James and his crew graded the yard, paved a path and patio area for us, refreshed our irrigation system, and put down new sod. It looks awesome. the timeline got stretched a little bit from what we originally expected but there were some unavoidable hurdles like weather. Update: because the project finished in early summer last year, we did not have to use our sprinklers for some time after completion with the amount of rain we were getting. In the fall when we turned them on again we noticed a geyser coming up between the bricks near one sprinkler. It resulted in a lot of dirt and sand being deisplaced beneath the pavers. We were hesitant to repair ourselves and ruin the nice job James had done, so we contacted him about having someone from his crew come repair it. Well it's practically June now and despite several communications and assurances that someone would come out we have not heard from him since early April. Then I guess he told his employees to follow me around as if a woman with no pockets and a cell phone was going to steal something, just felt completely unwelcome. But as he said money talks so maybe once you spend a lot of it they'll be a lot nicer and answer your questions or help and be more friendly to you NEXT time. (mowing and edging) They never showed up. Called the office. Apologies and lies from Jess the secretary. "I will have them come right away". NOT. Called again 5 days later....."I show on our GPS tracker that they arrived at your house the other day." Liar. Called again the next week. "I am elevating this to priority status and we will take care of this for you." Nothing. Grass got so tall there were snakes roaming through the lawn. I then called and asked for a refund. "Of course, I'll put you down for a refund." That's all. No retention attempt, she just hung up. 3 weeks later we still didn't receive the $80 back. I contacted my lawyer, Ted Starr and he sent a letter demanding a refund. No response. This is fraud. Elderly abuse, or whatever you want to call it. They are DBA now as Royal Palms Lawn Care. I have photos and proof of my payment. This company is the worst.
