Great value for movie tickets prices ($5!) and treats ($1+). Employees were friendly and helpful. Street parking was okay. The screens are small and the air conditioner is loud (and unnecessary when it was cold outside). But we have fun watching "The Last Rodeo." read more

The movie was super quiet and it was hard to hear dialogue, let alone feel the rumble of the bass. By the end, the theater was absolutely roasting and there was zero air flow. We were sweating and everyone in the theater was dying to get outside. Both issues should be an easy fix but until then I'd go to FatCats read more

I really liked this movie theater. It is old and a little rundown, but you can see great movies at a cheaper price and snacks won't break the bank. The seats were comfortable enough and they rock back some. The staff were friendly and the bathroom was clean. Perfect for the family on a budget but still want to go out. read more

I don't know how you can complain about this place. For $2.50 on Tuesdays and $3.50 any other day of the week, you can't go wrong. It sure beats paying $11.00 per ticket to go to Idaho Falls. Sure, newer movies take a little while to come to this theater, but to me, it's worth the wait. Movies always play on time, without a hitch, and the theater is rarely crowded. Paramount Twin (now known as Paramount 5) is the local Rexburg "cheap theatre". Tickets are fairly prices and you won't feel like you'll need to take out a mortgage to get some decent treats. Popcorn can get kinda stale, so if you can try to catch a fresh batch, that's the best. For $3 a ticket you can see the "inbetweener movies". Movies that have maybe left a first run theatre, but have yet to make it to DVD yet. There are many movies that I don't want to pay full price for, but still want to enjoy the movie theatre experience. This is that place to do it. $2 Tuesdays are a local favorite! The theatre is clean for the most part, I am always surprised by how clean they keep the restrooms, and they appear to do a fantastic job between shows. I've personally never had a problem with left over popcorn or messes by my seat. One of the highlights of this place is that they have Apple Beer on the soda fountain machine. (One of my favorite lesser known beverages) Service is excellent. It's mostly college students I believe, but they really know how to be friendly and helpful when you get there. They have a "no large bag/backpack policy", but I've never felt like I was being suspected of bringing in food. (I did once bring two tacos from Jack-in-the-Box, but that's more a reflection on my taste than my criminal disposition). If you are looking for a night out, maybe consider this place as an inexpensive alternative to Fat Cats or Edwards in Idaho Falls. Note: this applies mostly to people with young children, but during the summer, this place offers a pass for $8 that gets you a child's admission plus two adults for a movie each week. It's usually animated films and children's movies, and only $1.50 for soda and popcorn. GREAT DEAL. read more

NEGATIVES: It's a little messy, small, and you have to wait for new movies to start playing here, but hey, it's a 'cheap theater', whaddya expect? If I'm going to see a movie 90% of the time I'm coming here! They have a very impressive selection of movies and the prices are amazing! I am also impressed by how quickly they get everyone into their movies and how friendly everyone is! I've never had a bad experience here! I only gave them 4 stars though because some of the seats seem like they might need to be checked. They lean too far back, or the cushion is starting to come off. Really though you get what you pay for so I'm not that worried about it. Definitely will keep seeing movies here! Great place!! read more

The workers are amazing. When I asked for extra butter on my popcorn they actually put extra butter on it unlike other theaters. Their prices are amazing too. Something else that is great is that the sales tax is already implemented on the prices. So when you pay $3.50 for a ticket that's what you're paying! It's awesome. Also there's unlimited refills on their well priced large popcorn. This place is the best. read more

On it's own, there's nothing special about this theater. However, when compared to Fat Cats, it's nothing short of incredible. The movies play without problems and you can get two tickets and a large popcorn for less than one ticket at other places. If you have the patience to wait a month or two for new releases then do it. There's no reason to not support this little gem over the competing theater. read more

This is exactly the kind of theatre every town needs! I absolutely adore this little theater. The pricing is outstanding and allows us to easily take our children out for family nights or daddy/mommy dates. We always buy a large refillable popcorn, a soda, and sometimes even a candy. read more

To be expected the movies have typically been out for awhile but you can't pass on the prices or customer service here. It's a great little theater with comfortable but modest seating, reasonable prices for their food, family friendly atmosphere, and decent employees willing to help should you need any. If you're looking to go to the theater alone(or not), at a bargain, and/or to finally see 'that movie' all your friends/family have been talking about this is a good place to go. read more

A great second-run discount movie house! Excellent digital picture and sound. Clean lobby, auditoriums and bathrooms. Friendly and professional staff. Admission and concession prices can't be beat. A few of the auditoriums are long and narrow and in those theatres you'll want to sit a little closer to the screen for the best view. But that is a very minor drawback for an otherwise exceptional second-run movie theatre experience. Highly recommended!! read more

I love this theater. It is the "cheap theater " or second run theater. It's great for those movies that just were not worth the dent in the wallet, or movies that you loved and still want to see in the theaters. They keep the theater well maintained and clean. It's an older theater, so don't expect the arm rests to go up :( other than that I love it. read more
