "hey, were you not able to remove this residue? And if not, why didn't you mention it?. The guy blew me off. So, I walk over to the cashier and I ask him is there a manger? He ignored me, then he said no. I asked when will his manager be available and he refused to answer me. Now I'm pissed and feeling a little disrespected, so I go ask the guys who actually do the pre wash and they both said idk who the manger is. Also, refusing to give me any information. Their machines for credit card payments seem to have a serious flaw. After using my card at their pump, I found multiple unauthorized charges for withdrawals from a restaurant across the street. It's outrageous that a supposedly reputable gas station can't protect its customers' sensitive information. Beware and stay away! read more

I needed gas and a cash wash (badly, from all the wildfire ash). The gas is very inexpensive (maybe the cheapest in town). Thankfully, I came during the middle of the "work" day (Thursday around noon), and there were a couple of pumps open, so no waiting. I wanted to pay for the gas and car wash with a single transaction at the pump, but that was not an option. I was able to pay for the gas at the pump with a credit card, but had to pay with cash or debit at the counter for the car wash. No big deal, there was only one car in the wash line once I pumped the gas. I paid for the Superior Wash (the highest one), which included hand pre-wash, hand dry and a tire dressing. The guys working at the car wash were working hard and did a great job! There were also wearing masks while they worked. Definitely will go back again. read more

Came here for a car wash after my car collected a thick layer of ash from all the smoke it was much needed! I got the regular car wash but will probably get the deluxe next time. It was busy when I came, I'm sure everyone had the same idea as me. I had to wait maybe 10 minutes before they started to hose my car off. You choose which type of car wash you want to get, then pay with the cashier. They give you a ticket that you will need to give to the people who will wash your car. Update regarding the $100.00 charge on my credit card 3/17/22 (see photo) on top of the price for filling up my gas tank: I had to go back to dispute the charge that showed up on my American Express Hilton Card for $100. The cashier (after a bit of back and forth chatter) agreed to return the money 'in a couple of minutes'. I wasn't returned within minutes but was eventually returned days later because it was pending on my credit card account. As of now, it doesn't look like I was charged the $100 and that it has been returned. Thanks and special thanks to American Express Hilton for looking out. Been here three times for car washes and have had varying outcomes. First time was alright. Second time was amazing. Third time (today) was bad. Had the "deluxe" service which includes a pre-wash by hand prior to going though the machine and towel drying. Theoretically this was a good value ($16). However, the set up forces the guys to rush through the process. Due in part to this, they used saturated towels to "dry" which resulted in a streaky finish. Also, the car had residual dirt and soap. The set up makes it very difficult if not impossible to request follow-up on trouble spots. read more

I come here occasionally for a quick car wash. I usually have no complaints because I don't expect much. This is a simple car wash spot. You stay in the car. The people soap the car up, you go through a machine, and someone on the other side drys it. Less than 10 minutes. My last experience was not so noteworthy. The guy that dried my car left all types of water streaks on my windows. I politely told him there was dirty water streaks on the windows still. He rolled his eyes and did a one single wax on move on my drivers side windshield and turned his back to start on the other car. I don't have the time to argue with the guy so I drove home and finished the job myself. If you don't mind spending $10 for a quickie wash ($12 for an SUV). This is an okay place. Me and him got in a little argument because he was disrespectful towards me and looked like he didn't even want to work there. This was my favorite place until today 05/04/19 at 5:26pm. I sent my car through the washer and it came out with black specs all around it. I tried to whip them off, but they didn't come off so I took it back and asked them if they could run it through again and they told me I need a detail, which I don't because it happened before and they washed it and came off. The new workers they have told me they can't run it through because he doesn't want to explain it to his boss. I've seen 3 people that got in line with their cars, then realized they need to pay, so they run outta the car to pay the cashier...which holds up the line.....so please don't do it! $8.99 for the most basic (express?) wash! If you have a SUV or something along those lines, it's an extra $1. When I got there, there was a long line and I was afraid the wait was going to be awhile but nope! It was quick and less than a 5 min wait. The workers are hard working, friendly and efficient. I was really skeptical about coming here but I saw what a great job they did for my bf's car so why not? Terrible car wash. They begin with two people washing/scrubbing your car and both could care less. Then it runs through the automated drive thru wash that works just as little. I paid for the "Superior Wash" that includes a tire dressing and extra attention to your wheels and tires. They should change the name to the "Inferior Wash." Dirt streaks were left, no cleaning under door handles, bumper, etc. Zero tire dressing applied and rims were barely touched. I understand people are forgetful while rushed, but I literally handed them a huge green paper that says TIRE DRESSING and the guy just pretended to clean my wheels. Will not be returning. read more

Cheapest gas in town as long as you use cash. They charge a surcharge fee if you use a debit card. The car wash...self-important jerks park in line first and then go pay (sometimes 3 or 4 at once) holding up the line from those who already have tickets. I have seen people refuse to move forward so their friend could cut in front of them. I thought "holdsies" was for grade schoolers. I have had a car wash ticket for over a month that I have not been able to use because of this. I have complained repeatedly and I will never buy car washes here anymore.
