This is a lovely italian eatery at the Prescott Market, selling soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta, and tasty dishes like lasagna. Ordered dinner here this past Friday evening. Service was standard, and the wait time was reasonable, about ten minutes. I got the salame piccante panini on focaccia, minus the rhubarb. The sandwich was a good size and generously stacked with fresh and delicious ingredients. Particularly, the pecorino cheese with a sharp flavor and the peppery salame stood out. However, with a lack of sauce or condiments in the panini, it was very dry... like "knock-off-2-stars" dry. Luckily, I grabbed some herb ranch from another eatery in the food hall, which allowed for a more enjoyable meal. Seating was plentiful as well. And street parking wasn't too difficult to find a couple blocks away.

Cheese tortellini with 4 Formaggi

Just sat down to dinner at Fatto A Mano and was blown away. The gnocchi was cooked to perfection. Every bite melted in my mouth. The location at the Prescott market is super convenient and has a great community feeling. The corner booth seating was romantic. The service was wonderful as well. I can't wait to try more items from their menu. We had the gnocchi with FdM sauce and tortellini with 4 formaggi. We will definitely be coming back! P.s. the desserts look really good and I will definitely be taking some home.

My half eaten Bolognese, too good, forgot to take a photo.

One of my favorites in the Prescott Food Hall is the pappardelle pasta with bolognese here. Highly recommend.

This spot is a gem on the waters at Jack London Square, and feels like it's in its own private little world. Perfect for romantic occasions, though we also saw what looked like large families gathering for special occasions, like a graduation. We got a burger and ravioli. Everything tasted fresh. I was surprised that there were not that many people here on a Friday night. For ladies wearing heels, just be careful when you cross the wooden bridge leading into the restaurant, and walking up and down the stairs to the bathroom. Great service, beautiful ambience, what a hidden gem!

Mama was recommended to me by a frugal foodie and it did not disappoint!…read more Get there early to secure walk in spots! The Tuna carpaccio was delicious, well balanced, with a perfect portion size. I Could eat three but luckily you won't need to with the three course prix fixe menu. The Sugo is a hug in a bowl. The distinction is a matter of ambition. Mama's sugo is a dependable companion, just as much as it is a well crafted pasta dish. In New Jersey (my ancestral homeland), every town or neighborhood has a place like this. When you need a place to unwind with a glass of wine or treat your family to a fancy pasta with red sauce, this is the place to come. If you happen to be around Lake Merritt, then by all means stop in. I strongly recommend the vegetarian sugo (made with mushrooms). But, if you are coming from elsewhere, it may be just as rewarding to spend time at your own neighborhood's "dependable companion."

So I ordered "Spaghetti with Meaty Marinara and 3 Piece Meatballs" for $15.99. What I received was spaghetti and meatballs, no meaty sauce. The flavor was bland and nothing to rave about. The 3 meatballs were tasty. The pasta was a little dry. Perhaps you should put a scoop of sauce on top of the pasta before you seal the container. Also, they use a foil container, not a microwavable one. The dish itself tastes average, nothing special. For $15.99, you should add extra sauce and add a free dinner roll. If you do a little research, you will find that "901 Marina Village" is the Straw Hat Pizza Restaurant. I don't know if this is a shared kitchen, a ghost kitchen, or just a menu option at Straw hat in Alameda. Would I order again? Nope, not worth $15.99, even with $5.00 off. 901 Marina Village is the Straw Hat Pizza in the Marina Village shopping center. Free parking. Near the Alameda Tube. When it did arrive, I received the completely wrong item. So I called the restaurant, and they seemed to realize before I even finished explaining, because clearly another customer had received my order. I confirmed the item I ordered and they said they'd re-deliver. I live 10-15 min from the restaurant. 35 min later the re-delivered item arrived.... still not correct. I ordered "Bruschetta Chicken Pasta" and there was no bruschetta. The food itself was also pretty mediocre for the price they're charging. My husband was unimpressed with the quality and scant portion of his meatball spaghetti. The portion of my re-delivered item was ok, but the earlier (wrong) item they delivered was a tiny portion, the container barely half full. GrubHub provided a full refund for my Bruschetta Chicken Pasta, at least. Also as others have noted: the restaurant address is actually the address for VJ's Sports Bar, formerly Straw Hat Pizza, so not sure what's going on there... Bottom line: avoid this place.

Basically so much oil that the sauce had separated. It was off-putting. I felt like it was some kind of college student takeout food. Which is fine, just price it accordingly.
