Got my hair cut here and the lady was incredibly rude. I think her name was Misty or something like that. I would ask her for advice on what she thought would be best and she would tell me she didn't have time. I told her to just give me a trim to cut the dead ends off but I liked the style of my cut so I wanted to keep it that style. The bottom layer was okay, then she flipped my hair over my head making me look like cousin It and just cut across at my shoulders. I assumed this was a new way of cutting and I wasn't going to question her technique since she was so rude from the beginning. She flipped my hair back over and said I was good to go. I asked for it to be dried so she ran the blow dryer over my head for about 2 minutes (I have veryyyy long and thick hair) and then shut it off and said her regular was there so she needed to get to them. I got home and finished blow drying my hair to see a major chunk missing from the entire right side of my head!! I'm sure if she hadn't spent so much time gossiping with the other stylists, she would have noticed that she took off a giant chunk. I have had to wait TWO MONTHS before I could get it fixed somewhere else because I didn't want to have to chop it all off above my shoulders. (I have only had short hair once in my entire life and hated it) If I were you I would avoid this place like the PLAGUE!!!! RUN FAST AND HOLD ON TO YOUR MONEY!! read more

I was in Faux real about a month ago (I am not a frequent customer, I have only gone there a couple times), but as I was in there I overheard a conversation between a stylist who I believe is named Sanita and her client, who to me looked like a 15 or 16 year old girl, definitely a young high schooler. Sanita proceeded to express her dislike for colored people as well as the gay community to the girl who, in all honesty, looked completely mortified. This turned me off, completely. Her job is to cut someones hair, not openly express her views. I felt beyond sorry for the girl, and I am almost positive they lost two customers that day. I feel so strongly about this I made a yelp account just to publish this review. I am ashamed to even give this salon one star. read more

I Love my Hair Dresser Sydney has done my hair for the last 5 years. I have to say her moving to Faux Real Hair Design has been the best thing for her and myself. I am the daughter of a hairstylist and have a very high expectation of salons. I was recommended to this salon by a dear friend and had Sydney cut my hair. I needed a new look as I have turned 30 this year and also needed something for summer. Everyone was amazing in the salon and dealt with The 5 children (2-9) I brought in beautifully. Sydney did an amazing job asking what I needed and fullfilling those needs. She did an amazing cut and I'm very, very happy. I'm going back this weekend to get a color job done by her. Considering the fact that I've been to many salons in town and have been unsatisfied by their ability to meet my needs for my hairstyles, I've found my salon home with Sydney and everyone at Faux.
