What a nice hidden gem. I came here shortly after the opening time. The owner (Pam) invited me in as I was looking at the signage on the windows. Pam was very personable. We struck up a conversation about her business and the variety of cookies that were showcased at the front counter. She makes the cookies which are very large and delicious looking. The hot dog and spuds menu seems to appeal to many different appetites. I ordered a polish dog with sauerkraut and mustard. The bun was toasted and the polish dog was grilled. The shipment for the Tots had not arrived so I had fries. The place is bright, clean and inviting. There are a few seats inside and outside if u want to enjoy your food there. Nothing says comfort like a hot dog and tater tots. They use Miller's Craft meat here which I have never eaten before, but as advertised, I may not want another brand of dogs again. It's delicious. I wanted to order the Eddie's bacon dog, but it would take about 10 minutes to make so she suggested to save time, I could just get real bacon bits added on top. She also mentioned it would be technically more bacon so I took her advice and she was right - it was stuffed with tons of crunchy bacon! It was very filling and quite satisfying. She made it exactly like I wanted and gave me the best customer service one on one. My husband and I both got the chili cheese dog (yum), I got the garlic tots (tasty), and my husband got the loaded baked potato (also very good!). While I was there I realized that the cookies they sell are also a big draw so I grabbed a s'mores cookie and a snickerdoodle. They were worth the visit by themselves! I don't like Crumbl cookies so I was a little afraid these would be similar, but they're way better IMO. I'm going to have to take advantage of their buy five get two free next time... As for the service, I'm not sure what the negative feedback from other reviewers was about because the lady who works there (owns the place?) was great. Hot dog itself tasted very good with hints of garlic and looked bigger than Parker's. But, there's always a but, the wiener was cooked on a hot dog roller. I prefer mine steamed. And second demerit was she microwaved the bun. Like the hot dog itself I prefer mine steamed. But the worst was when I unwrapped it and found half of the cheese was stuck to the paper. Other than that the hot dog was pretty good. The portion of tots was generous at $4.99. Was it enough for me to switch from Parker's hot dogs? I don't think so. They make it just the way I like it.
