What a lovely hidden gem in the outskirts of Benicia! This place duals as an indoor shooting range and archery supply shop. Once you sign in, then you can start shooting. They charge by the hour, and as of mid 2024 it costs $20/hr. Note: you can rent out a bow and arrows or bring your own. The people here are super chill and friendly. It was my first time here, so the volunteers gave pointers on my form which was super helpful. The tips and tricks helped me get my first bullseye just on the second round! I definitely want to come back here to improve my archery skills and channel my inner Legolas haha!

We started coming here for the adult classes and been having such a great time!! We love the environment and to be honest, archery is just such a fun sport. The staff are very friendly and down to earth. Anthony is the regular adult teacher, but I had Tyler the first time I came. They're very different types of teachers, but both so knowledgeable and easy to talk to! You'll be hitting bullseyes in no time (like me in the pic) ;) and you can't beat the price! $25/person which includes the bow and 4 arrows. My husband and I like it so much we are planning to start coming for regular sessions (not lessons). Those are $20/hour but $10/hour if you get a membership card. I'm not sure exactly how those work but we will be looking into it! This is such a cute and great date night idea. It's not glamorous or fancy, but it is just what you need! Try it out.

Great space and their mini lesson was very helpful and instructive. Great for beginners or anyone just wanting to try it out low-commitment

I've been going here for about four years but only once or twice each year. Until recently, I've been going twice a week. I really enjoy it and everyone is really friendly, helpful and nice. I'm working on form and trying to remember all the things to do. I am getting better and more consistent which is exciting. People of all ages and skill level. I have never felt intimidated by other shooters.

My friend and I really enjoyed out time there. They were very welcoming and I would recommended this place for beginners (and probably for more experienced individuals too). There were a wide range of people there from first-timers to many with their own equipment. Everyone there was very friendly, and I felt comfortable being really bad with my aim. The price was very reasonable. I would 100% go again given the chance.

Tried to get the target but got the ball yay

I've been here a few times over the years and I'm glad they are still open. For $20 you can play for an hour, and if your new there's a guide there to help you. Whether your left like me or right handed they have the tools to help you. Our guide was Anthony he was super awesome and friendly and gave us really good tips on how to use proper form. Now your not going to get it right away unless your a genius it took me like 15-20 mins to get the hang of it. It's a ton of fun if your into this kind of thing. We definitely will be coming back again.

First time with the bow and arrows.

Fun place to go for the whole family and for $20 per person hour, worth it. They have an ongoing league every Tuesday.

Carl and Jacob went out of their way to get my damaged bow squared away and back in the field for my next hunt.

Nestled in the peaceful surroundings of Los Altos Hills, the setting itself already makes you feel relaxed and focused while enjoying some sunshine. What truly stood out to me was how warm and attentive the coaches were. From the moment I arrived, they made sure I felt comfortable, guided me patiently through the basics, and offered thoughtful tips that actually helped improve my form. One of the Coaches was so funny , I enjoyed my interaction while hitting the bull's eye. It didn't feel rushed or transactional at all-instead, it felt like they genuinely cared about making the experience enjoyable and meaningful. One small but incredibly kind gesture that really stuck with me was that they let me continue practicing for a few extra minutes beyond my session. That level of thoughtfulness and flexibility made the whole experience feel even more special. Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking to try something new, I'd highly recommend this place. On a recent Saturday morning, my wife and I joined a small group of others in an archery class at Backroom Archery-Turra's. We entered through the retail shop, where that was filled with all kinds of archery paraphernalia that I had no idea about, and we were escorted through a back door to a big room-- the range. Our husband and wife team provided safety information and then handed out bows. They worked step by step to help us learn body positions with the bow that would help us become successful archers. Then we practiced launching some 8 arrows down towards the targets. Many of our arrows missed their target-- some sliding down the floor and others striking the thick padded blanket at the end of the room. After each volley (?) of arrows, they would go over another new technique to refine our posture, and each time our accuracy improved. By the end of our class, they had us pin a balloon to the target. I'm still impressed that I was able to pop the balloon two separate times (when the range was clear, we would all walk down the range and collect our arrows and get set for the next round). It was a fun way to spend the morning and for me, quite satisfying. I now have a lot of respect for those Olympic archers-- and Katniss Everdeen. My only suggestion is to wear long sleeves if it's a cool morning. The range room is a big space with a concrete floor and was a little cool. I've recommended the experience to friends and look forward to returning someday-- will be a great activity on a rainy day.
