Problem was, I saw that there were several other credit cards in the register as well, right next to mine. I haven't bought anything since. Now I get why she was so nonchalant about trying to help me get my card back. The only one I have, BTW. A lack of compassion and ethics. If you come here, don't use any cards.

He's been back to this neighborhood a few times with other relatives of his... but, he didn't buy me anything. I was asked if I knew about the return policy for items. I replied if it's like the return policy at any of the women's boutiques in downtown then yes... I do know about it. There as a person who walked into this location when I walked out... but I didn't know about the theft in this neighborhood before. I have been walking in this neighborhood between about 2010 and 2014. So I probably stopped in between those years. Schmoopie said he likes that location. I did ask if there was another location further out in SE Portland, Oregon. I didn't know that there wasn't enough staff to keep the store open later in the evenings some afternoons. For the price point(s) everything inside seemed on par with the women's boutiques in the downtown core. I recommend you bring your friend who liked rings, or bohemian clothes.

I had a friendly employee guide me to an open fitting room, but once I got to the register (with a different employee) she had hardly said a word to me. I don't think I did anything to warrant a no-talking experience over the counter. Maybe she thought I wasn't the right size to be shopping there, I don't know. She just seemed really talkative to the customer ahead of me in line and fell silent when it was my turn to be rung up. I left happy with my purchase but that interaction just made me feel defeated. I know how it feels when someone thinks you don't belong somewhere. I was surprised that I dealt with that here.

That includes things like a stone store mascot, a discount from 1-33% for a poem, random promotions of a cookie with your purchase, and more. That said, it's still a thrift store so you may not find what you're looking for any given day. But I've seen some of their posts on social media about hunting for what they resell, and I'm grateful to not have to dig through nasty bins and stand in line at 5am for estate sales. They do that for us to curate a store like this and we pay slightly higher prices. Still, prices here seem reasonable - and they have a variety of discounts! Check 'em out!

I was extremely disappointed the other day to find that one of the books they are selling is from a little free library in the neighborhood with a stamp that said not for resale and a sticker with the little free libraries name and another reminder that it is not for resale. Little free libraries are a resource for people to share books and not an opportunity for thrift stores to make money from reselling these books. I pointed this out to the lady working there and she told me there was nothing she could do an didn't seem to care. For a curated thrift store that was a huge disappointment.
