I tried this place four times before writing this review, and it was consistent throughout. Here's the bottom line -- the facility/atmosphere is great with ample outdoor seating, really nice umbrellas, a bar, and TV's. I so wanted to love this place, and if I had loved it I'd be there every week. But... the pizza is lacking in quality, is undercooked, and takes too long to come out. To be more specific, the pizza sauce is fairly tasteless. On all four occasions, the toppings (artichokes, black olives, onions, bell peppers) were so sparse that I just as well have ordered a cheese pizza. This pizza is fairly expensive, so there is no excuse for the small topping portions. At the VERY LEAST, they need to double the amount they're currently using. Plus, a soft drink is $3 (fairly shameful way to pad the bill). To my disappointment, the guy who was taking the orders was alternating between operating the register and putting toppings on pizza slices with his bare hands. NO!! He also was not wearing a mask, although touching cash registers/money/food is far worse. Given the really nice facility, this company could be a real winner with just a few changes -- CHANGE THE SAUCE, double the amount of toppings (to bring it up to average standards), cook the pizzas longer, and lower the price of a fountain drink to $2.25. You'll probably triple your business volume. The 30" pizza is somewhat of a novelty, but once you realize that you're never going to get enough toppings on it, you'll realize that size really doesn't matter. read more

I like the pizza and the location. The slice is huge enough for a person. So we order 2 slices instead of the whole pizza. But the ingredients are sparse. Just not enough stuff on the pizza. It tasted great with a very good crust. We enjoyed the drink specials. read more

Foldable New York style slices as big as your head. If you're eating by the slice service is fast, the pie is already made and a slice and water for lunch was less than $10. A fast and inexpensive meal for lunch. The large pie is huge, a decent beer selection makes it a good stop for a large group or your team. read more

I am giving this restaurant 2 stars based on our 1st time eating here; as well as the embarrassing service we had at the end by an employee. We decided to have a dinner date with our kids and another couple. I have been by this place a few times and it looked like a great atmosphere to be in, and the food looked really good also. So we decided to try it. As far as the food and atmosphere they were great! For the way we were literally yelled at across the outside patio and embarrassed not only in front of our friends and children; but other patrons as well. We will not be spending another penny in this establishment. We spent $200 eating at this place for the first and last time. The meal was great and throughout our time dining on the outside patio, my husband and I would walk outside of a side gate that led to an open field next to the highway to smoke a cigarette. We did this 3/4 times throughout our meal. No one ever said anything to us about it. We finish up our meal and pay a $200 bill, I leave the table and step outside of the gated outdoor seating area once again to smoke 1 last cigarette. Half way through, some random girl with brown hair comes outside to the patio and says that "I can't smoke within 50 feet of the patio." "You were already told by my manager." I said "ok I'm sorry, I didn't not realize that." "No one ever spoke to anyone at this table about not smoking." "But ok" and that should have been the end to our dinner. Instead the situation was escalated. This girl then proceeded to go psychotic and literally scream at me across the patio in front of many people stating that "her manager is no longer there but before he left he told her that he already told us not to smoke." The manager she was referring to was a shaved head middle aged guy, stocky build. Who only had been to our table to ask if we were ok, or if we had needed anything. Never once did he mention anything about no smoking. This girl again is escalating this situation and screaming at me basically calling me a "liar" in front of other customers. My husband then jumps in the situation because of how irate and psycho this girl was acting, and tried to tell the girl the same thing , and she then screams at him also. We then gathered our things and on the way out I did let her know that we would never visit that establishment again, nor will our upcoming generations that we are raising nor their kids. (Mind you there is not a single no smoking sign on the premises) She totally dropped the ball on handling the situation, she is definitely not a star customer service employee. She could have handled the situation so much better, but instead embarrassed herself and the company that she represents. There is no excuse for her actions. Apparently that is not the only issue with this company; if what this girl was screaming is true, then there is a serious integrity problem within management of this business also. For a manager to tell a colleague that he had told us something about smoking when in FACT HE DID NOT, is a little shady and too much grey area for me to want to spend my money there again. I also called to speak to the General Manager today about the situation and bad experience that we had our first time eating there, also to get the names of the employees. I left a message about the incident and here we are 6 hours later and still no call back because she was busy at the time that I called. I have allowed an adequate amount of time to go by for this company to try to make the situation better before making this post. It seems like reaching out to them about this situation is not a priority for them. With that being said this company needs to make it a priority to have training courses for their employees to have better customer service, also to learn how to de-escalate a situation instead of causing one. I have left reviews for this location in the past. The last one I think, was highly praising them. This time....not so much.... The staff was absolutely fantastic! The 3 pizzas we bought were not. We typically go and sit at the bar, watch some football or whatever is on. Have a couple really cold beers, then order pies to go. All 3 of our pies were from their menu, house specials. As well as an Italian salad. The salad was very good. The pies however had very little toppings on them. The "meat lovers" hardly had anything on it! The "Hog bbq" pie the same. The third was a veggie thing on a cauliflower crust, also very light on the toppings. I can only think that the economy is playing a part in the choice to trim down on toppings. Our total bill for beer, appetizers and pizza to go was nearly $170. I'm okay with that. Throw the tip on that....a little over $200 and a couple bucks in the tip jar on the bar. When we got home....it was a little disappointing. These were not anything like the pizzas from our previous purchases there. We will likely try again at some point, definitely not anytime soon. The atmosphere and very cold beer will draw us in, but not the pizza. read more

