Since it was just after opening time and the grill wasn't lit, Jennifer got some tri-tip from the fridge, and sliced it for my tacos.
Eric R.

Fat Dawg Cafe is located on the sidewalk, in front of one of the Fairway Drive Home Depot, Roseville, CA location, so when you're shopping for all of your home needs, it's easy to grab one of Jennifer's delicious hot dogs... or maybe even a tri tip sandwich a burrito, or a couple of "street tacos." You'll be rewarded with an amazing meal, and a friendly word and a smile from Jennifer, the friendly chef, and owner of this fine restaurant. The restaurant is conveniently located in front of the store, between the entrance and the exit, so you can combine your shopping and your eating in a single trip. It's open from 09:00 in the morning until 05:00 in the afternoon, every day of the week, and every day Home Depot is open. I was in the mood for a light snack of "Street Tacos," and they just happen to be on the menu! Today's "mission" was tacos, and my quest was rewarded with two amazing "Street Tacos," from the "Dawg Gone Good Food" section of the menu, posted on the front of the kitchen. Just like on the streets of Mexico, from where "Street Tacos" derive their name, chef Jennifer grilled small corn tortillas - two per taco - on the propane-fired griddle. As the tortillas were cooking on the griddle, she diced the tri-tip roast, that had been cooked outside the day before, on the charcoal-fired grill. After a couple of minutes heating on the griddle, she sprinkled grated Cheddar cheese onto the tortillas, added the meat, along with fresh, diced cilantro. It was now TACO TIME!!! The corn tortillas were grilled to perfections, stayed together, and added a welcome base to each taco. The "main event" of each taco was the decried, drilled trip tip, and the meat made for the perfect taco filling. Shredded Cheddar cheese, diced cilantro, along with fresh salsa was placed on each taco to complete the goodness. With each bite, I was rewarded with juicy goodness. The "Street Tacos" were small, but they were loaded with goodness, and made for a perfect snack, or for a light lunch. At $4.00 for two of these delicious little tacos... you can't go wrong! I could eat these delicious tacos every day... One bite into my taco, and I was rewarded with the goodness of the perfectly cooked tri-tip, which worked great with the cilantro, shredded Cheddar cheese, and the deliciously toasted corn tortillas. Just like in Mexico, Jennifer's "Street Tacos" provide for great small bites, and for a delicious snack, or a light lunch. Delicious! You'll LOVE Jennifer's delicious hot dogs, street "Street Tacos, sandwiches, burritos... everything on the menu is simply delicious AND you'll be rewarded with Jennifer's amazingly friendly service and awesome culinary skills. You'll love the great meal you enjoy at Fat Dawg Cafe, located in Roseville, CA. No matter what your pleasure, you'll enjoy great dogs and friendly service!

My boys (and hubby) love this place. Hands down best place for a quick bite to eat. They love the hot dogs and smoothies. I'm not a meat eater but the blended coffee is great and made with real espresso. The women that works here is super sweet and and always in a great mood.

John and his team have your hot dogs covered for your dining pleasure in western Placer County. It's mid afternoon, Saturday, June 07, 2025, and I'm enjoying the Rocklin Brewfest 2025 and I'm in the mood for a delicious hot dog. I've come to the right place, as Doggiestyle Hot Dogs was on site, and serving hot dogs for all to enjoy. This is a pop-up restaurant that servers hot dogs at events all over western Placer County. I went with a "Quarter Pound Nathan Dog," How can you beat that for a great hot dog? The dog began with a quarter pound Nathan's Hot Dog, which was grilled to perfection by hot dog chef John, on site, at the Rocklin Brewfest. The dog was simply perfect, and fitted perfectly with the large, fresh bun, which was a start for an amazing lunch. On to the condiments! The trip to the nearby condiment bar was worthwhile, as I added a cornucopia of condiments, including mustard, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, chopped white onion, sauerkraut and especially peperoncini, which is a rare treat for hot dogs. I suppose you could call my hot dog loaded? No ketchup whatsoever, as I never desecrate a hot dog by adding ketchup. Not to mention... may I say my dog was loaded with delicious condiments? One bite into the dog I was rewarded with a refreshing "snap," thanks to the natural casing on Nathan's Hot Dog, which made the hot dog both worthwhile and simply delicious. The condiments I added simply enhanced the dog, and didn't take anything away from the amazing hot dog, and the fresh bun. Such a delicious hot dog! Chef John knows how to grill a hot dog, and the Nathan's Hot Dog he grills are as good as it gets. I tip my cowboy hat to chef John, and his delicious hot dogs! Five star dining for all of you who love a delicious hot dog.

