We walked up to the counter where we were met with a huge tablet screen and an employee standing behind it. I asked her if she wanted us to place the order with her or on the screen. She pointed to the kiosk. I guess they want to train customers to place orders digitally. I ordered a matcha drink and husband ordered some chocolate swirl drink. My matcha drink was amazing; it even has a scoop of ice cream! Husband's was not that great. We joked that it tasted like chocolate milk for $8. Fun place to stop by since work was paying for it. What a great place! Stopped by after a day of waterskiing on the lake and the matcha cream is PERFECT! The mochinut- I got the original flavor - was still WARM and is perfectly chewy like a mochi donut should be - and glaze is perfect. Customer service - very attentive and nice. The lady said the sauces were included and we asked them on the side. We were not aware that There was a charge for sauce... They charged us about $13 just in sauces. The interior of the store was very cute inside and there are a few tables in the store. When I went, it was pretty empty and no one was at the counter so I had to wait or ring the bell for someone to come. I got the crispy potato corn dog with beef. It was pretty greasy in my opinion. Very heavy meal. I picked off one of the potato's off just to try and it was very bland and tasteless. The potato was very crispy but to the point you can't taste the potato inside. Think of a French fry that's super fried with no soft fluffy potato inside -- it tasted like that. It was almost like a chip. I took a bite of the corn dog with the beef hot dog inside and the beef definitely carried the flavor of the corn dog but again, very greasy. I ended up giving the rest of this to someone else to eat and they mentioned they felt sick and nauseous for a few hours after eating it. The grease had upset their stomach. If you must try this place, I would recommend a different item than the potato beef corn dog. The mochi donuts were quite expensive. $3.95 but the specialty donuts were an additional $1-$1.50. I have been to quite a few places that sell mochi donuts but this spot is probably the most expensive I've seen them. Don't think I will try this place again. read more

The first time I came in, the environment was so cute and cozy feeling. Mannu, the new owner, was so kind and helpful with describing everything and answering all our questions. She has such a friendly welcoming aura. I ended up getting the cereal corn dog (half cheese and beef), a Dubai donut, and the coffee milk drink. Everything was so delicious!! The cheese pull and crunch from the corn dog was fabulous. The donut was light and fluffy too. Don't even get me started on the coffee milk drink. It was perfect not bitter, but not too sweet either. Oh I really really wanted to enjoy this spot so much, but didn't turn out as good as I had hoped for. The mochi donut selection is very limited and if you're looking for one simple flavor then keep looking. Their fancy mixes are quite colorful and the matcha and regular glaze mochi donuts are great, but the other selections seem to be directed for the younger crowd with TOO much going on regarding flavors and being extremely sweet. Even the matcha donut can do without a kit Kat bar on it and less chocolate sauce. All in all, their donuts are decent but there are much better mochi donut shops in the area to satisfy your cravings. As for boba or drinks - highly advise to go elsewhere. Their drinks seem to be powdered mixes with only water, not even done right. Taro drink was subpar and tasted flat, lacking condensed milk or something of that nature. Thai iced tea was NOT Thai iced tea.. not even remotely close to it! It was horrid and disgusting to the point where I requested an exchange for another drink. I don't promote food exchanges simply because preferences don't line up, but the Thai iced tea served to me was just blatantly awful to be quite blunt and honest. Requested for an exchange for another drink and was first shot down, but after some persistence they allowed it. This is NOT a practice I'm accustomed and don't want to be THAT guy, but this case truly was an exception. Blech.. Customer service needs work to ensure the customer is happy. Don't knock them down when they're outright telling you that food or drink served was awful. It's a very small spot with very limited seating. Just enough space to order off the kiosk, grab your order, and go. Plenty of parking in their shared lot and ambiance is cute with some neat art. I wouldn't consider this a hole in the wall, but it has just enough space to do the job. I love seeing small local businesses flourish, but sorry to say we're not returning here and will drive a few more miles for much better mochi donut selections and drinks. Don't take my word for it! The sitting area is small and not meant for people to spend extended periods there. The food was amazing. So far we have only tried the mochi donuts and the Thai tea but we will most certainly be back tomorrow to try the Korean Corn Dogs. We started with a dozen assorted mochi donuts and a Thai tea with boba. The Thai tea was delicious. It's made with sweetened milk which really enhances the flavor. The brown sugar boba is great too. The donuts were warm, freshly made, and each bite was incredible. We took the box to the wife's brothers house to share with everyone. We ended up chopping up each donut into bite sized pieces so everyone could try some. Even after the 15 minute drive and dividing up all the donuts the dough was still warm, soft, and fresh and the toppings made each bite a wild flavor experience. The ambiance of the inside is very kawaii. It's very pink, very cute, with cute stuff all over the walls. They also had a variety of toys and stuff for sale. Overall it's a solid 5 stars, but be prepared to pay a bit more for this kind of treat. It was 45 bucks for a dozen assorted mochi donuts and a Thai tea with boba and we had to wait around 5-10m but it was absolutely worth the experience. read more

We DoorDash mochinut a lot lately. The only downside of that is you get the random whatever they want to put in the box. You don't get to choose. Also, the DoorDash site says "buy 1 get 1" but there's nothing that is labeled buy 1 get 1. So we wanted to try this a few mos ago, but the fryer was broken (no corndogs) so we left. No school today, so we headed back. The place is super cute. Love the colors and fun decor. The location in Antelope changed to a knock-off Mochinut which is no longer the same so coming up to this location is a bit far. When we ordered hot drinks we were told that the Toasted Pistachio Latte was out. I'm not sure if this means out for good or just out for the night. There was menu posted about a month ago with that flavor so I'm not sure why it would be gone so soon. Secondly, the guy we ordered from was not very friendly. I ordered some mochi donuts (the funnel, churro & white chocolate sprinkle) & Korean corndog (cereal half mozzarella & half sausage). The mochi donuts were delicious! I love the firm outer skin yet the inside was still chewy. My favorite is the churro - just enough amount of sugar & cinnamon. The corndog took a while since they made it fresh - but I didn't mind. I've been to a few different Mochinut locations throughout Southern and Northern CA and this one wins cutest decor, very pretty and pink. No one was here when we arrived but there was a self-order kiosk and lots to look at and think about what to order. Someone did pop out from behind in the kitchen to kindly greet us and offer to answer any questions. It was very different for me to not see rows of mochinuts like I'd seen at other locations - which I personally think I prefer bc that helps tell me whatever flavors there are less of, means those are the most popular and probably best tasting, haha. Instead, there was a tiered display tray with one of each flavor with labels. We ordered 3 mochinuts and two drinks. The mochinuts came out warm, which I actually didn't care for too much and prefer them a little bit more room temp so that the texture isn't so gooey and oily. Cinnamon churro was our favorite, then Reese's (very melty though), and funnel cake was least fave, too much old oil flavor. Ube drink was good but def on the sweet side. Horchata was not horchata enough, was more of a watered down milk tea taste with a hint of horchata taste. We will probably be back, but just to try other mochinut flavors. The corndogs were undercooked and raw. The cheese and hotdog inside were cold but the outside was overdone. TEN MORE MINUTES LATER and she gives me 6 donuts and 4 hot Cheeto cheese sticks. Long story short ALL of the food was disgusting. The hot Cheeto sticks were hot/soggy on the outside and cold on the inside. The donuts were greasy and only some were warmed up while others were packaged cold. Horrible experience.
