There was one major difference this time, I was referred to THIS amazing surgeon! The staff, from start to finish and front to back, are perfect. I was so nervous and miserable but after my consultation I felt much more confident. They got my prescriptions sorted out and prepped me for what to expect on the day of my surgery (1 week, a very quick turnaround). The actual surgeon is the BEST medical professional I've ever interacted with. No exaggeration. On the day of my extractions he explained everything that was going to happen and really put my mind at ease. They knocked me out so efficiently I don't remember even feeling funny, I simply woke up with everything done! Leaving, I received a take home kit with all the info I needed, an adorable penguin ice pack to use on my jaw, lip balm to help with dry lips, and a device to spray medicine or saltwater on the extraction sites. They also called the next day to check on my progress. With the promise that I could always call with questions or concerns, our business was concluded. The hygienist was extremely rough even when I am indicating pain. That was another red flag. Then came the expensive treatment plan and request for 50% upfront. That was a big red flag. After reading the reviews here it is clear this is a pattern for them. I will be cancelling my appointment and going out-of-network as my medicare plan with Aetna had very limited options. Yes, now that someone mentioned it, the office manager did remind me of a used car salesman.
