The fish tasted fresh and the bowl had all the flavors I love. I also had to try the spam musubi. Theirs is warm and amazing. The signature bowls are on the pricy side for the size (Pokebap $18). But the flavors and freshness were all there! I love that the owner of Pokebap is Korean and was inspired by a trip to Hawaii. Inside Budd Dairy in an isolated area. A fantastic example of poké. Fresh sushi-grade fish, very fresh vegetable add-ones, and homemade sauces. Served in a super clean environment. Tried this inside Budd Dairy. It was very good. The workers were friendly and it was very easy to order online. They cater to all kinds of food requests such as gluten free. The workers were very nice and conscientious about what they were making. It was about $12 for my bowl with crab. They had lots of homemade sauces to choose from. Okay I had a great time. The food the setting found a little nook to just have date night. Great time. Spoke with the chef. Got recommendations. The one thing I like about it, you don't have 5 billion options to choose from where you are overwhelmed trying to order. You don't get paralysis by analysis. When you come in You can just ask him. He'll tell you and go from there. Really can't go wrong. This is what you want to eat. If you're a veggie person, this is a great place. If you're not a veggie person, still a great place. A couple nights ago I went to Budd Dairy with my roommates for dinner and drinks. It was a great experience. Budd Dairy has a parking lot in front of it, but at certain times it may get full. We went during happy hour on a Friday from 4-6. All of their signature cocktails were $6. Pokebap is located to the left right when you walk into Budd Dairy. You can order there or sit down and order online. I got the sushi burrito and it was good. I do wish the burritos were more filling. I was still a little hungry after eating it. Additionally, the Ponzu and Pokebap sauces could have used more flavor. I had to add soy sauce to my burrito. Overall the meal was good and if you like sushi, you should try Pokebap. read more

Nestled conveniently just behind the restrooms of the BDFH Is Pokebap. It's location is perhaps an homage to its existence as something not quite a restaurant, not quite a food truck, nor a fusion cafe, but something in between. From the sullen, joyless employees, to the meager, ineffectual portions, this place left me feeling hungry, sad, and ripped off. I wanted to love this place. I wanted to be able to say "I know a great poke place in my neighborhood!" I had read about the chef, who had travelled to Hawaii and was influenced by the Hawaiian poke tradition and wanted to bring it to Columbus. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. This is not Hawaiian poke, it is barely Japanese style poke. For $16 I was given a tiny portion of fish - albeit yummy fish - and only scant, basic toppings although I asked for "everything". When I inquired to the worker if the 3oz of fish he put in the bowl was all I get, he shrugged and muttered, "we just use these scoops". I should have said, "Well why don't you use these scoops and scoop me some more fish." But instead I just stared at him, exasperated. I get that inflation is real, I do. But I've had some of the best poke on the planet, both in Hawaii and on the mainland, in cities much more expensive and frankly authentic than Columbus. And for $16 in LA I can get poke with more fish, more toppings, more variety, and more if imagination that this place. That's what really upset me. Luckily, my friends had leftover soul food they let me eat so I didn't go home hungry. This place was a total rip off and seemed like an inauthentic, insidious cash grab. 3 stars for the quality of the fish and ingredients, which was high. read more

Great poke. They are a little more on the expensive side which I was surprised. I love poke and try it all around the US and this was probably the most expensive for the level it's at. I would recommend seared tuna/ahi as a choice and a re-vamped seaweed salad. I think they have a lot of potential. It's just needs a little more focus. read more

Three gentlemen working the small space were all friendly and helpful when I walked into the space. I originally had to scan their menu for a few minutes - at first glance, it looked overwhelming, but after a few, I began to appreciate the chalk drawings, as it helped to visualize what I wanted in my BYO bowl. I made a salmon bowl, added tofu as an extra protein, and of course tons of the veggie fixings. I picked their ponzu sauce, which is house-made I think the guy said, and it worked well with the components, being lite and flavorful without having to drench the components with it. The salmon was fresh and great quality and went well with the tofu. I also got a side of their Shibazuke (pickled veggies) which was incredibly tasty - light, great sweet and sourish rice vinegar (?) flavor. I could easily eat this every meal of the day! I had to wait double the time I was told when I ordered. And the bowl has hot rice in it which ruins the whole experience.

It has been very good in the past, but this past time I ordered, I was missing 3 ingredients that I ordered for my bowl, ordered and paid for an extra sauce, and both bowls did not have the sauce we ordered. I know it is possible to have an off day, so I reached out about what happened, then never heard back.. Because of this, I really would not return, it is kind of a bummer to be missing half of the things you normally get and like on your bowl. read more

I love love LOVE sushi burritos!! We were traveling through Columbus yesterday and found this place. Super cool atmosphere, in an old renovated Dairy. Loved the vibe! Tons of people on a Saturday night. This little gem was tucked in the corner of this building of several eateries. So delicious! We all got the vegetarian option called Garden. My husband and I got the sushi burrito but our friends got the Poke bowl. So delicious!! All the ingredients were fresh and so well combined. Had so many elements and a nice crunch to it. The spicy aeoli and the ponzu sauces were amazing!! My 7 year old loved it too! Highly unusual btw. We also enjoyed the miso soup and the vegetable dumplings! So good!
