I don't usually go to the doctor unless I'm feeling absolutely terrible--and this past Thursday was one of those days. I went into CareNow Urgent Care - McCreless in San Antonio, honestly expecting the usual rushed outnumbered visit, but that was not my experience at all because of the NP. I was fortunate enough to be seen by Nurse Practitioner Brunink, and she was truly exceptional. From the moment she walked in, her bedside manner stood out--she was kind, patient, and took the time to really listen. She didn't make me feel like just another number, and her thoroughness gave me confidence that I was in good hands. She explained everything clearly and made sure all my concerns were addressed before I left. After 25 years in the military, I've encountered a wide range of medical providers, and I can honestly say I wish I had come across more like her throughout those years. That level of care, attention, and professionalism makes a lasting impact. If you're hesitant about urgent care visits like I usually am, this location--and especially Nurse Practitioner Brunink--might just change your perspective. read more

Urgent care here walk-ins are apparently hit or miss and you cannot call them as they never answer their phone. Attempted to take my mother here (who's covered by here insurance" "We can't see you, you don't have an appointment" This place ... I blame myself... when attempting to share your concerns, I'm was under the impression that positive changes would occur in administration, but they've continue to keep showing me negative results. read more

I was feeling absolutely awful, so I checked my insurance portal to see which urgent care facilities were in network, and this one popped up. I saw that I could save time by registering online so I took advantage of that option. It worked to my advantage because two people had just walked in right before me. I was seen immediately!! I didn't have to wait at all! Upon listening to my concerns and taking my vitals, the nurse practitioner immediately identified a serious condition and wrote up a referral for the hospital. I declined the ambulance transport to the hospital and opted for my husband to take me. The nurse practitioner called the hospital herself which streamlined me right into the hospital's system. I was seen immediately at the hospital despite it being a full house with long wait times. The entire staff at CareNow Urgent Care were friendly and welcoming. Brenda Martinez, MA, and Geneve Mendoza-Olguin, NP, had excellent bedside manners and provided a calming presence during a scarry situation. Hopefully, I don't have to utilize these services again but if I'm ever in a situation where I do, I'll come here! read more

Advertised as a walk in clinic but it's not! The lady at the front is extremely rude and unprofessional. People are sick!! The last thing we want to be greeted with is a rude, uninviting lady! She said she would try and "squeeze me in". It specifically says "walk-in welcome" on the door!! There are no chairs in the lobby area to sit and wait...ridiculous. I almost left. I hope the doc can ease my frustration at least a little bit. read more

Fast and professional from start to finish. Went for my Covid19 test, my roommate got it so wanted to be checked. Upon entry I was greeted and assisted the whole way through the process. The nurse was very helpful and warm hearted. I felt comfortable while she did that dreadful test everyone keeps talking about. All in all, not so bad. Made my eyes tear a bit and sneeze a couple times. Hopefully I'll get the results back fast. Thanks to everyone at the clinic for a good first time experience. Will recommend this place. read more

Scheduled my appointment online. But that was a waste. I showed up 10 mins prior to my appointment (only 20mins after they opened), there were only 4 people sitting in the waiting. I filled out the required paperwork, and then waited for another hour and 15mins before I was even taken back for vitals. Oddly people that showed up after me were seen before I was. Only reason I did not rate this place 1 star was because it was relatively clean and the staff were nice. Next time I'll drive to the nicer area of town. read more

I completely understand with the whole covid thing happening and how stressful it is and a lot of patience is worn to it's very last thread, however went to get checked that part was great to me it was fast and speedy when it came to getting my prescriptions however not at all. Why have the iPad have me fill out where to send prescriptions to one pharmacy only to send it to a completely different pharmacy? To make it worse I called multiple times for the customer service department only for it to stay ringing and by the 3rd minute I get booted off, here were the times I called 12/28/20 12:39pm call duration 3min 12/28/20 5:42pm call duration 3min 12/28/20 5:49pm call duration 3min Reason for the duration being only three min, that's how long the phone kept ringing until it just kicked me off the call. Then following up today 12/29/20 I had my wife head up there seeing as how I'm not allowed to go anywhere at this point she is then poorly greeted when my wife approached to figure out this issue the woman at the front desk began to have attitude in which my wife returned the attitude with a back hand of her own attitude. Needed a quick in and out which they advertise. Arrived 10min before they opened. Once we were let inside the staff stated they would be with us shortly that they had no provider. Ten minutes after that they tell us they won't have a provider for another hour which would be 10:30a. Wasted 30min for nothing! All 5 patients waiting walked out. read more

Terrible service. I came here to be seen because I may have pneumonia. But because I don't have a physical plastic health insurance card to be scanned, I get turned away. I showed them my official temporary card from the United Heathcare website and apparently these women from the stoneage can't accept me because they can't scan it for their records. How about a little bit of creative thinking? I could have emailed it to you.... And you could have printed it out. But there's no reasoning with pure laziness.... I bet the two front desk ladies high fived each other as I walked out because they didn't have to work. read more

Came to fast med today. Battling round 2 of the flu bug. Closest clinic to me, they wouldn't see me, as I have no insurance or $215 to pay for services. I'm really disappointed, this medic clinic is more about getting paid first, then seeing patients second. read more

First time here and everything was wonderful. I usually go to Texas medclinic where the wait is long and there is always an issue with bill. I needed to find a new clinic. With today's experience at FastMed Urgent Care I did. The staff were helpful and kind. The Doc was amazing. She was helpful and very personable. After forgetting my daughters asthma medications and our pharmacy being closed, we couldn't get prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy. I was desperate to get a prescription for her. After trying minute-clinic and redi-clinic who no longer accept any walk in patients. And had no appointments available. We ended up at the FastMed clinic and I will tell you... I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly. We got in right away and our PA (can't recall his name... sorry.) was understanding and very accommodating to help us get the nebulizer we needed and got us on our way back to our vacation. Took care of me, very nice and sweet. Kept everything private. It was quick, and they made sure I knew everything that was going on.

I spent an hr and 15 minutes just waiting for my id and insurance card to be returned.. then another 10 minutes to get called back for vitals and another 20 minutes to get out from being checked. For being called fastmed they sure are slow. It was faster when it was an urgent care. And the same people still work there! The people are nice especially shomo he is always there treating my family and i with care, but the whole process sucks, really makes me not want to go back, but of course what other option is the if the dt hospitals suck woth service as well... read more

I will never use any FastMed services again. My son who is a college student had to be seen in late December at the McCreless location. I went with him to a scheduled visit. He would not be seen until I provided MY cc info. He doesnt have cash to pay upfront for medical services. We have full benefits. They would not bill me the deductible balance. I live out of state. Had I not been there to give my cc info, he would not have been seen. They charged my credit card and when I called for an itemized statement for my flex spending they said he needs to provide permission to speak with them. I told the girl at billing I'm not asking for personal medical info, I just need a statement or bill where I was charged the dedubtible. These clinics are more interested in collecting their $$ than treating the patient....Oh, and even if you schedule an appt online when you arrive they tell you "there are no appts, you still have to wait, its all walk-in basis"... so... why have us schedule an online appt ??? read more

PA was excellent and the front desk assistant is great. I would say my only concern is that they seem to take quite a long time between the time the patient walks in and the time they get called but, it was kind of packed the day I went. The facilities were easy to find and they were clean. read more
