We asked how much linger and they said 1 person ahead and waited for another 35 five minutes and 2-3 people were called before us. Not usually one to leave reviews but this place had a lot of negative reviews and I don't think it deserves that. I scheduled an appointment online and was able to be seen the same day. I checked in and the woman at the desk was friendly. The waiting room was full but people were being called back every 10-15 minutes. My appointment was at 12 and I was called back before 1. Once I was seen, the appointment moved quickly and I was out of the office before 2. The doctor and nurse who saw me were knowledgeable, answered my questions, and I didn't feel rushed out of the office. Listen, I had the flu and was feeling miserable and still would not give this place 1 star. Give the people a break, they're doing all they can. Long wait times are because there's short staff everywhere and people getting sick. read more

sprain knee , called ahead to ensure site had x-ray , given appt time , then another when I called back stuck in traffic . friendly and astute front desk experience as my Medicare card was tried 5 times and denied , self paid before being seen . wonderful nurse took vitals and X-ray . great job !! Worse urgent care I ever visited. Took my son her over the weekend who theh refered him out but refused to give where they sent referral. Service is horrible. Not organized, after working in healthcare myself for years you inform patients to where they are referred. It doesnt take 10-14 business days. NEVER NEVER go here. My baby had split in her chin, bleeding, needed stitches and they would not even see her. The front desk girl called the PA over the phone, (no MD in building) and told us to go to the emergency room. "She might need sedation" said the girl. My poor baby helpless and they turned their backs on us. She (the PA) has time to take a call but not time to assess my baby. I asked for my baby to be seen, still nothing. I would have been ok if PA at least laid eyes on my child and re-directed us somewhere else, they downright refused us. NEVER would I seek medical care (by choice) at a place that REFUSES to even see a patient!!!! HOW DARE YOU associate yourself as a "healthcare provider." Damn you, your staff and your fake establishment of care. I'll make sure none of my family, friends, or colleagues know not to go here. read more

Very unorganized place. Came in on a Wednesday for pre employment drug test no one was in the waiting room and they turned me around saying I need an appointment so I schedule an appointment for next day. I arrive 10 minutes early for appointment and it's already 12 people in waiting room so no problem. Check in and literally been here for an hour and 10 minutes only seen two people go back. Not to mention it's like 20 people in this small waiting room. People with sick kids, everyone made appointments and nobody has been seen yet. Literally packed in this waiting room people standing up and everything. So please don't think you are going to come in and out even if you have an appointment. I love the folks at the Garner FastMed. We came in 30 minutes before closing feeling pretty miserable. They saw us both, very quickly, and they could not have been kinder or more patient. We got great care, a great perscription and we felt better the very next day. The people here are thoughtful, professional and very good at their jobs. I was seen on a Sunday, told to call back on Tuesday, Tuesday-Thursday I called only to be told someone will call me back. Called on Friday and was told the office staff needed 4 hours to contact labcorp to verify where my results were. Why wasn't this call made on Tuesday or Wednesday-Friday when you realized the results weren't in? Why string patients along . I contacted labcorp myself they informed me my results were sent to the Doctor on Thursday yet on Friday the Dr's office blamed labcorp for not having recieved results. Logged in for an appointment for a rapid Covid test this morning at 10:30am. I showed up on time and the receptionist said it didn't matter if you had an appointment, it was going to be a 3 hour wait. For a rapid Covid test? Place is pathetic, dirty, and advertises falsely on its website. It is pathetic that this is the only place in the Raleigh area that can do a rapid Covid test. The other places doing tests on the Wake County Covid website all have a 24-48 hour reporting time after taking the test. read more

The health care provider who examined me, Ms. Elizabeth Michelle HANES, PA-C, was very professional, quickly and decisively diagnosed my ailment, and prescribed medications which dispensed with the problem effectively. read more

I needed a COVID test so I made an appointment for 2:45PM. After waiting over an hour, I called and was told that there were 4 people in line infront of me, and that my wait was unknown. I then called back to cancel and was told that my appointment was only an online check in time. However, on my receipt from confirming my appointment, it clearly stated that I had an appointment not an online check in time. The lady on the phone was kind and understanding, however, it is clear that this location is understaffed and overbooked and I will not be returning. read more