HORRIBLE service, we waited an hour and 7 minutes for our 10 inch pizza. We watched as people that came in 20 minutes after we did received and ate half the super large pizza they ordered. After 57 minutes I had to go up and inquire about our food, and that was another 5 minute wait to get an answer. We were told that the 10 inch gluten free takes longer. At the 1 hour and 7 min mark we got up and got our money back. WHAT A HUGH DISAPOINTMENT - I will never go back. This was at the Covington, LA location. Look... great marketing, they seem to really fill the house with by bringing in lots of people. Seems like a Nice place to grab a beer and some games for kids, but if you love pizza like me and are expecting a mind blowing experience...you will walk away highly disappointed. But let's be honest here: besides the size of the pizza there is nothing here that made my taste buds happy. Bland AF. Really...I have tasted 12 hour old gas station pizza sitting under a heat lamp that had more toppings and more flavor. Little to no toppings, flavorless crust (not really a crust, more like thin chewy Olive Garden breadsticks without the seasoning) and the wings? You expect some crispy crunch with your wings right? You won't find that here. Here they only serve a giant scoop of hot thick marinara to toss the wings in that results in sloppy soggy soft wings. Like mush really. Maybe people like mushy wings that comes with runny yellow tinted blue cheese. I don't. The 5 stars is for the waitstaff who were great and the atmosphere. I always give honest and fair reviews. The staff was great. They were friendly and helpful. The price for 2 with a small appetizer was 44.50. The calzone had a ton of mozzarella cheese but overall very dry. I will try it again but will choose the large piece of pizza for 9.99. read more

I am going to start out by saying I am giving 3 stars for average. The pizza, well that's just what it is, average. Let's start with: Build Out - This is where the quality stands out. Clean modern nice. No problem here, good signage, fairly simple to navigate. They did not cut corners on cost for the build out.* Staff- (take out) Friendly and courteous. Food- So the first thing you're going to notice is the size of the pizza/slices. They are huge, and that's what the selling point is. But then comes the actual taste. Breaking down the cost of a pizza is simple, water/yeast/flour, sauce, cheese and toppings. Typically let's say a 16-18 inch one topping pizza cost to make 3.00-3.50. So you can double that for a 30 inch. (This is very simplistic in menu costing but you get the point). So they sell at the high end a slice for 8.99, 8 slices per 30 inch and that's bank. 72.00 more dollars in the bank. And that's great for them, that's was they are in business for, a profit. But here's where the problem comes in. The cost for the product doesn't equal the quality of the product. Nothing sets it apart from the many competitors out there. The dough is plain, no crunch or salt. The sauce bland lacking any rich tomato flavor and hint of herbs and or spices. And the toppings might as well have come from the same Sysco truck that just delivered to chuckle cheese. In this day and age people are extremely cost conscious and as a restaurant you've got to be able to deliver both value and quality. And that is where fat-boy falls short. * Like I said above the money went to the build out so the prices obviously cover the fixed cost of the operation, not the quality of ingredients. But after the honeymoon phase ends, the fat boy may enter and unplanned restricted income diet. read more
