Pretty fun place to bring kids. They have a fun arcade, bowling, glow golf and even a movie theater.

I went there last year I think. You have to use cards and you don't get tickets. To get the prizes, they have to scan the card. And all of the points are in the card. It's okay. And the games. Your mom plays them too much read more

FatCats is pretty much the only option for new release movies in Rexburg (unless you want to hit the drive-in theater during the summer). They also offer a bunch of other things to do like bowling, VR, and an arcade. It's pretty much always been busy when I've been there. The movie experience is OK. It's good enough that you're probably not going to bother with driving down to Idaho Falls. Sometimes the movies go fine, other times you have various incidents. The last movie I saw only had sound coming out the front speakers, even though there were clearly speakers all around the walls. Not having even basic Dolby Digital in 2018 is a little weird. It also seems like people being in their correct seats is a regular problem. The seating is assigned, which is great, but annoying when you have to play the game of asking people to move. During the last movie we had the FatCats guy going up and down our aisle trying to verify tickets AFTER the movie had started! There is also a Yelp checkin offer that you should checkout if it's still available. A large popcorn when buying two tickets! Hopefully I'll get to try some of the other activities soon. read more

40 dollars to bowl for one hour in a dirty, stinky alley. The shoes are older than my grandpa and stunk like oil and sweat. The bowling balls had been cleaned maybe ever? They were all greasy and had dirt caked in the finger slots. The bathroom also didn't have any hot water which is concerning for anyone eating the food there... That means the kitchen isn't washing their hands correctly. read more

We've been here many times over the years to watch movies and bowl. It's a favorite place for our kids. They also like the arcade games.

Clean, honest, good, classic. These are just a few of the words i would associate with the fat cats crew of Rexburg Idaho. Was treated to a delightful date, and to top the night off we went to go bowl a couple of frames at our local fat cats. A core memory was unlocked that night thanks to the credible crew at fat cats. Service was prompt and the place made me want to sucker punch my grandma in the ankle it was so good. read more

This place is ok. Seating- 2/5. The seats here have little cushioning and ZERO recline. The arm rest are stiff and skinny. Picture-2/5 The quality of picture of the movies seems to be a lot lower than its Idaho Falls counterpart. You might as well just wait for the movie to come out at the cheap theater and get a similar picture quality. Food options 4/5- You have all your basic candies and treats but they also offer fresh baked pizza which is actually pretty good. Staff 4/5- Everyone is really friendly and helpful. On an annoying note, they don't show R rated movies. Which I'm fine with because I only watch movies there as a last resort. If you have an option, I'd go to Idaho Falls or the cheap theater in Rexburg. read more

Great place for a small town like Rexburg! They've got bowling, VR games (which are pretty awesome), mini golf, pool tables, arcade games, and of course movies. Everytime I've come here the customer service has been fast and friendly. Reasonable prices, in my opinion. I'm from a bigger city where movie tickets are about $13 a person so spending far less that that is pretty great! You also can pick assigned seats when you buy tickets which is awesome so you don't have to wait in line to get the best seats. Overall, great source of entertainment in this small town! read more

My husband and I have seen number of movies here. We always buy or tickets online, to claim seats faster...because if you do it at the register, well, it's a hit or miss with your ideal seat choice. Movies play on time, but four stars for the WAY TOO MANY preview trailers. And Four stars because the "clean up crews" don't always look happy once the audience exits the theater. They look like they hate life and hope for us to get faster...but instead of asking us politely to hasten out...they look at us (for those who look back), they silently stare, judging our choice of movie haha. I remember catching a few movies here during my college days and not being too impressed. I figured I'd try it again now that it's been a few years. I don't think I'll ever spend my money for a movie here again, here's why: 1) They're not making any effort to sync their movie times with popular movie services like Fandango, Around Me, etc. So unless you're intimately familiar with Rexburg, ID and the names of the theater's to look them up 1-by-1, you're likely going to miss the movie. As an example, we had to ask if Fat Cats and "The Rex" were the same thing. Apparently they are, but we thought we were in the wrong place. 2) We tried to catch Pacific Rim in 3D. The tickets, although decently priced, were way too much for the actual experience. The glasses they gave us were filthy, spotted, and had fingerprints on the lenses. Apparently cleaning them is a very low priority to these guys. This just wasn't my pair, but everyone's in my group. 3D movies with filthy lenses will ruin the experience. I asked for a rag to clean it, but the rag they gave me was greasy and made my lenses worse. 3) The 3D movie itself wasn't calibrated correctly and the images and text were offset just enough to drive you insane and the text wasn't readable. We ended up asking for a refund and then switching to the regular movie (more to come on that). When I reported the issue, they said they would fix it and restart the movie, but by that time I didn't have a lot of confidence in their ability to get it right. 4) When the regular movie started, they didn't have the sizing correct. The tops of people's heads were cut off and the subtitles were also cut off. Annoying! After reporting the issue, it took another 5+ minutes for them to fix it, but which time we'd missed a good chunk of what was said during some scenes. Hopefully it wasn't integral to the movie. When they did "fix it", the movie was then playing 3 feet above the screen and onto the curtains, so I had to go back out (again!) and report that issue. They then fixed that. At this point, my poor experience here overshadowed my ability to enjoy the movie. Don't waste your money. Drive a 1/2 hour and catch a movie in Idaho Falls or at the other theater in town. Other: Service is slow and it seems like the employees drag their feet to do even the simple tasks. In short, I left wondering how they're still in business. read more

Had a amazing time with the family. Pricing it fair and there is a ton to do. Our teenage daughters loved it.

