Good place if you need a doctor visit and either don't have a physician or your current physician's office is not open (I.e. weekends). You can easily make a same day online appointment. They accept most insurance companies and it's a co-pay. Easy iPad check in at the front. They do have plenty of parking and this location is clean. The new lady at front desk wouldn't let me get seen after I've been coming here for 10 years. She tried to tell me they don't take my insurance anymore. I was just there in the same month. The child in front me had peanut allergy and she wouldn't let him get seen either. It's been changed to fast med a long time ago and they were still taking my insurance. Very frustrated with the medical attention I received. My son had a high fever, they ran all the tests and I was told everything checked out okay. They said to call them in the morning if he still had a fever. The next day, his fever was still up and down. I took him to Texas Pediatrics Urgent Care and they told me he had a double ear infection. Fast Med told me his ears looked fine. Then I get a bill for their services, disputed it and their response was that I still owe. I will never go back read more

I will never return to this urgent care again. I'm sorry but the nurse practitioner was absolutely no help. The staff was amazing, the medical assistant that helped me was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I went in for extreme nausea and sore throat and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. She gave me meds that don't even help with a sore throat or nausea. The pharmacy I went to even knows this NP to be known for prescribing wrong meds and miss diagnosing people. A coworker of mine when to her previously and was misdiagnosed. I wish I would of known before wasting $70 between copay and meds. I would post a no star rating if I could, and ironically enough I NEVER leave reviews. They charged me for a $300 deductible that I do not have on my policy. I was sick and they took advantage of me for it too. I went in with strep expecting to just get my meds prescribed and go home and be done. Nope. I got sent home with no medicine, just told it was a sore throat and take Tylenol. Next day I obviously woke up far worse!! I had to run to an ER and missed another day of work for the dr to tell me I have STREP! And now months later I am realizing I do not have a deductible and have to go through my carriers to resolve this issue. I took my son to FastMed Urgent Care Tomball to have his lacerated lip treated. They advertise treatment of "Cuts, Scrapes, Wounds, Abrasions, & Burns". After filling out paperwork and waiting 20 minutes, we met the doctor at the door to the discover they could NOT treat him since it was an injury in his mouth. We left immediately, with the understanding that no service and no charge was applied. We immediately left and went to Next Tier Urgent care where they treated his lip and prescribed some antibiotics. A months later we received a bill from FastMed for $140.00. I have been trying to dispute the charge with their North Carolina office for months and now it has been turned over to collections. In all cases, no one cares, they just want it to be paid. FastMed didn't care about treating my son and they don't care about working out the disputed claim. I will not go there again. read more

Awful. Don't waste your time if you're a working parent. They advertise that they're open until 8pm but check in their last patient around 6:15. With nobody else in sight. Worst customer service I've ever seen, this morning. No one in my family will be returning. We have always gone to Fastmed for things that kind of spring up out of the blue. I have an ear infection and went in to see if I could get some antibiotics. What I got was a girl that appeared completely depressed, and rude. She informed me that policy changes now require an annoying iPad-based check-in, of 10 pages and also, my usual price of 30 dollars (my co-pay) is now 125 dollars because of their changes. I might've been willing to deal with all of this and pay that cost, if the girl behind the counter was polite. Might as well purge my records and my entire family of 7. We won't be back Fastmed. The whole world is moving this way - dead customer service, rising prices, opening late. Also, I showed up right at 8am. Doors were still locked until this same girl showed up, late, to unlock them. Bye! There are telemedicine services that you can pay completely out of pocket that will be cheaper than most copays, can see you faster, don't open late, and smile when they see you. read more

