Foreign beer, cheese, wine, and high quality dairy options, artisan bread, and fine meats make it well worth it to support a business that goes out of their way to get these products on shelves.

Now as this was our first time here and we was so taken back by the throw back feel of the place! It gave me small town vibes! I instantly missed home walking into this grocery store! EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN AND NEAT! nothing was picked over and smelled so fresh! Until u got to the meat section then the seafood section was over whelming! But there is a spirits section and a local pop section and then local bakery! We seen the deli section and tried EVERYTHING! we took home so potato salad and the broccoli salad stuff can't remember what it was but it's good! lol They had a lot of prepared foods to but a bit over priced but available! Cute store! Only 5 lanes and 2 lanes open! They did take apple and Samsung pay! The cashiers don't really talk and the workers in the back were really nice and answered all of outlet questions! And loved their wine section! Also u can get balsamic vinegar fresh! Love that!

But this market is so much more than a bakery. It offers an impressive selection of specialty items, including a wonderful wine section and many other unique products worth exploring. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and feels just like home. Whether you're looking for desserts, gourmet items, or simply a pleasant place to browse, this market is definitely worth a visit.

I love the coconut cloud iced and I just tried the orange blossom latte. Both were memorable and worth a return trip. I keep trying something different with my drink (food wise) and most things have been misses. The breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich=miss for me and quite pricey for grab and go. I will say the broccoli cheddar soup in the deli/middle was off the charts good at one of my visits in the fall. I have eaten in the cafe once and service was good (most of my experiences have been in the coffee shop area). The French onion soup was fantastic. The spinach artichoke pastry was good. Overall, the coffee is worth a return trip. Definitely a fan for the coffee. Not a fan overall for the food and service.

The first thing you need to know is that the Columbus Fish Market is NOT a fish market. It is an upper middle class seafood restaurant. It has all the trappings of a country club restaurant which is to say, comfort reigns here at a slightly elevated price. I can't really complain, our server was sweet and attentive. The manager checked on us. The food was tasty, the drinks were very good. I don't know it was just... nothing special. Let's put it this way, a few weeks ago I was in Ocean City, MD and we stopped at a crab shack where they put paper on the table and we ate like Neanderthals who just discovered that crabs were edible. We made the kind of mess that only long married couples with kids can make. Crab shells and shrimp tails were flying. That meal lives rent free in my brain. Damn it was good, but I digress. See there are places you take family, and places you take a first date. The crab shack is for family, The Columbus Fish Market (still not a fish market) is where you take a first date assuming she is not allergic to seafood. The ambiance just lacks character and charm in an inoffensive way. As Shakespeare once wrote, "nothing is either good nor bad, but thinking makes it so" and I am not sure even thinking can move the needle on this place. Did I mention it is not a fish market? Ok, ok, the food. Yes, I got the Cajun swordfish and a little gem side salad. That followed the spicy crispy shrimp appetizer. All were very good. I recommend the shrimp if you end up here. The Cajun swordfish was well seasoned and only ever-so-slightly overdone. It was good, to be sure but a minute too far. The sear was great though, crisp and flavorful. The little gem salad was a great compliment to the main. I love a good salad. I also tried my daughter's Caesar salad and my wife's tomato, bacon, Bibb wedge salad. Skip the Caesar and get one of the others, especially if you like a good Caesar. Overall the food was very good and I should probably give this place four stars. I dont know, I'm feeling salty. Drinks, drinks, drinks. My daughter recommends the berry lemon drop. I got a Sam Adams which was one of four or five bees on tap. Four or five. The wine list was extensive so do with that what you will. Pretty good for (not a) fish market. Finally, finally, finally. What the hell is the name of this place? Mitchell's Seafood something-or-other comes up in searches but the sign says Columbus Fish Market. "There are no spare customers." -Timon J. Fertitta (owner) Google him.
