We've passed by Peggie Sue's Diner many times, actually. Even when we were driving from Vegas to Southern California & back when we lived there (3.5hr drive. Of course we would drive.) As soon as we parked, looking at the building up close was amazing. I actually forgot where I was going to, not realizing it made sense it was so colorful. (50's themed Diner duh. lol) Wow, the juke box as the entrance was a nice touch. Loved that automatically. When you walk in, it's immediately filled with 50's decoration & objects around. I didn't realize how big this place was. They have like 4 rooms & all filled with all kinds of stuff on the walls. So much history!! Breakfast was good & reasonable prices!! I had an omelette & my husb had steak & eggs. Shelly our server was nice & the outfits are so nice! Really made me feel like I was in a 50's diner. We took a little break from our long journey back home. We decided to try this place out since they had a ton of signs along the freeway. There's plenty of parking available. I take the parking situation seriously LOL. Definitely a diner vibe going on here. The service was good but not great. I ordered a lemonade but I was grossed out because there was a lipstick stain on my plastic coke cup. That was a major turn off for me. I didn't even bother asking for a new cup. My sandwich was good and the onion rings were good but they were all clumped together which made it hard to enjoy. The cherry milkshake was good. Food was delicious! My husband LOVED the pastrami sandwich(Sid Caesar). My daughter had a tasty turkey sandwich(Audrey Hepburn). I chose the chili cheese fries(Ritchie Valens). The service was not good. It could have been that it was Memorial Day and. 59s Diner is quite appealing to a traffic filled highway. It was crowded so it took over 15min to get seated. Our drinks were served after a brief wait, but then it took the waitress about another 15min to get to us to take our order! Then we waited a while to get our food. All in all, we spent more time waiting than eating . The small booth seating, across from the stool seats offer a not so roomy walkway. The gentleman playing pushed in a wheelchair kept bumping into both sides of the walkway, bumping people in the process. Not his fault, but the walkway should be wider! Out of all the times I've been, I have never seen this place as packed as this visit. Of course memorial weekend brings people to and from Vegas and this is the middle from spot LA. The parking lot was pretty packed and they have a massive lot. It was seat yourself at any open tables without a reserved sign. Plus all the room was utilized which was a first time seeing it. I'm used to just having a table in the main room and that's that. But this visit, it was packed. Service was great with everything going on. Of course I love my usual, the fried chicken meal for breakfast...lol... It does take a while to prepare which they alway mentioned. That comes with a side of green beans and either mashed or fries. The dish and another we order did come but with everything we didn't ask for. Waitress was very sweet and did take care of us and replaced what was wrong. Food has alway been great every time we've been. I've only had a few things from the menu as i tend to stick to what I like here. The place is a fun spot for families. A nice little back garden area with a stage and fun statues. Pond has loads of turtles but has seen better days with the green algae water. Sunday, 3-29-2026: We stopped here for dinner on our way to Las Vegas. Upon entering you don't need to wait to be seated, you seat yourself. There are 3 or 4 dining rooms to choose from. This restaurant certainly was larger than it looked from the outside. It is adorned with movie and character memorabilia that is interesting, fun, and kitschy. You never know what you'll find around the corner. We settled at a table in one of the dining rooms that had wall decor depicting Lucy & Ricky, Elvis, and other famous stars of yesteryear, etc. Our exuberant server gave us an extensive menu. She was sweet, friendly, and very attentive. Their waitress uniform capture the past very well. It's so cute & appropriate for the vibe they've established. The food came out quick & hot. It's classic comfort food that is hearty & done well. We definitely enjoyed our stop here and leaving full. We were given a ticket to get a free tootsie roll from their ice cream & gift shop. The gift shop is full of unique souvenirs and trinkets. It was fun browsing but had to be on our way. We plan on returning. Wow passed this for years always said we were gonna stop and we finally did! It's so big inside and had photo memorabilia from so many movies and movie stars along with pictures of Peggy Sue with some of them! I love Lucy walk. Elvis, blues brothers, wizard of oz. Each dining area is different too. Nice store as well but expect tourist prices but they do have some unique things. I like the John Wayne shirts. