Tasteless and thin on meat. Steak was stringy and the whole sandwich was bland. Not worth the money and not the quality I remembered.

Love the Fab4. I've been a fan of Fat Alberts since I was young, and it's still the best sub in town.

We've never ordered from Milano's before, first time customers, and I can assuredly say we will not be back. Very rude customer service! Our order arrived and unfortunately, the poutine was missing. I called Milano's right away, and they did nothing to fix the problem, nor were they even willing to! I was told too bad, it's Friday night and it's busy and you live to far away, take it up with Door Dash. Wow. So rude and unhelpful. I've had pizza places make mistakes or forget things occasionally over the years. Simple fix - offer to send it out right away or even better - just offer a credit under my name at Milano's for the next time I order. It keeps your customer happy, and it gives you a repeat customer, and likely more business. When I came back for the free poutine, I would've ordered another pizza. The poutine was $7.80, that's it!!! Should've been a simple fix. In these tough times, you should especially value your customer, and when it's over such a measly amount, why not make it right? How hard would it have been to offer me a credit rather than send me away without our full order and without any offer to make it right. Horrible, horrible customer service!!! I will not be back!!!

Sure enough, the convenience store had a lovely display of baked goods with fairly reasonable prices. Cookies were $1.75, some squares and tarts were $2.50 and the fancier tarts were $4.45. Service was very friendly and welcoming, but I didn't feel too great that the staff member touched the pecan butter tart I bought with his bare hands and then went and processed my transaction at the cash register. I saw no handwashing before or after he handled my food. The other items I bought had a cupcake liner and so he just touched the liners with his hand, but the butter tart had no liner. I would have preferred if he wore gloves or used tongs. I bought a Peanut Butter Nanaimo Bar ($2.50), a Milano's Monkey Ball ($2.50), a Lemon Meringue Tart ($4.45), and the aforementioned Pecan Butter Tart ($2.50). All baked goods were delicious. The Peanut Butter Nanaimo Bar had a rich peanut butter taste to it. My husband who loves Nanaimo bars really enjoyed it. The Milano's Monkey Ball was great. I'm not entirely sure what all is in it, but I tasted chocolate, coconut and walnuts. It's like a dense cake. I'm guessing there's also bananas in it, but I didn't taste any strong banana flavour. The Lemon Meringue Tart was my favourite. The meringue was more like a marshmallow, so thick and gooey. I loved it. The lemon part was tart and really rich. I think they call it a Lemon Butter Meringue Tart because the lemon part is buttery and opaque, it's not like a translucent lemon curd. I do prefer the latter though. The majority of the dessert was the marshmallowy meringue, so I was good. I wasn't crazy about the crust though. Too buttery for me, lol. As for the Pecan Butter Tart, well I'm a germaphobe at the best of times, and we were not in the best of times during my visit (Covid Pandemic and all), so when I got home I re-baked it in my oven. And because I'm an impatient glutton, I had to cut it up and sample a quarter of it right away as soon as it came out of the oven. Since it just came out of the oven, the inside was all runny and the outside was all crispy. It was pretty good, but I didn't like the crust of this tart either. Again, I found it too buttery. I had the rest after it had cooled down and the filling solidified. I actually prefer it cooled. The filling had more of that gooey texture that I like. The desserts were excellent. Staff were courteous. My only dissatisfaction was with the hygiene, so minus one star for that. There's free parking out front in the plaza parking lot.

This was such a solid pizza spot. It was my first time trying Indian fusion pizza. If you've had…read morethe Pakistani fusion pizza at Al Raheem Grocery and Shinwari BBQ & Pizza Restaurant, it's definitely different from that. I was in the mood for a vegetarian snack, so I got a small shaahi paneer pizza. It came with Indian gravy, butter-marinated cottage cheese (paneer), onions, and bell peppers. You have the option of spice level - mild, medium, hot, or extra hot. My husband wanted to try it, but he's usually "a mild man", as he says, and I like more heat, so I got medium spice for something in between. The onions and peppers still had some crunch, which I really enjoyed. There was enough paneer and distributed evenly in medium-sized cubes throughout the pizza, about two cubes per slice for a small pizza. There was a good amount of mozzarella, too. There are important details for a cheese lover like me, haha. There wasn't too much gravy/sauce, but still very flavourful and nice spice, not too hot. The crust was thin but not too thin, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Such a great pizza! My husband enjoyed it so much that we ordered a large butter chicken pizza. It's the same as the shaahi paneer pizza, but with pieces of chicken thigh. The chicken was very tender and flavourful, though I have to say I think I enjoyed the paneer better. We also got paneer poppers, with six in an order. They were pieces of paneer marinated in mint-flavoured sauce, breaded with panko-style bread crumbs, and fried. They were crispy on the outside, soft inside, and also had good flavour with some spice. It wasn't heavy on the mint. It said creamy garlic sauce "onside" on UberEats, which for some reason I thought was a typo for "inside", but it really does mean creamy garlic sauce on the side. I wish I realized because I ordered creamy garlic sauce on the side with the pizza and it ended up being the pre-packaged Heinz dipping sauce that we then had two of. I had hoped it would be homemade. We'll order from here again for sure, but I want to try one of the homemade dipping sauces next time, like truffle green onion mayo.