We walked up to the counter where we were met with a huge tablet screen and an employee standing behind it. I asked her if she wanted us to place the order with her or on the screen. She pointed to the kiosk. I guess they want to train customers to place orders digitally. I ordered a matcha drink and husband ordered some chocolate swirl drink. My matcha drink was amazing; it even has a scoop of ice cream! Husband's was not that great. We joked that it tasted like chocolate milk for $8. Fun place to stop by since work was paying for it. Otherwise it was a little pricey and we're trying not to do as much sugar. But definitely a cute place to check out!

Clean (minus the clutter on the bar top) . Some local beers and ciders on tap. Outside seating area was spacious. Fries had a great seasoning. Chicken strips were big. Cons: did not feel very welcoming. The main server seemed like she was not wanting to be at work, and continued to make snarky remarks back and forth with the cook that we were able to hear. The inside needs a refresh with the decor imo. I feel like it could be amazing if they followed through with either the prison or dam theme more. Smoky inside and needs more ventilation. **adding that after reading reviews, I don't love how the owner addresses concerns toward visitors.

During the off season, he caters to special events, school events, private parties, sports events, and almost any event where fine hot dogs are appreciated. Aaron, the proprietor, along with Kaylee, his assistant, set up shop, and serve delicious hot dogs for the enjoyment of hot dog lovers in the greater Roseville, CA area. The Dog Spot sets up their portable restaurant at Kaesburg Park, located at 1151 Rand Way, in Roseville, CA. The Dog Spot sets up shop at this location every Saturday during soccer season, as Kaesburg Park is one of the more popular locations in the area for weekend soccer practice and patches. The Dog Spot dishes out amazing dogs from 09:00 in the morning until 16:00 in the afternoon. When they're not set up at the park, you'll find them catering to private parties, social events, sports, competitions along with special events, all over the Roseville area. The menu features three varieties of dogs, snacks, candy, drinks and condiments. The sides selections can vary, depending upon availability. Ordering is simple, as you tell the staff which one of the three dogs you want, what condiments or toppings you want added to your dog, then you pay for your order and in a minute or so, you'll be presented with a fine hot dog. You can also order the "Meal Deal," which includes a drink and a bag of chips, and for those with a sweet tooth, candy is available to enhance your meal. My first dog of the day was the "Jumbo Dog," which headlines the menu. As for the condiments and toppings, I went with everything, except for ketchup. The dog was placed on a large, soft bun, with sesame seeds, and placed in a little paper bowl, just the right size to hold the bun and the dog. The chef applied - in this order - mustard, mayonnaise, diced dill pickle, relish, pickled diced jalapeno chili pepper, diced white onion, sauerkraut, and a sprinkle of celery salt, to give my "Jumbo Dog" a bit of a Chicago flair. My dog was fully dressed! When I bit into my "Jumbo Dog," I was rewarded with a crisp SNAP, thanks to the natural casing of the dog, along with a rush of juicy goodness. The topping-to- dog ratio was perfect, along with the meat-to-bun ratio, which made for an amazing dog, and the start to an outstanding lunch. I went for a "Spicy Sausage" for my second dog of the day. Like the "Jumbo Dog," the "Spicy Sausage" starts with a large, quarter-pound sausage with natural casing, so when you bit into it, you're rewarded with a SNAP. It's advertised as "spicy," and it does have a bit of a 'kick" to it, but it wasn't excessively spicy. The heat ratio reminded me of a jalapeno pepper, after the seeds and stems have been removed. You get a little "kick" but lots of amazing sausage flavor! The Dog Spot will satisfy your craving for a juicy hot dog during soccer season at Kaesburg Park, and when they aren't set up at the park, you'll find them dishing out fine dogs at private parties, school events, sports, competitions, along with special events. Catering services are offered, for your hot dog enjoyment! You can't go wrong with the fine service and amazing hot dogs served by friendly Aaron and his crew at The Dog Spot, at various locations, in and around Roseville, CA. Look to The Dog Spot for fine hot dogs at the next event in town!
