He listens , he's not condescending and he takes the time to know you. I feel that many Dr.s offices these days make you feel like you need to "take a number" to be seen. I do agree with another review I see here where the person was upset about no one seeing her parents right away when they had an emergency. Before I became a patient of Dr. Murray I called on one occasion with an emergency and got no response with any assistance from this office. These days I don't you'd have this problem. On Tuesday morning I felt worse and called again. No answer. Left a message. On Tuesday afternoon I called again. No answer. Left a message. I ended up calling the nurse line as I was desperate with a 103° fever. No answer BUT I at least got a call back. They said "sorry we can't help you today" I asked for an appointment tomorrow and they said "you have to call in the morning to get an appointment for same day" WHAT? I have been trying to get help from my doctor for 2 days!!! My husband ended up calling the second they opened on Wednesday because I was too sick. He luckily got someone to answer but they couldn't see me until 3:40pm. That was over 48hours since I originally called to get an appointment. The appointment was fine. I saw Heather and she was nice and caring. I liked Heather she is the only good part of this story and the only reason I didn't give 0 stars! I have strep and the flu. Of course with 2 major illnesses questions and stuff come up so I had to call the nurses line the next day as I was unable to eat or drink. I called 3 times before I got a response. I tried to message on the online portal to see if it was faster. A doctor named Stephanie whom I have never met responded to me very rudely. Keep in mind I am NOT a doctor. I don't know anything about these things so I'm asking questions. Stephanie responded to me like I was very dumb, and annoying for asking questions. Needless to say I will be finding a different practice. One that answers the phone and doesn't speak down to patients.

My previous doctor that I tried turned out to be one of the worst experiences and I never returned. I actually don't like going to the doctors because I feel most of the time that my time is wasted and I feel like an inconvenience. However, I found this office and made an appointment. The entire process from start to finish was unbelievably easy and pleasant. When I called to make the appointment, I assumed I would have to schedule the appointment for a month or two in advance since I would be a "new patient" (like my previous office made me do). Nope! The lady on the phone scheduled me for an appointment right away. So easy I couldn't believe it! I go in for my appointment, the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I checked in, filled in all my paperwork on the computers they provide and was called back within minutes. My doctor was Dr. Brayboy. I just want to say he is and will my doctor for a very long time!! He actually listens to what I am saying, explains things in detail, takes his time, very knowledgeable and I genuinely felt that he cared about my well-being. I can't say that I've ever experienced this before and I can't explain how happy and relieved to know that there are still great doctors out there. What I thought was also nice about this office is that they have a pharmacy literally in the waiting room, so when I finished up, Dr. Brayboy sent over the prescription and it was ready within 10 minutes. Also, they didn't have a prescription that I needed but got it in the next day- they will deliver it to me! The doctors and PAs aren't the problem--they're professional and capable. It's the system they operate within. It's profit-driven, demands unnecessary follow-ups, uses platforms that constantly malfunction, and if you find a doctor you like, don't get attached. They leave. Here's what pushed me over the edge: I submitted a prescription refill request a week ago, a few days before I ran out. I've sent multiple messages and left voicemails. When I finally reached someone today, I got attitude and zero accountability. My provider had been out for over a week with no coverage plan. Nobody was monitoring her messages or prescription requests. No one communicated this. My voicemails went unreturned. When I called to ask what was happening, I was told: "I'm not responsible for anyone else. It's not my problem." That's Avance Care in a nutshell.
