Carne asada tacos were delicious but I asked for al pastor as well and got only carne asada. I also asked for chips and salsa and only received the chips. That was sort of disappointing. On the bright side the service was quick and fhe place was very clean.

Came here while supercharging. Carne asada nachos was the bomb! The meat taste really good and tender, right amount of cheese, beans and nachos. The Birria ramen was great too except it's a little salty. Meat taste great and tender, the soup temperature was perfect and the noodles are perfectly cooked. Service was great and inside was clean and great painting.

Best lunch in Mojave! We stopped here on our way back from Mammoth, and it will be our go to spot. The food is made fresh and the quality is really good. The birria flavor is on point and the queso taco had a great crunch. I've never had a chile Anaheim taco before so this was a pleasant surprise. It's pretty much a taco version of their burrito with a char grilled Anaheim chili, and it was my favorite bite with all the different flavors and textures. Staff is super friendly and the space is really clean with a brewery on the other side.

Very authentic protein options that required translation

Needed a lunch stop while charging our car in the same shopping center. This is pretty much the only food option besides the grocery store. Upon entering, this place is simple and your typical taqueria. We arrived luckily before the busy lunch crowd. The menu is simple and displayed on a screen sitting atop the front counter. There also is a board with all the meat options. Most I required translation from the cashier who also needed to reference a cheat sheet herself! Im assuming this was pretty authentic as the meats included very exotic items such as cow tongue, cow stomach, pork stomach, pork skin, and many others i quickly dismissed. Once we placed our order we were given a table top number with stand to bring to our table. There is plenty of indoor dining. It didn't take too long for our 4 orders to arrive. The quessadillas were smaller than other taquerias I've been to, but the $6 price tag reflects such. It was a bit on the greasy side as shown in the photos. The Keto Tacos that come with two fried flattened melted cheese topped with meet, more cheese and diced onions. This definitely is not adequate to serve as an entree. The asada burrito was nothing spectacular and disappointingly was missing sour cream. All in all, this is an acceptable stop.given the limited choices in the middle of the desert. The one remarkable service was the friendly service from all the staff including the cashier, the cook and the back kitchen.

Perfect spot for a quick bite! Every person in my party ate 3 carne asada street tacos. Simple with cilantro and onions with choice of sauce. Delish! My daughter ate just a cheese quesadilla and she enjoyed it more than usual! It was so cheesy. Staff was gracious, friendly and welcoming! Bathrooms clean, the restaurant was roomy so could totally accommodate larger parties. NOTE!!! Don't dump away the dishes! They're plastic but that's what they use so there'll reusable. Glassware breaks anyway! Can't wait to go back. This will be my go-to place whenever we drive thru the area.

Food is good and affordable. Trying new things on the menu, but so far, so good. Their specialty drinks are made in house and bottled up and packaged in these awesome bottles. This is a must try taco spot in the AV. With our limited options of good tacos and delicious variety of meat in the AV, know that you don't have to drive down the hill to get that flavor your use to. Fatboys is the place where you can cure that craving . Great food, great prices and good portions. Try the TNT it's a must grab. The carnitas are seasoned well and the meat is tender. Came to the Mojave location and it was very disappointing hardly had any meat options, no sign of what they did have available, asked for suadero, they didn't have it, asked for buche again they said NO, asked for cueritos the cashier and the lady in the back BOTH EXTREMELY RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL SAID NO AGAIN, I was like ok then what do you have available because clearly their is no sign, she said very sarcastically "we have meat" I just walked out truly disappointed why promote if when you arrive to the location they don't have any and to make matters worse be very rude?? Loving this new spot, so convenient to stop at when you're heading to or from the desert or on your way to or from Tehachapi and Bakersfield. And they have a mobile food truck as well, we've hired them to cater parties before and everyone says it's the best tacos they've ever had. Even my grandson had the nerve to tell my daughter that her tacos weren't as good as Fat Boys Taco's! The boy is lucky she ever fed him again lol. The building refresh is great new counters new tables and you can watch your food being cooked right there in front of you which is always a plus! So if you're looking for authentic Mexican food that will make your grandson want to jump up and slap his mama head over to fat boys taco, charge your Tesla and grab a beer next door at "Local Craft Beer" the notice on the door says coming soon!!! read more

The food was so delicious, just so amazing. Ordered for two. We had 7 Street Tacos ( 2 Pastor, 2 Carnitas, 2 Pollo & 1 Asada, We We're given Onions, Cilantro & Fresh Limes. All 4 different Salsas Chipotle, Red Salsa, Salsa Verde & Avocado Salsa all very good in their own ways.) 1 Carne Asada Burrito with rice and beans inside awesome. & 1 Carne Asada Quesadilla. Very nice & so clean inside. Good amount of tables for the size. Great friendly customer service with a smile. Easy ordering. Very fast, I ordered for takeout it seriously took 5-6 minutes. Food was good. The carne asada though *chefs kiss* Prices were decent. I think the pipes need to be fixed again, although that corner is notorious for it always has been. Was a little disappointed you can't get water cups.... Bring your own drink or buy a drink there. Overall good place will probably order to go in the future. Hope it stays open. read more

Burritos and birria are just okay. Quesadillas small but good. The girl taking orders is not very bright. After ordering and then confirming with her twice, she still didn't put my burrito order in correctly. I just wanted onions and cilantro added. Maybe tacos are their strong point. Amazing food! So happy to have this addition to the food scene in Mojave. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and have returned a few times since we first tried when they opened. The service is good. I like knowing the food is freshly prepared. The restaurant is clean and has seating. There's a brewery lounge next door and they allow you to take your food in there or your beer in here. read more
