I was transferred over to this facility from the Mueller location (total nightmare). I had a rough trek down 35 but once I got here, I had wonderful assistance from Carolina. I checked in on the digital screen but was seen within 5 minutes (including payment time). Carolina was helpful when taking my vitals and did so with care and expertise. Ana performed all of my swabs and tests and did so with severe professionalism. This team rocks! I cannot be more grateful for them and I highly recommend attending this location for your urgent needs. Van, the attending, was incredibly sweet. After diagnosing me, she even endorsed a recommendation at a local boba restaurant. She was super thorough in answering my questions. read more

Very rude worker at the front desk I walked in cause I have food poisoning and she looked at me like I was stupid for walking in and asked if I wanted an iv I told her I just wanted something to help with the vomiting and diarrhea. These issues did not feel like isolated mistakes, but rather symptoms of broader process and training problems. On top of all this, the PA, Rachel, made sure I knew exactly what was being prescribed to me, explained all risks of the treatment, and didn't want to overload me with medication. Last October, I was involved in a hit and run car accident. I explained this to all personnel involved at FastMed when I came in, so they knew insurance would be involved in the payment. However, I later found out that they do not bill for car accidents, so I was going to be responsible for paying. After several phonecalls and emails, I still have not received the proper billing and code information, so the insurance can take care of the payment. Fast forward to June, now this bill has gone to collections and is affecting my credit, and I still can't get a hold of anyone in FastMed billing. Absolutely do not go here. We have had serious issues twice now. The first time my wife went in for minor stitches. The staff was completely unprofessional, did a terrible job with the stitches, switched people multiple times, and generally seemed to have no idea what they were doing. The second time we went in for a COVID-19 test. Under everything we have heard from the insurance companies this is supposed to be completely free. Our insurance company *did* cover the testing and everything as expected, but FastMed pulled a really shady move by adding a random extra code for a *45+ minute doctor's visit* for a symptom that we did not have and did not report (and we definitely didn't meet with any doctors for 45+ minutes). This was clearly a fake code to get the bill higher. Our insurance company said they wouldn't pay for it since the code wasn't related to COVID, so now we have to waste our time getting a refund or possibly doing a card charge back. Absolutely ridiculous. They won't get a third chance. Highly recommend literally any other option that's available. read more

I cut my finger at work, I needed stitches but instead the doctor glued the piece I sliced off. Week later the part of finger is black, was told it could be saved with just the glue. She was super upset when I told her I prefer her not to touch my finger after she got her glove stuck on the area. She was trying to pull it off, which hurt.... I guess she forgot she is working on a patient. I had to tell her to remove her glove and try to peel it off slowly. I refused getting seen by her and I'd suggest you go see someone else. I was hesitant at first choosing to go here after seeing many 1 star reviews. However, I had a much more positive experience. I booked an appointment online at 11:00am for an 11:45am appointment. It was super quick and simple and they had a lot of options for appointment times. I got to the appointment at about 11:35am and had to fill out paperwork like you would at any new doctor's office. However, I was back in a seat and checked in at 11:45am. There were three people in front of me, as well as the receptionist letting those coming in that walk-in appointments would be about 2 hours due to shortage of staff for the day. Even with this being said, I was back and in a room in the next 15 minutes. I was given options for what I would like to do that day testing wise, without feeling like I was pressured to do it all. The doctor himself and all the technicians were super polite and very helpful as well. read more

