Fat Pilgrim & Harvest Home shop in Sonoma, CA, on Highway 12. I luv stopping here to check out the inventory. It harkens to an old timey general store but with modern vibes and artisan curated pieces at down to earth prices. Seriously, the majority of prices match to that bullseye retail shop. One side is a general store with kitchen items, greeting cards, soaps, candles, snacks. jewelry, and women's accessories. The other side sells living room items... furniture, throws, pillows, home decor, small art pieces, and reproduction artwork. Oh I can't forget to tell you about the outdoor art sculptures which are displayed in the back yard. The sculptures are whimsical and artsy. They carry sofas and living room pieces. The furniture is of quality and comes with prices matching that quality. I enjoy shopping for the framed reproduction paintings and home decor. Fat Pilgrim is a whimsical little hipster spot. They have tons of garden statuary, one can see the kitchen garden for The Girl&the Fig restaurant (sometimes they sell extra produce), with a Texas longhorn overlooking the shop. As a general store, it is pretty general. They have hand sanitizers (I should've gotten one) Their small olive oil soap bars are reasonably priced. They have a funny United Eats of America jigsaw puzzle (it characterizes Oregon as a land of chanterelle mushrooms&oysters, somehow Shandong beef rolls&avocado toast embody California, with New England boiled dinner representing New England) There's a beautiful coffee table book about the Sonoma Coast. The service is friendly&attentive, the prices reasonable. It's eccentric and fun. The only downside is the unpaved parking lot- I guess that's what wheel alignments are for. Really enjoyed it. Very well curated store with lots of inventory and goodies to look at! Cute kitchen and dining ware, great place for gifts (think hand soap, teas, candles, ceramic trinkets, local chapsticks, necklaces, etc). Half the store is that, then the other half is dedicated to bigger home furnishings like sofas, beds, coffee tables. They also have a large outdoor space out back with some pottery and outdoor decor. Praise the Lard! at least that's what my shirt from here says... This is one of my favorite places to pick up unique items to decorate my house. We have a beautiful pot rack from here, and an amazing side board. For the most part, the furniture is reasonably priced. Their other items are a bit ridiculous in their price tags... yes, I know it's fancy pants hand cream, and lip gloss, but when you can get some of the same things for a buck or two less at other cutsy stores here in Sonoma County -- you kinda feel had. My T-shirt was $22 bucks, and yes it's cute, but one wash and it's too small (and I got the XXL which is more like a Small) A must stop when wanting to decorate your house if 'farm chic' is our thing. read more

Very cute store that we visited after Thanksgiving so Christmas decorations for the home were out . Great sense of style: rustic, eccentric (metal fountain with ravens, windmills), homey... Comfy home furnishings to order, bathroom toiletries, cards, lots of gifts..... fun place to shop! read more

I have driven by this place many a time and have wanted to stop and did not...always an excuse. And once I finally did I realized why myself avoided the shop. Because my checkbook could not afford to stick around. My heart began to swoon as I looked around at the random items mixed in with the hodgepodge and the duplication items. A giant plaster horse head being return, did I have some where at home to put it? No way. Did not stop my heart for yearning for it! Nor the cute piggy head! The little containers of Lip Shit, or the antibacterial gel for those times you cannot keep your nephew from putting his hands in places they do not belong and you happen to be in the middle of the park and there is a line for the bathroom. Then there is the gorgeous furniture! The long buffet/bar table with different stool options or the log swing that was so very comfortable I could have fallen asleep on. A garden growing out back. There are three small buildings with different items in each to peak your interest. So much it is hard to keep track of it all as my mind swirls. The two ladies that were there were so laid back and easy going. They would be just as happy to sit and chat with you for a bit.I look forward to revisiting when I can spend more time to shop as I made the mistake of bringing my 17 year old son :-) read more

Cute little kitschy meets old world. They sell new items that look old, its a mix of local items, bath and smelly stuff, jewelry, furnishings, lawn decorations, furniture and (for when we went) Christmas stuff. They had some cute items but it seems like a touristy shop because their identify is so scattered. read more

The Fat Pilgrim is one of our favorite stores in Sonoma Valley. It's right on the main road (Broadway) on the way into Sonoma. It's easy to fly right past it, (LOOK for the giant pointing finger sign on the east side of the road!) It reminds me of an old general store but, modernized - they have all the great classic sodas in glass bottles and some fun snacks etc. I was shocked to find that they have a really impressive selection of unique and interesting gifts, kitchen ware and home goods. They have some very cool authentic vintage and antique pieces mixed in with new things that are made to look vintage. They also have pretty jewelry and nice soaps and lotions. Make sure you go though all three buildings and take a stroll through their nice veggie garden out back. They even have live chickens! We saw some outdoor furniture and a fire pit for sale that would look great in our backyard! This is the place to stop if you need a hostess or birthday gift or just want something from Sonoma to bring home - they have a nice selection of books and locally made food items like BBQ sauce and carmel sauce from The Girl & The Fig (Yum!) and I could spend a few hours just looking at everything. Great location, nice people and tons of interesting things to look at, we can't wait to go back. read more

Love this place - lots of fun things to look at - not enough time to look at everything. Bought my co-worker a beautiful nativity set for a very reasonable price for Christmas. Love the way they set up the smaller "barn" with all of the holiday decorations and trimmings. Would highly recommend that you stop and take a look the next time you are in town! read more
