The resturant is clean and I'm a sucker for subway tile. First time in Ohio, so I was already taking a chance here. As for service, our waiter Aiden was amazing. But I have to be honest, I wouldn't come back here. It felt like it is a red lobster trying to be upscale. To play devil's advocate a bit, they do in fact have fresh fish in ice on display. I ordered the walleye and it wasn't seasoned, breaded poorly, the green beans didn't give their vibrant green as fresh ones normally do. The mashed potatoes were solid and the "blue crab slaw" was a dollop of sodium. Holding out for better results in other Ohio restaurants. Save yourself by not making the same mistake that I did.

Stopped in for their power lunch. Great deal $20 for 2 items! I got the shrimp pasta and it's now one of my favorite pasta dishes in the city! The salad was OK. The lettuce was a too wilted for me. I stayed for the happy hour. Great deals on food and drinks!

Food was fresh, tasty, and executed with care. Drinks actually had some major effort put into them as these weren't your average Happy Hour drinks with a whole bunch of syrup with little to no alcohol in them. Fries were crisp, ravioli was packed with lobster, wings were crispy and well sauced and the fish sandwich for $10 was MASSIVE! We'll definitely be back!

We arrived on a Monday night so things were quiet as far as the ambience goes. Our server Ross was very cordial and attentive. We ordered the crab cake appetizer and it was delicious. I ordered the Shanghai seafood sampler and my husband ordered the Shanghai sea bass. Both entrees were very tasty. For dessert we ordered the chocolate butter cake with raspberries and raspberry sauce topped with ice cream. It was yummy as well. Also it was our anniversary so they provided us with a menu signed by everyone which was cute but I had kind of thought that we would get a free dessert or something but still a nice gesture.

Having never visited the Columbus Fish Market before, it was a nice change of pace for me and my friends I also wanted to get some delicious drinks and chat it up. The atmosphere was nice and we decided to hang out at the bar where the bartender was extremely busy. They seemed short-staffed as the GM hopped in to help with the orders. Both had great attitudes about it and we were fine waiting a bit while they helped other folks. I got a couple of the Moscato White Sangrias and a shareable of their Crispy Calamari which had chili soy dipping sauce, green beans, and red bell peppers. We destroyed the dish and they covered it as we had to wait. That was so kind! We will be back again for dinner one day! Great parking at this location too!

Crab cake and shrimp with corn and mashed potatoes. It was part of my fixed price 3 course meal

I have always been a fan of the Fish Market. It is rare to find such delicious fare in a state so far from shore. We visited again and had the wonderful luck of having Tori serve us. She was helpful in making our selections and was very kind. Our meals were beautifully prepared and delicious as always. My fixed priced selection included the house salad, the entree, and crème brûlée. It was a great deal.

Went during Restaurant week. I chose the ginger crusted salmon, upgraded to a wedge salad and had the dark chocolate butter cake. Service was great, very attentive server. Large spacious interior, but quickly filled with people. Glad we had reservations! The wedge salad was good, nice crisp bacon, plenty of blue cheese. The Ginger Salmon is where It lost it for me. There was no flavor, honestly tasted like it had been steamed. The sticky rice was great and the steamed veggies were fantastic as well. Dark chocolate butter cake had a wonderful raspberry drizzle atop that really provided a nice contrast to the rich cake.

Calamari with a teriyaki type sauce

Christmas pre fixe dinner was excellent. Beth was a gracious and efficient hostess, taking very good care of us as we enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner. Not a fan of the two-seater tables against the wall but I do understand effective use of space in the dining area on a busy evening. We love their fish and chips and tartar sauce on a regular day but this evening we indulged in their special dinner. We started with calamari due to not recalling if we ever had it. I'm a stickler for good calamari and this was good, and now in the top 3 of my favorite. Light and crispy, the tentacles were not difficult to ingest. Then I ordered the house salad and my beau ordered the butternut squash soup. Loved the dates in my salad and the poppy seed dressing was just sweet and tangy enough for my palate. His butternut squash soup was silky and very tasteful of butternut and the temperature stayed warm throughout eating it. For our entrees I ordered the crab cake and shrimp with corn and mashed potatoes. Prepared Maryland styled, the crab cake was very tasty. You can always tell when shrimp is fresh and cooked perfect when you can pull the tails off without issue. A little more effort than usually needed was a must to do this, and the shrimp was slightly overcooked for me. The potatoes were okay and the corn was good. His Shanghai Seafood Sampler was delicious. I know he loved the green onions on it. The teriyaki styled sauce over steamed rice made this super indulgent. My mouth is watering now while I type this. Very tasty! Our dessert choices were a type of cheesecake (which we don't ever go for), a creme brulee with berries (an overrated item in our opinion) and the key lime pie, which we delightfully enjoyed. Perfectly tart and sweet with copious crust to enjoy. The vanilla lime drizzle and whipped cream on top balanced the dessert adequately. For $54 a person (our calamari was extra), this was worth the drive up and every bite in my opinion. We love seafood and Columbus Fish Market!

Great burger, great seasoning. Yummy fries. I will say, the pickles weren't the best and the bottom of the bun got soggy quickly, also, the bartender when we first came into the restaurant was rude. (That's the reason for the 4 stars, our waitress was great)

Their visual chart is a…read moregodsend for cocktail explorers, and all of the drinks came out delicious and exactly as described. It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

Way too much but the wings were edible... and that's where edibility ends! The tofu with peanut sauce sounded good to me, but I swear they took a whole block of tofu and cooked it as one piece. After all, they're also a distillery with their own craft whiskey. Nope... Epic Fail on the blandest old fashioned in Ohio (I'm guessing). If they're trying to showcase their whiskey... maybe they shouldn't. Just really not a fan. Other Old Fashioned fans in the dining party weren't impressed either. The margarita wasn't much better either. What about a refreshing peach dessert? I'll give you 3 guesses and they all start with B! You guessed it, so flavorless and the pound cake was dry! It was even dry if you were calling it a biscuit. If you're going to serve this, then maybe a peachy sauce to cut through the dryness. Oh, the description promises that, but it did not deliver on those bourbon macerated peaches by any means. Even Bowser would send this peach back! Was able to split the Caesar salad, in which the dressing was more mellow and less acidic than typical Caesar dressing, but was accompanied with a charred lemon wedge to add however much acid your heart desires! Then came the burger, with the fries being extremely crispy and perfectly seasoned. The burger was very good as well, but I could do without the mushrooms added. It is a wet burger as well due to the mornay instead of a typical slice of cheese that just sticks to the burger. Most importantly, the cocktails are FANTASTIC as always.