My two-year-old split his knee open, and he was certainly not the most easy patient. The building itself is dated but still very clean. The front desk staff and the nursing staff was very accommodating and got us in and out quickly. It took several of us to hold my son while the doctor glued his knee. There is nothing Fast about this Fast Med. Arrived at about 2:30pm. Had to use a tablet to check in , including scanning in I.d. Andinsuramce card. Then when you go backroads the Desk, they still ask you for the I.d and insurance card-redundant. I arrived at 9:00ish on Saturday, 11/17/2018 dealing with chronic hip pain that had escalated. The receptionist, nurse and doctor, Dr. Gilmore, I think her name was, were very kind. They put the C in Compassionate! Though I had not completed paperwork online, the check in process was easy. I was the second person in but my entire wait was only 15-20 minutes. Another thing that I found refreshing was that I got seen as soon as they took me back. I wasn't placed in a room for a long time before anyone saw me. I was in a lot of pelvic pain so sitting was challenging to say the least. In order to get X-rayed, I had to lay flat on a table that had no padding whatsoever. It hurt so badly I was in tears. The nurse was very empathetic and tried to work with me in a way that lessened the pain. Although there was little she could do, she was soooo caring and genuinely sad that she couldn't help more. The doctor was kind and listened intently to my symptoms. When everything was done she told me what she was prescribing to help me to feel better. Not only that, but she gave me a timeline to start seeing improvement. If there was no improvement, she told me what the next steps would be, why and how to get the ball rolling. When I asked about the cost of the meds, she whipped out her phone and had an app that told her the cost of the drugs. This, she did while I was there so I wouldn't have any surprises when I went to the pharmacy. To me, this was very significant as prescription drugs can be expensive; and more times than not, you get a big surprise at the pharmacy counter. Finally, I would have given my experience 5 stars had the receptionist not engaged in a prolonged lively exchange with the person before me. I don't think she meant any harm but it was obvious that I wasn't feeling well. That said, overall, my experience was a 5! Hands down the best experience I've *ever* had at any urgent care and I've been to multiple ones in my adult life. read more

My husband had to go to this urgent care after a work accident, although the wait-time was short the experience was very disappointing for being a healthcare facility. My husband explained to the nurse what brought him in and then went out the room to complete an eye exam. While completing the eye exam the PA abrupting interjected in a loud tone of voice asking if he would glass and then repeating her question shortly after following if he asking if he wore glasses. My husband and I were thrown off by her louder than normal tone of voice but moved on while we went back to the room to wait. The PA returned to the room before even saying Hi or introducing herself she asked if my husband understood her and he said yes in a questioning tone wondering why she was asking this. The PA then asks again if he is sure. My husband is a bilingual Latino. My husband and I felt racial judged by the PA assumption that a Latino person can not speak English. My husband spend his entire life in the United States and spoke English throughout his entire visit. It concerning that he was judged by his racial appearance. After this it was later clear on why she spoke with an increase tone during his eye exam. PA then requested we return Friday for a re-evaluation. My husband and I thought this was a long wait time for our next visit. When we asked if he could return sooner if he started to feel better for a re-evaluation to return to work her response was we should wait until Friday but she doesn't work until then for "continuation of care." It is concerning for me to think a patient who needs to return to work has to wait until the same doctor is available when another doctor could easily complete the evaluation if he was feeling better. She is just causing more hardship requesting him to return on a day she works. My husband and I will not being returning as we experienced racial bias, racial assumptions, and care based on the provider work schedule compared to patient care being a priority. read more

I was seen in the office the 2nd week in May which is almost 2 months ago. I happen to look at my bank transactions today and notice a very large charge from them. However in the 2 months I have not seen NO bill. How are you going to charge me with out even notifying me by mail or phone call. Plus I found out that my insurance paid them in full. Melissa is an incredible think outside the textbook medical provider. Brilliant with excellent bedside manner. Candice in the front desk is ON IT! The whole staff has cared for our family for a couple of years now and we just left our pediatrician of 13 years to bring our kids to see this office. I forgot the name of the nurse but she drew the blood for daughter and there was no pain at all. Very sweet and gentle. I am so grateful for this office!!! read more

Excellent, speedy service! Went in right at 2PM today for a muscle spasm/pulled muscle in my neck and right shoulder issue I've had for a few days. Was seen within 45 minutes and the dr listened to my symptoms, medications and remedies I'd already tried, and did a physical exam. With the amount of pain I was in, the prompt and courteous service was much appreciated! read more

I am really upset with this urgent care. While the nurse spent more time with me taking vitals than the doctor did diagnosing me, I ended up receiving an EMAIL only from them stating per my insurance, that I owed more money, which is fine. But the email also said they were going to AUTOMATICALLY take out that extra $125 from the card I paid my copay with within 2 days time. First, you don't email someone that. Second, I did not authorize you to keep my credit card information on file. Third, I did not authorize you to deduct any additional money from that card. You don't email a patient that you are taking more money from them automatically within a couple days without speaking with them. Many don't check their emails regularly. That seems very fraudulent. Then, I can't get a hold of the billing department to speak to someone about this. I work in the medical field and have never heard of this before. read more
