Hadn't been to Coscinos in a while, and popped in last night to see school of rock perform. The food and service was so good! They added a few things to the menu and the pizza was on point! BUT three items REALLY stood out! 1. The crab arancini appetizer- really perfect didn't even need the sauce that comes with- just perfect 2. The mussels! Mussels are hard and these were drowning in the most delicious garlic broth - really really good to dip the pizza crust in 3. The cannolis! They were crispy and these ricotta filling was so smooth and light! We really enjoyed our dinner and the service! Plus the drinks and atmosphere was so much fun! We can't wait to go back! read more

Used to be one of my favorite spots in Mandeville. Service was good. Some nice Italian Restaurant music in the background which was nice. Hardly any toppings on the pizza. Some old couple in the front row controls the entire volume/sound/vibe of the open mic night. Either the owner or the sound guys were kissing their butt the entire time. To the old ppl- I don't recommend sitting in the front at open mic night if you're going to complain it's too loud. To any bands considering playing here-don't, because they sabotage these poor bands all the time. To anyone who wants to go listen, also don't recommend because it's nails on a chalkboard without the mix being true to the bands sound. read more

Cute little place hidden in a strip mall. I love that when you first walk in there's a little gaming area for the kids reminds me of restaurants when I was a kid myself. Brought back some good memories. It has a nice little home town vibe everyone knows each other and new friends are easy to make. Food was delicious. We of course got the sampler so we could try a little of everything. Pizza and salad was good too. Not that I got a picture of my Caesar salad. Not sure what has happened here. This has long been the best pizza place in Mandeville. Got two different pizzas the other night...both had no flavor. The meatballs and spaghetti were downright gross and the salads were warm and unimpressive. Sorry to see them go downhill. read more

I brought my family to this establishment to celebrate our daughter's performance after a school play. When we arrived, the host sat us down on a table close to the musical guitar duo that was so loud that my daughter had to cover her ears. We politely asked if we could move tables to put some distance from us and the performers, and the host was reluctant to move us (even though there were tables away from the band in the back that were open). He acquiesced and sat us in a booth in the back, which was more pleasant. We then ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza. The photo attached is what the waitress brought out, a completely burned pizza. She drops the burnt pizza off and scurries off... Our waitress then returns after a while, seeing that we haven't touched it and says, "I knew y'all weren't going to eat that." She then directly quoted the cooks in the kitchen who told us that they said this to her, "just put it out there and see if they'll eat it." No manager came to address this, nor to apologize or try to make things right for us. They put out a burnt pizza, thinking it's perfectly fine to serve it to their guests... who they clearly have no respect for. If they respected their guests and their reputation, they would not do business in such an unscrupulous manner. This is a disreputable business. read more

This is my go to place for pizza. I have been going to this place for years. The food is always consistent. The staff is friendly. The bartender, Dani, is awesome. She always has a cold beer as soon as I have a seat the bar. What can I say. If you want the best pizza on the north shore, look no further. You found it. Also, try the Italian salad. Food is always great, but service seems to have seriously dropped over the past few visits. Both recent visits have been mid afternoon where there were less than 4 total tables with customers (no table had more than 3 people). Also, both visits there were 2 members on the wait staff. I like the atmosphere at Coscino's and the food is just wonderful. Let me caveat that by saying I'm getting old and don't enjoy loud music as much as I have in the past, so I avoid those types of events here, but every other visit has been terrific. The wife and her employees ate here on Thursday and she brought me home an order of the lasagna. I don't know if you're aware, but Mr. Tom Fitzmorris ate here once, ordering the lasagna, and gave it a pretty poor review. Apparently, Coscino's doesn't advertise on the show. Anyway, when you come in for a visit, there is a table set up and reserved for Mr. Fitzmorris with a standing invitation to try the lasagna again and review it fairly. Been that way for years and still hasn't happened to the best of my knowledge, but what would you expect from a man who uses the phrase "poor-boy?" So, I didn't get to eat the lasagna for dinner, instead brought it to work for lunch. It's a huge piece in a single serving, so I figured I'd heat it up, eat half, then have the rest as an early dinner. WRONG. It's just too damned good to save! I hadn't had it in a while and must have forgotten, ate every bite and scraped the container, now I can't wait to get back in town on Sunday so I can get some more. How's that for a recommendation? My wife, and I wanted to go to a place we haven't been to in a while. We get in and get seated in a booth. Our server comes gives us the menus and ask what we like to drink. We all ordered sweet tea and our server left. The server comes back and said that they have to make the tea and it will be a few minutes before they can bring it out. We changed our minds and said we will order a fountain drink instead. Server comes back hands us our drinks and asked if we are ready to order. We ordered mozzarella sticks for the appetizer, my wife ordered a pizza with a salad, my son ordered meatballs and spaghetti, and I ordered a Jazzy burger. The server then told me that they haven't had hamburger meat since hurricane Ida. So then I ordered the Chicken Parm Sandwich. During our visit another guest was renting out a big room and a server comes out yelling that there's way more than 30 people in there. They(the other guests)were complaining about the service and with a limited staff trying their best to accommodate their needs. I understand the frustration cause my wife and I both work in retail for over 50 years combined. I come back to the table after using the restroom and my wife and son has their food already but mine was not there. 30 minutes goes by and the server stated that someone left the chicken in the oven and it was burnt and they are making a new one. By this time, both of my family members are finished eating and I told my wife to tell the server to make it to go. Later I opened the bag and the chicken was burnt. So, why did I review it so low?? It wasn't the 3.7% service charge on all debit and credit cards. It wasn't that we ordered mozzarella sticks that never made it to the table. It wasn't because I watched my family eat while I was sipping on my drink. And it wasn't because of the service being short staffed. It was mainly because if you present a menu and have limited selections due to Covid or supply chain it should be stated with a limited menu. For a place in a small strip mall they actually manage to pull off a fun atmosphere with a bit of nostalgic Italian American stereotypical restaurant feel. They have a nice selection of salads, appetizers, pasta, pizza, calzones, sandwiches and burgers. The lasagna here is good and decently sized. The pasta and sandwich portions are all quite generous. The service was adequate and they managed to keep my drink refilled. This seems to be a pretty popular spot in the area and seems like a lot of families with young kids frequent it for lunch and then they seem to offer more adult activities later at night. They also feature a daily happy hour from 3-6pm. Overall its a nice casual spot for Italian food if you're in Mandeville and they have some good lunch specials. read more
