Went yesterday with no appointment (they were not accepting walk-ins that day) but still they were so helpful, Relva especially. Not only that I had left my purse at home by mistake with license and health card, but she still helped me register and then I added that stuff later when I was able to have a friend bring that stuff. I was able to not only get an appointment that same day but I think I only waited about 20 minutes. The provider was very fast in seeing me, diagnosed me efficiently, was super nice and had me on my way in like 15-20 minutes. They called in my script and I went and got it that same afternoon. When I first got there the lady was rude and yelled at me for not having the little piece of paper I filled out on the clipboard and kept rolling her eyes and shaking her head. I know her name started with a K and her customer service skills are horrendous. Now I was taken back quickly and the lady that took my BP and all that was great! While waiting to speak with the doctor though the employees got in a screaming match and were cursing at each other. After waited 1.5hr, the staff told me they couldn't find my name so they couldn't perform the Test and I have to go to Raleigh... okay I thought it might be my company fault but then then added it happened yesterday too. The staff at this location were helpful, attentive, and empathic. That is especially true of Hailey, behind the desk. This must be a challenging workplace, because folks usually show up because they are in pain, and likely are not very patient and/or kind. After my initial intake on 2/25/2023, I was turned away, but helpfully advised to visit another local Urgent Care. I was promptly refunded by Hailey and given a receipt before leaving. Though it is likely not her fault, their billing company was a huge mess and seemed in disarray (over the phone). At this point, I don't even know if they are a legitimate business-- original receipt from "Enterprise Payment" and the billing company is supposedly "KLS Financial Services." (A Google search of this entity reveals they are "permanently closed." Huh?! When I revisited the location in-person to see about my refund, we all had a laugh that what the billing department told me was, quote-unquote hocus pocus. The refund took over 3 weeks to process, and I finally had to lodge a dispute with my Bank because of all their shenanigans; coincidentally on St. Patrick's Day. All in all, I would revisit this location if I were in Medical Need. However, I would not try to reason with their third-party billing center. read more

Steer clear of this Urgent Care at all cost! My son who is in college was seen in this facility two different times for the same diagnosis. He was charged $50 for each visit (with our insurance we only have a $20 co-pay). 15 days later, they drafted from his account $150 and 4 days later another $142. I tried calling the billing office many many times, left numerous voicemails for the past 2 days and no one has even contacted me. He has had $392 taken from his account which should have only been $40 and now has overdraft charges. The fact that an urgent care facility is auto drafting money without consent is not ok. Serious Management Issues. Waited outside in a line of 8 people for 25+ minutes past 8:00. I pounded on the door to get someone's attention to the growing line outside. A very nice man told us the they had no front office staff. I decided to leave despite an 8am appt. This is the third time I've been there - each time I go it has gotten worse. THIS PLACE IS A MANAGEMENT DUMPSTER FIRE. Nice staff and doctors - but they ALL complain about being short staffed. Clearly management doesn't care . No visible steps have been made to fix the staffing shortage. Each time customers / patients wait for an hour + past scheduled appointment time. Being locked out long past opening time is the tipping point. I'll never go back. read more

This was my daughters experience with this place -- If you need a COVID 19 test- DO NOT COME HERE.... "My insurance assured me they cover COVID testing 100% - and they do. I called ahead to FastMed to be very clear that I only needed a COVID test for my work (I was symptom free). BUT - when I arrived I was told I had to have an office visit - I was told repeatedly by the staff at Fastmed Urgent care that my bills would be for COVID and the office visit would be a part of it. I was skeptical, but trusted they were not deliberately trying to take advantage of the situation. I found the staff in the front to be extremely condescending and rude. Ultimately, I only needed a COVID test, and was told over the phone could get one, once I was there they forced an office visit and now I am being billed for it. Not only that - but they said I needed the more expensive office visit for some lame reason. I had NO symptoms - I had called ahead and was told nothing over the phone about needing an office visit- It wasn't until after I got there and waited a very long time. I did not have the time to waste another day trying to find a place that could get me in for a COVID test. As a member of the public, I had done my due diligence by calling around and being told I could get the test here (NEVER having mentioned a mandatory office visit)." I have tried to contact billing, but they seem to be shorthanded or too busy. How disgusting that this place is making a profit through unethical procedures during this pandemic. I would never trust this place with anything again. We came here with our young son the day before we travelled to make sure he was under the weather only from a cold and nothing worse. Everyone was nice and the PA "Per" (I think I spelled her name correctly) was nice, thorough and gave us both reassurance that he only had a cold and how to keep him comfortable on the plane home. It's disappointing when your wife has a UTI, and the follow-up care is lacking. She was prescribed a powerful antibiotic that had dramatic, immediate, side effects. She was correctly told to stop taking it, and to wait on cultures. Estimates for when those culture results would be available varied wildly, but did eventually arrive. For each estimate she was promised a follow-up call to recommend next steps. Despite my wife's repeated requests for guidance, such a call never came, and a WEEK has passed. She is fine, but spent several days wondering if her symptoms might return. FastMed dropped the ball. Go elsewhere. read more