My experience at FastMed Urgent Care was phenomenal! I was in severe pain from a toothache. I was the first patient to arrive on this day & the receptionist greeted me with a very professional demeanor. The wait time was great & once seated in the back someone came in within 3-5 minutes. The doctor on staff that day was very kind & comical. Overall the entire staff was very concerned, compassionate & caring! They also texted me to see if I was feeling better. I have been impressed with their doctors, but I have been charged twice for every visit. Every single visit, which will not happen again. Billing is difficult to deal with and my insurance company provides better service than they do. This costs me so much time, 6 phone calls minimum each of the 3 times this has happened. Most incompetent staff ever. My boss sends soooo many of us there for a DOT physical (every two years). Apparently some of this upper staff must be new or confused. Upon completing the physical they told me I needed a form signed by my primary care physician to show my meds don't hinder me from driving. That's pretty standard. The form was given to me and I drove it to my primary care physician personally because they would be closing soon. They were able to get the document sent back to this clinic that night. However, this clinic couldn't find it. So I called and had them resend it. Then all the sudden they wanted my doctor's staff to put the form on their own letterhead, which made no sense considering the letter is them asking to fill in the blanks for a DOT physical this clinic conducted not my primary care physician. So I I drove it back to them and my primary care physician and staff did just that immediately regardless of how ridiculous of a request it was. I brought it back and this clinic was still not happy. They then said well that form was just a template. They need to make their own form stating the information. Mind you, the form actually had blank sections to be selected by my primary care physician. It also had a place for him to sign! Soooo my doctor's staff had to waste even more time making a new form! On top of that this clinic was all the sudden like, "Oh also, we need another form now too." Like how ridiculous can one place be. I legit started wondering if I was on some Punkd episode. However, I must say, the lady up front, Ariel, was nice. I'm sure she was thinking the same thing I was but couldn't say it. She just had to do what she was told. Pulled in at 2:55 as a new patient. Filled out paperwork, waited in the lobby 3 minutes, called back for vitals, moved to a room and waited 3 minutes. Dr came in and performed tests, explained the situation, wrote a script, called it in and had me out the door by 3:28. Staff was friendly and helpful and they accepted images of my health insurance card rather than the actual card. I was only person the the place when I walked in. I went in for a fever and was called back quickly. They immediately did a flu test and was told it would be a 10 minute wait but ended up taking an hour. The room was pretty dirty and I was not impressed. There was dirt all over the floor, hair, and crumbs. The doctor came in told me my flu test was negative but would still treat me for flu and prescribe a zpack for pneumonia. The visit with the doctor was really short and not worth the wait. read more

Great staff at this location! I came in for a workers comp related injury and they immediately took care of me even so close to their closing time too. The girl at the front desk verified all of my worker comp information with my employer and I was seen by NP, Lisa Patton. I absolutely loved her. She was VERY attentive and such a great listener. She was very empathetic with my situation and it's medical staff like her that make coming to an urgent care or any hospital / doctor's office such a great experience. I was blessed to have Cat see me last Sunday for what turned out to be a nasty infection. Every time I've gone to FastMeD I have seen Cat. She is ABSOLUTELY the best. I was feeling under the weather with a hacking cough, sore throat and nausea. I live in the Tomball area and began searching on the web for a local urgent care. I found a FastMed location near 2920 and 249 and decided to go there as it was close. I went to their website and made an appointment. I also checked the reviews and found a review of a 1. I thought it was probably an anomaly and decided to go anyway. When I arrived, I saw that they were very busy. However, check in and registration was very fast. The front desk rep Amanda was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding my insurance. No sooner than I finished the paperwork I was brought back into a room for triage. The Medical Assistant Christina was very thorough, quick and pleasant and I quickly found myself in a room. I was seen by a Nurse Practitioner named Cat who took time to discuss my past medical history and listened to what I had to say about my issue. She was informative and explained why I wouldn't need some of the tests I was asking for. She prescribed medications for me and made sure I understood all of my documentation. Checkout was easy and I was on my way. I even got a Work note without asking. The gal who rated this location with a one must have been somewhere else because they were awesome and saved me a lot of money by not doing needless tests. I am a Renal Transplant Patient and must be extremely careful with my medical care. Virtually everything is Downtown. However, some things can be done without the long trip and wait. The first time I went to FastMed in Tomball, Tx, I was surprised to find a doctor that was there that normally works with Transplant Patients downtown at the Medical Center. I have gone several times since and have always received excellent care from knowledgeable doctors. They remember me and know what medicine they gave me in the past for my problem, which is generally a UTI. I am always in and out very quickly and on my way to recovery. As an Immune Suppressed Patient, a UTI can easily turn into a hospital stay. With these doctors, that has not happened. I was seen by the nurse practitioner and she told me that she doesn't think that I have a pneumonia but she put in a prescription for a z pack for pneumonia. Then she said it might just be allergies but that it might turn into strep, but she didn't do a strep test. Which is it?