The staff has been accommodating in the past. However, I've been pretty dissatisfied lately. They've been rude and impatient. If you're a little late in mentioning you're a student to get a student discount, then they won't do anything about it and charge you full price. They should at least ask, as other businesses would do. Oh, and the fact that you're assigned seats is pretty lame. Overall, they just don't seem concerned with the customers. I only come here for new movie releases, otherwise I'd never waste my money here. **Most recently, we came with a group of neighbor families for bowling. They told us they'd charge us less, since they had it reserved for a large group in a while, and we wouldn't get the full time. However, the manager came by and told us they were shutting it down, after having barely gotten our shoes on and selected our bowling balls. Very dissatisfied with their service. read more

Overall it's just okay. From now on I'll only go for the movies. The bowling lanes are constantly breaking and their balladium game doesn't work at all. We had my sons birthday part their today and were supposed to get 90 mins of bowling. Our party host who was supposed to be bowling with the kids and helping them stopped us playing after 45 mins. She was nice but overall not super helpful. The manager didn't seem to care that the balladium game that was included in the party package didn't work or that we weren't allowed to bowl our full 90 mins. This place is a fun! A little dirty is the only negative thing I have to say. Fair prices, Tuesday is $5 movies I think. Really relaxed Atmosphere. Magic of the movies. They also have a small arcade, big bowling section, and a glow in the dark mini golf!!! Also have a decent food selection pizza is decent. Good for a date, FHE, kids birthday etc. read more

I'm here to only review fat cats movie theatre aspect and nothing else. I love the $5 Tuesday they provide and the ticket line seems pretty fast. But their popcorn is just not good. They don't butter the popcorn for you which is a huge issue. They have the butter station by their soda machine (so that makes that area even more crowded) and it isn't the same. Since you butter the popcorn there's no way to get extra butter and there's no way to get that extra butter evenly distributed throughout the popcorn. All you can do is get a heavy layer of butter on just the top layer of popcorn. It is a true disgrace and terrible idea. read more

I've gone to Fat Cats for a few different reasons. * Movies: The price is comparable to other theaters (excluding the "cheap theaters") and I find it to be a great place to watch a new release. The stadium seating is nice and keeps a tall person in front of you from blocking the screen. For the newest movies, you can pick your exact seats and not have to worry about finding two close together. You can book out a whole row for your friends, which is nice when you are trying to go as a group. The popcorn and soda are priced as you would expect. If you want the experience of movie, soda, and popcorn, expect to be shelling out a little dough. * Bowling- I've gone with a group or two and this is a great place for bowling. Nice clean lanes and an abundance of balls. They start the night out with all the bowling balls grouped by weight, which really helps when searching. *other activites- there is a mini golf and arcade games. Plus an air compress tennis ball shooting range. They are also reasonably priced.. It's a good all inclusive place to take a group for a birthday, evening out, or maybe fun during a family reunion. A little spendy to make it a weekly date night, but worth it if you do. read more

Love fat cats. The breadstick are unusually good. I love the movie theater and have enjoyed my experience there. I think the management is on top of things and the employees are nice to interact with. I don't know how long the management has been in place, but my last several experiences have been good. I have even gone just to pick up some of their hot breadsticks for under $5. Nice job guys! read more

The one thing I extremely dislike about Fat Cats is that in the theater your seats are assigned. I'm pretty sure this is the only movie theater in the world that does this and there's no point. I just can't get over the assigned seating. Last time we went in to get tickets (early by the way), there were about 30 seats open, none of which were next to each other. Who goes to the theaters to sit by themselves? Ridiculous. Other than that it looks fun for kids. Gaming and bowling and such. Although, I've never played any of them. read more

Where to begin...? Cons: sound quality, hearing other movies, employees, and the smell. Audio quality: imagine getting not so great speakers with not enough amp and turning it up as loud as it will go and then putting them right behind the screen. That will describe the experience. Sound proofing: if you want to hear two movies playing at the same time, this is the place! And it smells like a mildewy locker room...always. Employees: are rude. First experience was during a movie, a "manager" storms in and starts yelling at several groups of people about seating arrangements. There's ways of doing things and interrupting a movie and just losing it is not the way to do it. I don't think trying to start a fight is going to do anything. Second experience was waiting to purchase tickets. We waited for 15 minutes because a couple ahead of us did not know what they wanted to watch and we were never even acknowledged. It wasn't like it was busy or anything. And the arcade looks like it's from the 90s with half the things never working. read more

