This office has been my PCP for several years. Apparently, you're damned if don't o on a regular basis. I didn't realise that it has become so difficult to even make an appointment. On August 1st 2024 I called to make an appointment and that was an issue3 with a rude woman on the phone. I said that I needed an antibiotic and please have the nurse to call me and to make me the first available appointment. I'ts September and I still haven't been called nor was an appointment made. I just tried to call and make an appoinment for just a routine visit 09/09/2024 but that is obvIiosly an issue because stating a routine visit to the woman who kept asking over and over is this for a refill? am I ill/ did I need a physical? I just want an appointment for a routine visit and that is not good enough for this practice anymore. I will be finding another PCP because this is rediculous. read more

I have liked this practice of doctors since I started going here 9 years ago! Wide variety of doctors to choose from and always friendly staff. I am always able to get an appointment fairly quickly if needed. I just recently needed to have my daughter's swimmer ear looked at. Her pediatrician, didn't have time for her pain, so I called my family doctor. Garner Family took us right away and gave her medicine and she was back swimming for her team in less than two days. I am now switching to them from the pediatrician. Yes, my kids are now older, so I guess it is time anyway. read more

I've never rated somewhere before because I've worked costumer service before and it's rough but this place was ridiculous I Called looking for a primary care doctor for myself. Just got insurance for the first time so I call and speak too a Barbara to get some information and to see if the still accept my insurance and I was told she couldn't look it up and if I came to see a doctor I'd know when I got billed i was charged more then I thought I'd be charged I asked if there was someone who could answer my questions a little better or if I could speak with a manager and I was told that no one was there but I was given a name Amanda (manager) and when I asked for a last name I was told "I don't think I'm aloud to give any last names out?!?!?" Want told when I'd be able to get in contact with said manager either. This place is a joke and I'd rate score lower if I could!! read more

Doctors communicate well amongst each other. I do wish it were closer to where I am now. However, it's worth the drive because I know they care and they listen. Hard to get an appointment at times. The phone rings for a while if you call early to make an appointment. Often I've felt like the person on the phone was rude and didn't really want to help schedule an appointment for me. It would be easier if the MyChart app allowed you to schedule from there. read more

My family and I have been going here for years, and while the doctors are great, the front office staff is AWFUL. I have had them on more than one occasion fail to return phone calls for appointment requests. The last time my mother came in for blood work they did not enter her paperwork into the system correctly so after waiting for over an hour she finally went back to the desk to see what the problem was. When it was corrected, they didn't apologize and laughed about the mistake. I have frequently heard staff at the front making personal calls on their cell phones while I was waiting to be seen. If you can put up with the inefficient and sometimes downright rude front office staff the practice is otherwise a good choice. read more

My wife has been a patient at Garner Family Practice for some time now so we consider Dr. Ennis to be our family doctor. I have been fortunate enough to not be sick very often until now. I can't remember when I've felt this bad so I tried to make an appointment and couldn't. The lady that answered the phone was unbelievably rude and said I can't make an appointment because I was considered a new patient and Dr. Ennis wasn't excepting new patients even though my wife sees her on a regular basis. I have been a patient here for twenty years and had my first unpleasant experience recently. I did not see my regular doctor, so I suppose that was part of the problem. The physician rushed me through without truly listening to what I was telling her. I ended up in the ER two days later, which resulted in surgery. read more

Rude people! If it weren't for Dr. Winkel, I would have left a long time ago. As soon as I can, I'm leaving. The wait times are long, the people who answer the phone are rude, the front desk is inefficient, and the lab personnel are rude. Can't wait to leave! read more

Most doctors are OK. Others not so much. Office staff are rude, inconsiderate and seem to have forgotten that they work in a doctor's office. Example: Call in sick in the AM (~9:00). "Our computers are down, call back around 3:00". read more

I have been going to this practice for over 20 years. And I love Dr Spivey. And I highly recommend Dr Spivey. However, I have some things going on with me and have left two messages since Friday and have been very disappointed with the response or lack there of that I have received. On Friday, instead of calling me back, like I requested, I received a "letter" from his MA through the patient portal when I specifically asked for a return call. Then, I call this morning and ask for a return call and still no response. Frankly, I don't feel like joining with UNC did this hometown practice well. It didn't used to be this way before they joined a large network. I honestly feel like just a number now and it doesn't feel good when I know something isn't right with me. I wish Dr Spivey would open his own practice and things could go back to the way it used to be... read more

I do no recommend this office. They are never on-time even if you have an appointment; I find myself waiting in he waiting area for 30+ minutes only to go back to a room to wait for almost another 30+ minutes to see the doctor. The staff at the front desk are rude and will only be nice if you bring a goodie (I heard one specifically state this to someone who brought Bojangles to the office. They have been unprepared for appointments and they don't seem to care about their patients, which is why I've pulled my whole family from this office and found another office with friendly staff that genuinely cares. read more