VERY IMPORTANT! Avoid this place! I was seen here for COVID-19 symptoms. I was told I would be contacted 4-6 days after testing. I contacted them 4 days after where they said they had the results but they had no been reviewed by a doctor therefore they could not tell me. I called the following morning where they said they did not have the results and never did. They claimed to have no idea why someone told me they had them. I called later that afternoon where they said they had the results and gave me my COVID test results. TODAY, 8 days after testing and 3 days after "my original results", I was contacted by them where they gave me the OPPOSITE result and swear by never telling me the first three answers! My son cut his arm and needed stitches. I called FastMed Chapel Hill at Estes and Franklin at 3:43 pm. The receptionist was very nice. She told me that they close at 4pm, but so long as we arrived before 4pm, we would be seen. I raced over there, but when I got to the door, it was locked. I called them. It was 3:55. A different receptionist told me that he would not be seen, but it was too late. I explained what the first receptionist said. Said, "I don't know who that was." I said, "there can't be too many people working there. Maybe you could ask? We got here before 4 PM with time to spare." The receptionist told me, "it is 3:58." She then hung up on me. We found another urgent care. But it would have saved time, blood, and pain if fast med had simply told us that they could not see us, so we could go straight to another facility. read more

Should rename themselves SLOW-Med Urgent Care. Arrived as soon as the clinic opened and waited over 2 hours in a waiting room with patients who were there for a COVID test. I was just there to provide a urine sample - didn't even need to see a doctor or nurse. There was no separate waiting room for patients who were there for COVID tests, and the chairs were not socially distanced apart. Twice now I have walked in and been denied treatment because I did not have an appointment. The first time I was there by 2pm - well before closing I could not be seen as I did not have an appointment and would have to come back tomorrow morning. As it was not urgent I did that . The next day I got there as they opened . IT was over an hour from the tie I got there till they swabbed my nose. The second time I had been severely bitten by a cat on my hand. As it was Saturday my doctor's office was closed. I called the number of the office's nurse and she said I should be seen right away and get antibiotics as cat bites are dangerous. Waited 20 minutes in line with one person at counter. It was 1pm - again well before closing time. The receptionist said I did not have appointment and could not be seen before Monday afternoon. I explained what the nurse said about my needing antibiotics right away as wound on hand dangerous. She said go to another clinic. she gave me the name of a clinic but not where it was. They saw me within 15 minutes of getting there. th etime wiht the doctor took only 10 minutes, and they started me on the antiobiotics Fast me is NOT fast. It is NOT a walk-in clinic with no appointment needed as advertised. It does not take into consideration what is needed when you walk in They could have squeezed in a ten minute look at my hand. Horrible experience. Waited two hours on a Friday for a crushed thumb. Had x rays done and the dr wouldn't prescribe pain meds because she didn't think it looked broken despite excruciating pain. She promised to call me to let me know what the radiologist said. Never got my results. I called multiple times per day and was told I'd get a call back with my results. I called for a fifth time today and waited on hold until the dr could speak to me. My thumb has been FRACTURED for 3 days and nobody bothered to call and tell me. The dr said I needed to go to the ER to get it rechecked because it is still numb then called me in ONE pain pill. Now i'm at the ER and may have nerve damage. The previous visit my 6 year old was diagnosed with strep and they prescribed half the antibiotic dose she needed. Also, their online system login is broken so there's no way to get any information about your visit. Even the lady at the front desk couldn't get it working when I came to pickup my xray disc to take to ER. AVOID this abysmal establishment. Not sure if they live in the dinosaur age but they update their hours using a sheet of paper taped to the door instead of posting their updated hours online which could save everyone the time and gas money. Furthermore we showed up at 8 and they had up a sign that they would be back at 9, when we returned they had a new sign up that said they were closed for the day. My husband went in for a COVID test, it took 2 hours and in the end he was billed $100 for some bs about needing a doctor's note. Highly highly unethical. I had to get one a month ago and I went to the cvs drive-through where it was actually free and took less than 10 minutes.
