My most recent experience has been getting my engine oil, transmission fluid and real axle lubrication changed out. Although the service wase xcellent as usual, I discovered yet another valuable service on offer at Kwik Kar. With todays' costs on everything rising, its important that car owners have an estimate on car parts that will need replacement in the future for planning and budgeting purposes. Items like exhaust systems, brake pads and rotors, timing belts and chains etc. do and will fail unless replaced prior of failure. Preventive Maintenance. Scotty gave me a good rundown on when I could expect to replace my brakes on my Infinity and gave me a projection of when I will need to replace the exhaust system in my second auto, a Dodge Caravan. This type of personalized care, gives me the peace of mind that I can take trips knowing that my autos are in good condition, all preventive maintainance is up to date and operational systems are being watched by Scotty and his team. They wouldn't even look at it at first. They seemed to be upset I didn't let them diagnose the problem originally. I am old school and I'm not stupid when it comes to my truck, I have over 300,000 miles on it and I am the original owner. I can tell by listening to it what's wrong with it and I've always been correct. The power steering pump was the original power steering pump it was whining like a stuffed pig, and the truck was not turning properly not only that I had had it diagnosed at another garage, but they were too expensive regardless,I didn't feel like the attitude was correct. I won't go back there for any reason nor do I recommend anyone else go there due to the attitude I was given. I kind of brushed it off when I left to have them fix it,when I returned to pick it up I felt they were uncomfortable with me being there and barely said a word to me. I don't know what their problem was. I am always nice and respectful to people and never went in there angry or yelling cussing. Nothing I was very polite on the phone with them and very polite when I took it back did not expect to be treated the way I was But like I said it is fixed now and working great. I have usually worked on my truck myself because I don't want or trust anyone else working on it however do eye cancer I'm not able to see as well as I should. My right eye is completely dark now,I hope in the future no matter where I'm at. I'm able to trust a mechanic more than I did this place.

We all concluded it had to be either the timing chain or the harmonic balancer. They had my truck for almost a month and I ended up spending more than double what I was expecting. After they replaced both parts, they then claimed that my lifters are going to need replacing and charged me an additional 2 grand for that as well. After paying for the parts they replaced, I took my truck home only to have a new fault come up, low oil pressure. I called them and had them take my truck back to fix that issue and made them pay for it out of pocket being that this fault never occurred before they took my engine apart. Out of spite, they messed up my alignment. When I FINALLY took my truck back from them for good, my truck was driving somewhat straight but my steering wheel was halfway turned to make this happen. I had to take my truck to another shop for an alignment job which cost me even more money. So all I ask is that if you're reading this, please don't do business with these people. They're going to over charge you for everything and when they mess up and you call them out on it, they're going to cause more issues expecting you to bring it back in so they can continue to gouge you. With all the mechanic shops I've dealt with in over 20 years, these guys are the worst.

I've gone there several times for alignments. During my last visit, they told me I needed wheel bearings and gave me a written estimate of about $1,300 for parts and labor. I asked if I could supply my own parts, and they said yes, explaining only that they wouldn't be able to warranty customer-supplied parts. I specifically asked what the labor would cost and was told $645. I ordered the parts and, a few months later, called to make sure the labor price was still the same before bringing my car in. They assured me it was. When I arrived with my parts, instead of pulling up my original estimate, the employee created a new estimate with the labor increased by nearly $300. I stopped him and asked him to print my original estimate. He hesitated and only did so after I repeatedly insisted. The manager then came out and claimed the original labor price was only discounted because I was supposedly buying their parts. That explanation made no sense because I had already told them from the beginning that I would be supplying my own parts, and at that time they still quoted me $645 for labor. They never said that price depended on buying their parts. It felt like an excuse made up on the spot to justify charging me almost $900 in labor. To make matters worse, the parts they wanted to sell me were marked up by more than $500. I bought the exact same brand-new parts myself for only $170. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. Make sure you get everything in writing, compare prices, and don't assume they will honor the estimates they give you. After leaving I discovered that they also have complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well

The next thing I see is my truck being pushed by several employees and pushed onto a lift. Four mechanics immediately want to work to try and figure out what was wrong with my truck. Unlike most shops, they actually took my input and were very receiving of the information that I gave them It took approximately 20 minutes to figure out that the computer had gone bad on my truck! Thinking the worst and thinking thousands of dollars I went inside and they called multiple parts shops and dealers to see if they can get the part. It wasn't available until the day. I was brand-new to the area and they were happy to give me a ride to the rental car company down the street. I called the next day and they stated that my truck would be done by the end of the day and that it would need to go to the dealer to have the computer flashed. When all said and done I was expecting a bill much greater than $1000 and was pleasantly surprised when the bill was just slightly over $600. They had to tow the vehicle, had for mechanics working on it for over two hours and get the parts and a dealership have to flash the computer and then bring it back. They were extremely fair very courteous and upmost they were honest. They could've taken me for a lot of money but there is still some integrity left in the world.
