Didn't show up today. I scheduled an appointment to repair my main sewer line after Favinger cleared a clog and found that the sewer line had broken. The appointment was for an arrival time between 8:00am and 10:00am. At 8:15 I received a call saying the plumber was doing a bid but would still be on time. At 10:45 the plumber had not arrived. I called the office and was given no explanation or apology. At that point in the day it was unlikely they would be able to finish the work that day so I called and told them not to bother. Absolutely blown away! Our water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. The guys arrived earlier than I expected (always a good sign), were courteous, and quick to explain the problem and answer my questions. I figured we would have to wait a few days after the initial visit to get the unit replaced but they had brought one with them and were ready to go. Work was done cleanly, quickly and we were literally back to normal less than 24 hours after having noticed the problem (5 hours after we had called them.) Thank you for the fantastic service. I am from a family that owns a few properties near WWU. We have been using another plumbing business for probably 20 years or more. Recently, that business was sold and we felt like maybe we should look around and see what our alternatives were. I have called Favinger for two or three jobs so far, and am extremely impressed. They have excellent people skills, have done great work, and their prices are right what I think a plumber should charge. I'm looking forward to 20 years with Favinger. I grew up knowing of Art Favinger through my Father who developed a long time relationship with him in wholesale plumbing parts for most of my memory... I was also brought up sweating copper fittings and dry fitting drain lines and snaking drains for my Dad and his plumber friends, so I know my basic way around the trap. I will always patronize Favinger plumbing because of the history and the fact that a number of years ago, my sewer line was totally closed off.. They not only came out same day, but went above and beyond the call to install an accessible clean out, manually digging out my front yard to make it right.. Because of the large Oak tree in my yard, it was a guarantee that it was going to happen again.. Two weeks ago, and eight odd years later, it happened again.. You know the drill.. Flush the toilet, and it doesn't drain and the shower drain starts to gurgle.. It's the worst sound you can imagine.. But I knew what I was in for.. Time to buy new towels... I called the friendly folks again, and within a couple of days, they were out this morning, water-jetted the sewer line through their previously installed clean out and helped me with some other items like planning on replacing an elderly water heater.. I want to thank Nick for quickly making things "right" and providing great information as well as future options.. I'm already in for the new water heater as I know they will do it perfectly... Saturday 6:30 am, and the septic system backs up in the downstairs shower. I plunged to no avail. At 7:15 I called Favinger. The house is for sale, and we had a showing scheduled for 10 am. Last Friday, I called my plumber to fix a drip under my kitchen sink. By Wednesday, he still hadn't had time for me. So, at 11:30, I called Favinger. Teagan, their very polite, helpful receptionist advised me that a plumber would arrive between 1:00 and 3:00. At 1:30, she called to say Travis and Cody were on their way. They were very professional and competent. They fixed my drip, adjusted the pop-up sink drain in my bathroom, and inspected the connections for all of my sinks and toilets. They were done in about 20 minutes and presented me with a very reasonable bill. Favinger Plumbing is now my plumber, and I will certainly call them whenever I need a plumber. read more

Had a hot water heater die at a rental. Nick and crew came out to give a quote for replacement and found the floor under it in the utility porch was soft. In the process of repairing the floor, I broke a drain pipe underneath. Called them out for emergency repair and Nick was there in less than 30 minutes and had the drain system better than ever in under an hour. I used Favinger Plumbing last year at one of our rentals and was impressed with the service! Today Favinger Plumbing saved the day!!! Nick and Jordan were the crew they sent... Very professional! They even put plastic covers or their shoes and the other took his off when they entered my house. Found out that the horrible leak under my kitchen sink was my garbage disposal went out... They had a new garbage disposal in the truck.. replaced it and checked my other pipes.. I personally thought it was very reasonable.. My impression of Favinger Plumbing is pretty high. I called Favinger after reading the positive reviews they've received on Google and Yelp! After having called Favinger a few times now, I can certainly understand why. In our situation, my wife and I purchased a home and are having a problem with an odor we perceive in the hot water supply. We are also new to the area. We don't think it's happening in the cold water. The odor is sort of an odd sweet smell. Needless to say we don't like it. When we called Favinger, we got to ultimately speak with one of the owners, Art. Art was kind of enough to chat with me about the issue and brainstorm possible ideas over the phone, but my description baffled him. It's not a typical smell. So much so, Art actually offered to come by our house on his lunch hour for free just so he could try and smell it too. Now, I was out of town, and Art came by and even showed my wife how to adjust the hot water tank. Unfortunately, Art could not perceive the smell we were smelling. But he gave us some suggestions to think about. We aren't sure if this is just a phenomenon of the local water supply, or what, but we are going to continue trying to figure it out. I haven't had a chance to talk with Art since, although I had planned to follow up. Overall, I can't really give anything other than 5 stars. I mean, I don't expect Art will do this for every caller, but just the fact that he did it all for even one customer supports why others took time and gave them 5 stars too. The reality is that a lot of companies just assume they deserve your business when you call, but Favinger goes the extra mile and earns your business. read more