We came during the summer. Talk about value! 99 cents bowling and mini golf. That being said, two rounds of bowling and a round of golf. Also, arcade games are good. This is the only downfall. There appears to be not enough video games. But the price is very reasonable. Love the movies in there. Wish we had more time to catch a movie or two. If we had the whole day then maybe we could. I went with my date to go see a movie he had a coupon that he won at his company (after doing a trade, movie tickets for Co. food) anyways the coupon was expired for like a week, (Two free movie tickets) and the lady (seemed like a manager) asked for them and ripped them up in our faces and made a super awkward seen for us. My date was humiliated and upset due to his knowledge of how his co received the tickets. All in all they are too young and immature here. and they have a poor way of handling things. Until they figure out how to treat people right, i will not be going back. read more

Beware! This bowling alley will not work with your privately owned ball. We both bowled the first frame with no issue on ball return except it was slow. We didn't realize the second bowlers ball was stuck which made the first bowlers ball get caught behind it and got gouges in it. When we talked to the manager we were told the alleys are not certified so the don't recommend using your own balls. Certified or not, bowling balls are consistent shape and size. They have a sign but past where we checked in and the guy didn't tell us. Frustrating when a ball you bought new and used maybe 10 times gets damaged when it could have been prevented. read more

I came to fat cats simply wanting to watch a movie. I was excited to see the movie because it had been something I had really been looking forward too. I went to buy my ticket and I forgot to bring my school ID to get the discount. I then tried to explain to the cashier that I had left it at home but I was indeed a student at BYU Idaho. I then tried to ask if I could log onto the BYU website to show him I was a student and he rudely laughed in my face and told me no. I tried to explain again but I was interrupted by him laughing again and telling me like I was an idiot that he just needed the School ID card. It's completely unacceptable for an employee to address a customer that way. I will not ever be coming to fat cats again and I will be advising others as well to do the same. read more

I have mixed feallings on this place. The prices are fair but the service is horrid. Prices for movies, bowling, food, and arcade games are slighly less than comparable places in the region. I think the bowling, pizza, mini-golf package is a good value. The whole cetner has a great clean atmosphere. Customer Service is horrid!!! I gave this place two chances before wrting this review and my experience was the same each time. The restaurant side of things does not even know what hospitality is and that they are driving away customers. They wanted to charge us $6 for a pitcher of water. We also had to go back up to ask for plates. I got back in line to order additional food and was in line for over ten minutes. This is frustrating when you can see 5 employees back in the kitchen eating. So in the end we did not order more food. Our hour of bowling ended in the beginning of the 10th frame and they would not extend it for us to finish without buying another hour. Obviously they have created a culture where the customer does not come first. As for the bowling, the lanes are not level. They are fine if you are just there to have fun but if you were serious about your game you would be frustrated. Overall, mixed feelings. We come here a lot for the "Thunder Alley." $6-8 depending on the day for 4-5 hours of bowling. It's great fun and not a bad price, but they are the worst lanes I've ever bowled on. From the balls jamming, to the pins not setting up right, to the scores counting weird with no computer to edit them, it's just not a quality venue. You decide if that's worth your money, cuz we're definitely questioning it. read more

Two & a half stars really... because they have various entertainment options (movies, arcade, bowling, small glow in the dark indoor mini golf, pool and some virtual reality thing). But the kids they have working the counters.....ugh. They all act like they'd rather be anywhere else but there, which doesn't make purchasing your activities for some "family fun" very enjoyable. The food is mediocre, but about what I'd expect from places like these, so no dis on the food. The bowling is fine, one of my shoes kept coming undone because the Velcro was worn, but we had fun. The mini golf is 9 holes was extremely warm inside the section though. So we stopped keeping score and hurried through to get out as we were all roasting. The arcade games are average. We were shortchanged almost $10 on one of our receipts & when we went to talk to the counter clerk, they just didn't care, gave the old "sorry, that was a different person, I just got here" and walked away. Really? We just spent a bunch of money for 8 people to do all these activities.... with lunch & all we got was "sorry, that was someone else". No "let me ask a manager, let me ask what we can do...nothing". Overall, it's convenient because it's all indoors, but can get soendy if a large family wants to spend the day and have lunch. It's about what you'd expect from your average "fun center" with young kid employees who are there to do the least amount of work as possible. My advice, eat elsewhere, come to do a movie and bowl or whatever combo of entertainment you are looking for, but COUNT YOUR CHANGE CLOSELY! For all I know, the kids are pocketing the extra money to balance their tills to make up for the fact as they don't appear to thrilled with their minimum wage job or to be working there to begin with. read more

All of their pool tables are in extremely poor condition. Why anyone would pay $6.00 to play on such terrible equipment is beyond me. Also, why does it take 4 employees to do a checkout? It's as though no one there knows what they're doing. read more

I didn't realize the large didn't get free refills (which I bought thinking it would) and they apologized for not clarifying and charged me the difference quickly, and I was on my way.
