Fat burger with gluten free bun and vegan chocolate shake!
    Jessica H.

I loved my burger today! It makes me so happy that they have gluten free buns. I had the perfect balance of toppings. Excellent meat too. And I was so pumped that they have vegan shakes!! It was such a treat getting a shake without worrying it would give me an upset stomach. It was comparable to any fake ice cream shake- like a McDonald's one... but dairy free! Impressive! My one complaint is that I was dripping sweat inside this place, but I realize it was crazy hot outside and very crowded inside and I'm not sure it's even fatburger's fault... so I'm not docking a star for it!

Original (Fatburger) - 3/5, Burger was kind of pricy for the size and cheese was an additional $1.25. The burger patty was cooked to a crisp which gave it a slight crunch. I didn't find it unpleasant, but it wasn't amazing. Service was fairly fast and I would be open to trying this chain again at another location.

This is a Fatburger (FB) Restaurant, but more of a Fat Burger kiosk located in a small food court. With three employees working the entire FB establishment, don't expect your order to be prepared in lightening speed. It appeared they offer most of the popular items from the FB Restaurant and like usual, you can customize your burgers too. They did have the the Impossible Burger, stating they ran out. This is their vegan plant based burger. The soda fountain has free refills, so order the small cups to save a few bucks. They do have multi-stalls female and male restrooms. This food court is attached to the gasoline full convenience store which has an assortment of iced and hot coffee for those long Nevada to California drives.

Stopped by for lunch in the way to Las Vegas. This gas station has a small food court with a sitting area. Fat burger was pretty good and fast. The fries was bland and not crispy enough. I love steak fries when they are done correctly. The locations in LA definitely taste better.

Yesterday I stopped at baker Ca , just wanted a snack. So Fatburgers was the place to get a good snack, I ordered Chilli fries. The fries were very delicious but could've used just a little more chili. Service was fast , staff was friendly. Nice clean place to stop on the road.

This was just what my belly was searching for.

This restaurant was in a gas station food court. Don't let that fool you. Aside from the higher than normal prices (because you're in the middle of nowhere Baker) everything is as it should be. I had the classic burger and the meat was fresh and seasoned well. The Fries.wer substantial and delicious. I definitely would love to try.another fatburger. Oh, and lastly the two employees working were super nice. Two thumbs up for me.

Fun diner. Great prices…read more The location is a short drive off the freeway. This diner is definitely a staple in the desert. It is original and has been here since the 50s. The food tastes good. There's lots of seating. I ordered one of the burgers, and the meat patty was cooked just right had had flavor. I ordered a side broccoli cheddar soup, and the waitress said it was made in house. It did taste home made. Lots of marines were there when I visited, the AC didn't work too well, and the wait staff were pretty busy. I definitely want to return and try other plates. I hear the breakfast is awesome.

We came in on a Friday afternoon, around lunchtime, and were surprised to see that the place was busy! There are a lot of tourists that stop by - and rightfully so, as they have decorated the place very uniquely. We were told the wait for a table would be around 20 minutes, were handed a beeper, and were encouraged to wait by the gift shop. The gift shop offers Thrifty Ice Creams, other sweet treats, and so many different merchandise items! It was definitely a nice stop to stretch your legs and to browse around. After our beeper went off, we were escorted to our booths and met our waitress. It took her a while to come by and help us with our orders. I mean, it's lunch rush; the place inside is loud, a bit chaotic, and honestly, it just has a charm on its own. Their walls are tacked with pictures and posters, and I love the little fact booklet showing how much everything cost back in 1996. Finally, after placing our orders, the food came! We ordered grilled cheese with French fries for the kids, tuna melts, NY steak strips, and root beer float. The kids' meals were solid; they loved them, and the root beer was great and refreshing! I loved that it came first so that we could enjoy it on a really hot day! So the float was much needed. The tuna melts and the steak itself were really good, great even. The sides were okay - the corn that came with the steak seems like it came out of a can; the mashed potatoes were dense and heavy, and while it may be a great solid side, it was a bit too heavy and a bit saltier than our preference. The tuna melts came with French fries, which we upgraded to onion rings. The onion rings were delicious; we'll need a bigger portion next time! The soup of the day was clam chowder, and we appreciated that it was delicious. We were initially missing a few things for the table, but our waitress checked in on us multiple times and eventually got us everything we needed. She also explained that their dishwasher was down or having an issue, but even then, they got through the lunch rush that Friday afternoon. We finished our meal and walked through the gift shop toward the back of the diner. There, we found a duck pond with 3 ducks and a lot of turtles in the water who seemed hungry, as they approached us immediately when we looked at them, plus some neat statues and a stage! Overall, it is a neat place to stop by at least once! If you don't have time to sit down and have lunch or dinner, you can always stretch your legs in the gift shop and perhaps enjoy a thrifty ice cream or a root beer float.

We stood in the entry waiting to be greeted and seated. There was a bartender and a waitress that we could see. Neither far from us. Direct line of sight. The waitress was busy chatting up a male patron who was sitting at the bar. Not serving him food just hanging out talking. The bartender looked to be working straightening up her area. Neither acknowledged us. We were just standing there waiting patiently. We waited about two minutes. I realize this wasn't a long time but they were both right there very close to us and neither acknowledged us in any way. Even a signal to us like be right with you...any acknowledgment would have been acceptable and we'd have waited. Finally we turned to leave. As we were exiting, the bartender told the waitress there were people waiting (something along those lines). She said ah ok as we were just about out the door. The waitress could have cared less. Even a fib like I'm sorry I didn't see you would have worked. Nothing. Service here sucked last time and this time well...we had a great lunch across the street. We will be spending our money elsewhere.

The atmosphere is cozy it has that warm, comfort-food vibe that just makes you relax and enjoy your time. The food definitely delivers on that "home-style" promise. We ordered a variety of dishes: the country fried steak skillet, the hobo skillet, and the chicken fried steak--all hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. I went with the cinnamon French toast, and for just $4.49 extra, it came with eggs and a choice of sausage or bacon (I picked sausage). Everything was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are generous--we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking boxes home, which honestly just means we get to enjoy it again later for brunch! This is a perfect stop if you're traveling along the I-15--especially for road trippers or truck drivers looking for a solid, comforting meal. Just keep in mind they're open from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, so plan accordingly. Definitely recommend if you're craving good, filling comfort food in a welcoming, homey setting
