OK...so this place has been here awhile...i kinda avoided it because I dont like overpaying for for simple food I can make at home...Sould've stayed away... The food was overpriced for what it was, and the macaroni and cheese was disappointing -- just plain noodles in a thin, watery cheese sauce. They do use Miller's hot dogs, which was a plus, but that's about the only highlight. The rest of the food was just OK, nothing memorable or worth the cost. On the positive side, Pamela, the cashier/server, was very polite, helpful, and courteous. I don't want my poor review of the food to reflect on her performance. She did an excellent job. One more note: even though we told her we were eating there, our hot dogs were wrapped tightly in paper, which caused all the toppings to stick to the wrapper. While I was there I realized that the cookies they sell are also a big draw so I grabbed a s'mores cookie and a snickerdoodle. They were worth the visit by themselves! I don't like Crumbl cookies so I was a little afraid these would be similar, but they're way better IMO. I'm going to have to take advantage of their buy five get two free next time... Saw that this place was half the distance to my favorite hot dog shop, Parker's of Santa Cruz hot dogs. Fat Dogs is pricier than Parker's but I figured it should be better. Good parking, and I was greeted by a very nice lady. Ordered the Cheesedog and an order of tots, they don't have fries. Hot dog itself tasted very good with hints of garlic and looked bigger than Parker's. But, there's always a but, the wiener was cooked on a hot dog roller. I prefer mine steamed. And second demerit was she microwaved the bun. Like the hot dog itself I prefer mine steamed. But the worst was when I unwrapped it and found half of the cheese was stuck to the paper. Other than that the hot dog was pretty good. The portion of tots was generous at $4.99. Was it enough for me to switch from Parker's hot dogs? I don't think so. They make it just the way I like it. Me and my boyfriend stumbled across this gem after finding an ad in front of Tjmaxx. We were unsure what to get at first but they had options for everyone. It was very important to us that they served all beef hot dogs as we can't eat pork, and they were so delicious! We ordered a loaded potato and boy was it LOADED. In addition to that we also got a Seattle dog that had pickles, cream cheese, onions and bbq sauce, and when the owner was preparing everything, a mouthwatering aroma filled the room.