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Had a patty melt on sourdough with fries. It was very good. The pies looked yummy but we were too full. Can't wait to go back. Peggy Sue's 50s Diner is located off of the I-15, which is on our way when we go and visit Las Vegas! We decided for this trip we were going to stop by and check it out on our way! The diner is a few turns as soon as you exit the highway. We went on a Sunday morning and the diner was pretty crowded. It looked like they had a old car meet-up going on in the other side of the parking lot, which was cool. When you go into the restaurant, you will find all kinds of cool pictures and old memorabilia from over the years! It was really cool seeing all of the pictures of Peggy Sue with different stars across the years. The only thing we didn't like was the vibe of the customers that were there. They all seemed very snobby and stuck-up. Not welcoming at all, but we just kept to ourselves and tried to enjoy our time there! We got a table pretty fast but while observing their seating process it seems like they have specific tables set aside for specific party sizes and will not seat you unless you are an exact fit to that number to maximize their space. Our server was very nice, she checked on us a few times throughout our time there. We ordered the Mockingbird Hill Breakfast which came with two eggs any style, with a choice of hashbrowns/ sliced tomatoes/ or cottage cheese, and your choice of toast/English muffin/ or biscuit and gravy. You van also opt in to adding meat to this breakfast and I chose bacon! My wife ordered the Travelers Special that came with eggs and style, 2 pancakes or French toast, and 3 bacon or sausage links. Our food came out VERY fast, I want to say it was less than 5 minutes from placing our order. The food looked really yummy but I honestly wouldn't give it a over the top rating, to me it is very average diner food. It was a yummy breakfast to fill us up on our other half of the trip to Vegas! Recommendations when visiting: Weekdays are probably going to be less crowded. Take some time to look around the restaurant, there are so many photos to see. There is a small gift shop to the left when entering, we did not check out but if you are visiting, this may be something to check out. Check out their menu in advance, it will make ordering faster and your food should come out fairly quick. We've driven by this place a hundred times and finally decided to stop in on our way home from Nevada. The place was quite busy and we were quoted a 30+ min wait. We walked around and our table was ready within 10 mins! We got a great seat at the diner bar and were assisted by Connie. She's recommended the banana split cream pie and it was delicious! I wish I would have taken a photo but we devoured it. The staff really seem to love their jobs. I really was invested in just watching all the fast paced orders coming in and watching the waitresses make so many customers smile and laugh. We will definitely be coming back here! Aloha gang! We decided to make a pit stop on the way back from Las Vegas to Peggy Sue's Diner. It's a roadside diner located in Yermo, Ca. This diner is filled with memorabilia from the 1950's and Hollywood. Plenty of 50's music to enjoy while dining. There are multiple dining rooms, so if you walk in and it's busy, a sign asks to seat yourself.. I just wished there could have been a hostess to help seat guests. When we arrived it was very busy and as we navigated through the restaurant, every room was packed and since we didn't know the layout of this establishment, we felt like we had to make our way through a maze of multiple dining rooms before we found an open table. This place is big. Once we were seated, the staff was friendly and efficient. Our server, Ashley took our orders and delivered our food with a smile, constantly checking on us. She did a great job. Peggy Sue's 50's diner is always our one and only stop when driving between LA and Vegas. This retro 50's diner truly lives up to its name. As soon as you walk in you feel like you're automatically transported back in time to a different decade. The decorations are top notch, there are a ton of different rooms with different displays and movie depictions, and there is a super cute gift shop. I love this place solely for the fun vibes it brings to the table. The food is nothing spectacular, just your run of the mill diner food, but it definitely does the trick for those long road trips. I got a regular ol' cheeseburger and my friend got a Philly cheesecake which filled us up for hours. They have all sorts of pie as well, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the lemon meringue, but they have a few other flavors as well as other desserts to try from the menu. Incredibly disappointed with our experience here. My family and I were returning home from our Las Vegas trip and decided to stop here for brunch. We were already starving but decided to hold out for 2 hours as we drove down to this location, excited