Although a Mandeville staple for drinks and Italian food for many years, my wife and I visited Fazzio's Restaurant for the first time tonight. We found that Fazzio's has an old school casual elegance, is home to many traditional Italian favorites, has an excellent wine and cocktail selection, and features a warm ambiance and welcoming service. Tonight, Amanda took very good care of us. We enjoyed mixed green and Caesar salads followed by chicken piccata and chicken Marsala entrees. Both entrees were savory and delicious and portion sizes were generous. I think the Marsala was especially good and it overflowed with the mushrooms I love so much. We didn't save room for dessert this time, but the tiramisu is said to be quite good. We look forward to returning. read more

Fazzio's has the best blackened red fish with a creamy corn maque choux and crawfish meunière sauce on top. We also got the fried trout royale with crab meat cream sauce and crispy calamari. The restaurant has a nice ambiance.Casual and dressy attire is welcome. read more

Not gonna be one of my favorite places to eat, but the blue cheese salad was very good. The crab and bay soup was excellent. The fettuccine was poor and the lasagna was pretty good. However, the service was very slow. read more

A local Louisiana Italian traditional eatery that takes you back to little Italy with every bite. From the shrimp appetizer to the Veal Parmigiana to the great service and behind face mask smile. The atmosphere and kind subtle distant laughters and conversations filled the void of discomfort with relaxation and ease from a place I was recommended for a late lunch by a dear friend. After a day of droning and filming at the Fountainbleu State Park, this was a great way to end the day. Well, I am heading back to capture the sunset if the clouds open up just a little. Visited Fazzios this week. The food that I ate was pretty good, but I would've loved to have had the pasta with the rest of my food. I was very disappointed to learn that in this day and time, with so many people who can't tolerate gluten, there's not a gluten free pasta option. It's not worth the gut pain and skin issues for the next few days. There are many really good gluten free pastas available and really, you could offer only one type and we would be very appreciative. The best Italian food on the Northshore! The food and drinks are excellent. We've been quite a few times and my go to is the veal Parmesan. It's so good! The red gravy is the best. My absolute favorite thing at Fazzio's is the tiramisu for dessert. It's so good I can't even explain how good it is but it's a must try! We love this place and we will definitely be back. read more

Giving a great shoutout to a mom and pop Italian & seafood restaurant. You are greeted with what I could tell was a smile ( not sure because of the mask) and seated right away. The server was pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu. We were well taken care of during the whole aspect of our meal. We ate at Fazzio's Restaurant last night for the 1st time in a few years and the food was good. A couple of us are gluten intolerant and asked for a gluten- free pasta which we were told they don't serve gluten-free pasta. Since pasta is the main dish in Italian restaurants, I feel they should accommodate this simple adjustment. It's not worth the illnesses, so I wouldn't patronize restaurants who don't serve simple options for their guests . read more

Everything was clearly microwaved, had fried catfish and the breading was sloughing off like only happens when you nuke it. Others had the eggplant pasta and it was watery, floppy, and chewy (again, qualities that come from microwaving instead of using a stove). For the price of the dishes, the quality is pretty ridiculous. Service was a mixed bag. The server seemed polite but continued to misgender someone in our party. She was "sir"'d constantly even though they were only wearing women's clothing (a pleated skirt at that) had a name tag with clearly showing she wasn't male. The dinning room showed its age feeling like a grandmother's house in the 80s more than a restaurant in 2024. we ordered two take out veal parmigiana this past week. The veal was very tender, but the sauce had little taste. We asked for Angel hair pasta on both entrees. When we returned home the pasta was linguine. I guess some people would not care, but when we ordered over they said YES to the angel pasta. I guess if the sauce had more tastes we would not have complained. We were disappointed overall and will probably not order from this Italian restaurant in the future read more

My mom loves eggplant Parmesan, she said this was really good! I had the crabmeat cream on angel hair pasta. It was very good. The bread served (warm) was very good. The butter served with it was a little to cold to spread, but it was still good. The atmosphere was pleased and the waitress was very helpful, explaining everything to us since it was our first time there. read more

This used to be our all-time fave place to eat but lately the food is sub par. The fried shrimp were fried so much they were dry and looked ridiculous on the plate...no garnish except for hush puppies which were also hard fried. The potato salad looks like it comes from Sams and the $2 up charge for green beans is absurd. Our waitress had absolutely no personality not sure what happened to all the regulars they were all so engaging. Ambiance? Same for as long as I can remember since not much to look at...acoustic ceilings and dark wood not the most inviting atmosphere. The red gravy is like salsa and the meatballs are like baseballs just disgusting. They need a complete overhaul over there including a new chef and some new ideas. read more

Great place. Service was very attentive and asked several times if I wanted more water. The French Kiss drink of prosecco and chambord was really good. The Italian margarita was good also. For entrees - Angel hair with tomato sauce and meatballs and Blackened trout - both very good, but a little too much seasoning for my taste. Dessert was a nice cannoli. Fazzio's is a New Orleans style Italian restaurant located in Mandeville. The menu is classic. Red sauces, steaks and seafood fill its pages. This place has been around for years, but I have never been until recently. We started with Da Fazz shrimp. It was fried shrimp tossed in a spicy and sweet sauce. The server told us it was called bang-bang shrimp, but Bonefish Grill protested hence the name change. For an entree I had the chicken parmesan. It consisted of three large pieces of chicken topped by melted cheese and sauce. There was also a side plate of pasta with more sauce. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the sauce was very good. The dish is also enough food for two people so order accordingly. Service was friendly and attentive. Either the manager or owner was circulating to ensure everyone was enjoying their food. Note: The draft beer was very reasonable priced ($2, I think). If you want classic new Orleans Italian in Mandeville, Fazzio's is a good place to try. read more