There is nothing fast about fast med. I went online and selected a 12:45 appointment. I showed up 10 minutes early as they request it's now 1:40 and I still haven't been taken back to the office, and it turns out that they only have a physician assistant on staff today, although of course that is on a sign on the front desk (so no way to know before you get here) that is half hidden. Personally, no matter how nice this physician assistant might be, I wouldn't come here again. Waiting an hour after the scheduled appointment just to be taken back to a private room is unforgivable Also, am very surprised that at no point have they asked for any sort of medical history or any current medications I may already be taking. Seems very dangerous and totally unprofessional. The "nurse" that took my vitals and current medications didn't even know what a Ventolin Rescue inhaler is. Getting them to file a corrective claim under a current, valid license number has been utterly unlike pulling teeth. THEIR NEGLIGENCE COULD'VE KILLED SOMEONE!! They prescribed my fiance a medication the has a LETHAL INTERACTION to a medication she's routinely takes for acne... We called her dermatologist (prescriber of her acne meds) and the dermatologist receptionist knew it was a bad interaction and told her to immediately quit taking it and go to the hospital. It's sad that a dermotologist's receptionist knew more about lethal drug interactions than this supposed "doctor" at FastMed. Biggest rip-off! I walked in on a Friday afternoon and waited for almost an hour before I got called in. The nurse took my blood pressure and asked why I was there. She left and then I waited for the doctor to see me. When the doctor came in, I repeated why I was there and she told me that they didn't have the equipment to do the necessary tests. She recommended that I be seen at an emergency clinic instead. Fine, but it would have been nice if they would have told me that BEFORE I waited. Fast forward three weeks later and I'm seeing that they billed my insurance $313. Seriously???? The majority of the time I was there, I was waiting to be seen. Let me tell you what these so called "doctors" charge you: I had a small infection on my toe and was seen promptly by a doctor. She took a good look of about 3 seconds and said that it should be okay with salt water soaks but prescribed me antibiotics in case. This visit was $313. Three hundred fucking dollars. The audacity to completely take advantage of patients is DISGUSTING. It is so disheartening that a place so mediocre is willing to basically scam and take peoples' money. I've come here a handful of times and never once had a positive experience. At first, I would wait 30-45 min to be seated in a room & another 30 to see a doctor (which is expected at a clinic). I then made online appointments at their recommendation to expedite the process to seeing a doctor. Didn't work. Today, I'm sitting in the waiting room for the second time in 6 days. I was pushed in the direction of taking a new flu drug by the doctor. Didn't work. Obviously not their fault, but instead of seeing me quickly or even waving the copay of my second visit, they've continued to let walk ins go before me. They are extremely unorganized, poorly ran. Revised review: this place sucks. I came in with an elbow injury and they were trying to force my elbow straight even though it was painful and I couldn't move it to get an X-ray. We did this over and over again. A lady (who wasn't a doctor) told me I had a certain dislocation and would need an emergency room to put it back in place because they wouldn't be able to do it. Mind you this is after wrestling with my elbow as I writhe in pain. We leave but they don't give us he X-rays so we need them taken again. When I told the emergency room the diagnosis from fastmed I literally could hear them laughing next door. Sure enough they took the X-rays again and no dislocation or break. When I get a call the next week and tell them that they just say o well you have to pay for the X-rays regardless. Ok that's great - thanks. Dr. Van was great and helped me out promptly. However this office has some extremely shady practices. I was charged for the procedure and told to come back in 2 days to remove the bandage. On the follow up, the nurse simply removed the bandaid and gave me a couple more to take home. I was out in 5 mins. I was again charged the same amount for the second visit as I was for the actual incision. I'd prefer to die than to support this location again. read more

FastMed should be charged with false advertising. What's the point of an appointment if it's actually an hour later? Why don't you just set it an hour later?? Who is jumping the line or are you perpetually running behind by an hour? The least you can do is a basic calculation of number of people with appointments/ number of PAs available = estimated wait time and display that on your website, or send a text. Maybe if you spent a little more money on fixing your business you could save money on paying a PR person to try to salvage your yelp page. read more

Great, friendly staff. Willing to help and be understanding. After an awful visit to the ER with no help for my husband we came here a couple days later when he got worse. They worked with us on paying part of the bill up front and billing the rest later. The medical assistants were nice and understanding. The NP, Rhonda Treadaway was wonderful.