to try this spot out. Our first impression was wonderful. The restaurant itself was so cute and nicely decorated. Each room was very different but all fit an overall old Hollywood theme that was super fun. Despite being busy, we were seated only after a 15 minute wait. When it was time to place our orders, I was told that the fried chicken would take longer to prepared compared to the other meals. No matter, I had read other reviews and was prepared to receive this news. I asked the waitress how long it typically takes. She said 25-45 minutes. She offered to ask the kitchen how long the wait would be at that time and came back to say 25 minutes. What luck! If only it were true. The plan was for me and my dad to share the Philly cheese steak and the fried chicken so I told the waitress that we'll start with the cheesesteak while we wait for the chicken to get ready. She took everyone else's orders and put the order in quickly. 15 minutes go by and not a single dish has come out. Not even the grilled cheese sandwiches that we ordered for my two very young kids. 30 minutes. 45 minutes. At this point, I tell the waiter, I really hope everyone else isn't stuck waiting because I ordered the fried chicken. She says they typically prepare all the meals at the same time but she'll let the kitchen know now. Wtf. How was it not clear when we placed our orders? 60 minutes. After 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES, our food finally arrived. At this point I was so upset that the entire meal was ruined for me. We had 6 hours of driving ahead of us and we wasted a solid 2 hours at this sub-par diner that had nothing but cool decorations going for them. I had multiple touch points with the waitress throughout our visit and not once did she call out that there would be a delay in our meals. I can overlook the fact that she forgot to bring the other meals out while we waited for the fried chicken, but what continues to blow my mind is how 25 minutes became 75 minutes. And at no point did she think it was important to tell us there would be an unexpected longer wait, and give us a chance to change our order so we wouldn't be stuck sitting around for 2 hours with a 2 and 6 year old. Nothing they served us was worth the wait. I have nothing good to say about this spot. They absolutely do not respect their customer's time. Avoid this restaurant at all costs unless you have that kind of time to waste. 0/5, would not recommend. read more

We came on a friday at the peak of lunchtime. They give you a buzzer and ask to wait in the store area. The store area has all sorts of random items ranging from disney to sanrio items. We were seated within 30 minutes. They have a big menu to choose from. Opted for the fried chicken plate and the audrey hepburn sandwich. Both were good but we felt it was nothing to come back for. I should have asked if the bread on the sandwich would be toasted, that probably would have made a difference. The service was great, but probably a one and done for us. There's a shop to look at while you're waiting for seating and an outside pond and picnic style area in the back. They hustle and bustle with getting you seating and service. We had the classic cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, pastrami, curly fries, coleslaw, potato salad, shakes, and classic Vanilla Coke. Cheeseburgers were delicious and wife loved the potato salad. Kids enjoyed the shakes and I loved the classic Vanilla Coke! Way better than the modern version. Great food, service, and vibe! We came here for the annual Super Bowl Run and car show. Breakfast is served buffet style in the dining room for this. There was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, potatoes, French toast available. The scrambled eggs were perfectly made and tasted good. There was a big crowd but plenty of tables available. The buffet line made it fast and efficient to serve everyone. There is always an option to order off the menu for this event. Waitstaff were friendly and efficient. We arrived about one hour before closing, and we were seated right away at a booth in one of their dining areas. They have a larger dining area a bit further in as well. The salad arrived first and was basically some lettuce with dressing. This definitely could be improved. The cornbread was OK but was on the dry side and was quite dense. The meatloaf was OK...but...how do you burn meatloaf? The slices were very dark and crisp. Not bad necessarily but not what I expected. The baked potato was good and cooked all the way through. The green beans were fine but mostly tasteless. I had the blueberry pie for dessert. The crust was quite good, but the filling seemed like a canned filling. It was quite gelatinous, and the blueberries were minimal and quite small. It did not have that "homemade" taste. You are given a slip to obtain complimentary candy in the gift shop after dining, but the gift shop was closed when we left. Thus we were unable to redeem this.