However, I noticed Popular Pizza had opened up next door. I was on the hunt for bubble tea and not pizza, so I made a mental note to return one day to check it out. That day finally came in December (2023). And I'm kicking myself that I waited so long! I got the $19 walk-in special, which was a large pizza, 3 toppings and a dip. Three years ago I would have laughed and said "that's not a deal!" But times have changed and unfortunately that is now in fact a deal, lol. I should mention that that price is inclusive of tax, so it's even more of a deal, haha. I got green peppers and butter chicken as my toppings (butter chicken is a premium topping and counts as 2 toppings). And I chose the Chipotle dip. The wait was about 20 minutes. And service was friendly and efficient. The pizza was fantastic! I like that the crust is thin and crispy and they spread the sauce and toppings all the way to the edge. The pizza had a potent butter chicken taste and they were generous with the toppings. Lots of cubes of lean chicken breast and diced green peppers. It tasted like a true Indian-fusion pizza. So tasty. My husband and I really enjoyed it. The place is strictly takeout. No eat in. There are 3 chairs to sit and wait for your order, but you can't really eat there because there are no tables. They sell pizza by the slice, so I guess you could sit at one of the chairs and eat your slice, lol. Free parking available in the plaza parking lot.

I got a Hot Turkey sandwich platter $13.75 and a slice of Donair pizza $4. They sell pizzas by the slice, but they are not displayed so you have to ask them what kinds they have. The day I went, if I remember correctly, they had 4 types: Cheese, Pepperoni, Bacon and Donair. Slices are $4 each or $5 with a can of pop. 2 slices is $8 or $9 with a can of pop, so no discount if you buy more. However, they do have a pickup discount, which is the equivalent amount to the taxes you would pay. So essentially if you pick up, they pay the tax :) The Hot Turkey sandwich platter was really good. It came with fries and coleslaw. I liked that the coleslaw was vinegar based and not mayo based. It was mostly cabbage with a bit of carrot. I enjoyed it. The fries were just regular fries but they were crispy and good. The sandwich had real turkey breast meat in it (can you believe that I once ordered a hot turkey sandwich and it was a deli meat turkey sandwich covered in gravy?!? Obviously not at this restaurant, lol). The bread was the regular white sandwich bread, but what really set this sandwich apart was the delicious peppery gravy. Man, that stuff is really good! The pizza was good too. They put toppings under the cheese here, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The donair was thick pieces and tasted more like sausage, but it was still good. The sauce has a distinct flavour to it, which I can't pinpoint, but I liked it. The crust was crispy and even though the crust was thicker than I usually like, I still enjoyed it. I liked that the slice came in a cute cardboard box. The platter came in an aluminum container, but the lid was styrofoam. I'm not a fan of styrofoam, I would have preferred a foil-backed cardboard lid. Service was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly. The restaurant is a strip of businesses along Carling Ave just west of Churchill Ave N. There's free parking at the back of the strip. There's a sign and you have to turn in before you actually see the strip of businesses (Georgie's, Sapporo Sushi, and a few other businesses). If you turn into the parking lot after the strip, that one actually belongs to a different strip mall (the one with Markie's Smoked Meat and Mr. Sub). There are signs indicating you can only park there if you are going to a business in that strip mall. Not sure what enforcement is like, but why chance it if there's also free parking in the proper place, right? Since there's a huge median along this part of Carling Ave, you can only access the restaurant if you are driving westbound on Carling. Georgie's has its main entrance on Carling but there's also a back entrance from the parking lot.

Seems basic, but the flavour is outstanding and the dough ball to keep the box from sticking to the cheese is a classically delicious touch. I really like the flavour combinations of the cheese with the sauce puts many other to shame. If you are in this end of the town, give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure.

Although the pizza was really small, like a personal size pizza. I love that in addition to regular toppings that all pizza shops have like pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, etc. they have more cool toppings like chicken, broccoli and artichokes, which are the 3 toppings that I got on my pizza. Both the quantity and quality of the toppings were good. They do put the toppings mostly under the cheese, which is not my preference, but it was still ok. The crust was thicker than I like, and a bit doughy under the toppings, but around the edges it was surprisingly crispy and delicious. Service wasn't rude, but not the friendliest. The place is super small, so it's literally just takeout. They sell some pizza by the slice too, although varieties are limited. I hadn't been here for many years but had frequented it back in the 90s and early 2000s when the original owners Bud And Rita owned it. It was great back in those days. Today was an absolute shock, disappointment and somewhat disgrace on part of the ownership who were not in the store. When I walked in to the take out restaurant, the pizza slices were sitting pre sliced in the warmer on the counter, they didn't really look appealing however it was 12:30 and I was hungry. The young lady opened the glass door and proceeded to cut the slice in half which was out of my sight. after doing so she collected my $6 dollars and slid me half a slice of cold pizza across the counter. I waited momentarily for the other half but after asking about it, I was told that the pizza slices in the window are actually 2 slices. This is a large pizza cut in to 6 slices then cut again in half . That's 12 slices at $6 each. That's $72 for a large pepperoni pizza. Finding this out was a shock. I actually only took this piece of cold pizza in order to show folks just how criminal this business is. This is the $6 pizza slice and this is my dog eating it. BTW I did taste it, and it was absolutely awful. This business owner should be ashamed. Never again.
