My husband surprised me with a candle making workshop / class. The website says that you are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks to enhance the candle fun. Hot wax and small vittles are a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Jenn our fearless soy candle leader was informative and fun. I appreciate her authenticity and real connection that she made with us. It was nice to meet someone who was able to be themself. Refreshing. The entire class was an intimate group of five total. Jenn took her time with us and made sure that we were happy with the scents we chose for our candles. The class spends a bit of time talking about scents and how to layer them. Did I learn how to make candles on my own? No. It was more of an introduction to the world of candle making. Give it a try and dip your wick into it. FYI: You get a 15% store wide discount on the day of the workshop. Scents open up more fully in your candle after a few days. One Disappointment: We checked Google and Yelp for their hours and thought we could make it before they closed. We raced over for our candles after work. Google & Yelp HAVE MISINFORMATION about HOURS. We tried to call...no answer. Hours are not posted on their door. So check their website for their hours.

There's a number of things here that you could almost find for anyone! Perfect little trinkets store with literally some thing for everyone with a favorite of different figurines. I found my mom's favorite local lotion that's made out of beeswax or something like that. Actually forgot to take a picture, but I bought some! Along with a cute little travel bag. There are also a number of little lucky pocket charms that I found for my friends daughter, and they have cute little cards that go along with it and they come in a little jewelry bag when you buy it. Both ladies that were behind the counter were very helpful And polite. Things were normally priced and there were a number of holiday/winter items that were 60% off since it's January! I didn't see anything I liked but there were a number of ornaments as well as holiday, napkins, paper, napkins, but very cute! I will definitely go back again if I need other little trinket Items or even jewelry.

One is year round Christmas and the other rotates home decor seasonally. Both are fun to browse and even pick up an ornament or two. The staff is very helpful and will get items down from a higher shelf if you want a closer look. Lots to browse in both shops. If you're in a funk, looking at their year round Christmas shop will lift your spirits. This year is the first time I purchased an ornament since I have a full size tree up (have not had one in many years) and they carefully wrapped and bagged my purchase. I bought a Fjords Helsinki chair from a Petaluma shop called Roe and Co. several months ago. We bought it on the sale at 20% and were very excited to bring to our home. We paid the 50% deposit and were notified the chair could be picked up assembled or in two boxes. We asked it be assembled and to please assure everything worked right ... and not really agile with assembly stuff. We were told twice - once by Dan and another time by co-owner Michelle, to call the assembly shop in Santa Rosa, 24 hours in advance to have chair assembled and ready for pick up. We called 48 hours in advance and were given a very confusing disorganized response to this request, something to the effect, well don't come at 10 o'clock on opening because they wont be ready and have to assemble it. I said that was why I was calling as told at least 24 hours in advance so they could assemble prior to pick up at 10 am on Friday 2/21.... and believed that they thus understood it would be assembled and tested ti make sure it all worked according to specifications. We paid two movers w/ a truck to pick up at 10:15 am on 2/21 and they were told to wait, chair needed to be assembled... The chair was then delivered with great care (wrapped in moving blankets by very competent careful movers I personally know) and we put in place. First we saw chair had not been tested as the electrical had not been collected - I had to unbox this stuff - and no instructions were with chair. I called Roe and explained to Michelle the chair a. not preassembled as agreed b. not tested obviously as it was not attached to electrical unit and c. how to put together then. She was quite unpleasant, backed off any responsibility on any of this and gave me the directions to attach the electrical (one extension cord did not fit .... so we cannot use both lengths of connection), but we got it connected and were delighted Until my wife noticed that the left arm was higher - by 3/4" - to the right arm as measured from the floor to top of arm. and the button that controls the angle of the top of the chair did nothing at all. I called Roe and they said this was ridiculous, used awful raised voices, said what I report was impossible, that the chair was fine and was when picked up. I said, how would you know if you did not test it? He refused to answer that but said they have no responsibility, that warranty requires we bring chair to them. Dan said it was damaged by our movers and our problem... nothing to do with them. Roe never helped resolve the problems. So I turned to Fjorde - the maker of the chair - and they were great. We discovered that a main mechanism to move top angle of chair was broken - and never really figured out why one arm 1inch higher than the other. Fjorde offered to replace the chair. ALL I CAN SAY IS AVOID ROE & Company in Petaluma. They are literally the very worst store I have ever had the displeasure to do business with. They are just the epitome of an ugly, self-absorbed, dumb, lazy, disorganized firm.
