This is hidden gem. I heard about this place from a good friend of mine to check this place out. I…read morefinally bit the bullet and went. Easy access and off the main road. We went on day that unfortunately was raining; so we time it out when the rain stopped or slowed down. It is nice little restaurant. They mainly offer takeout only. They do have dine in sorta. Is not an inside but a few picnic tables with a cover. The cover is not big enough to block the rain. They have plenty of parking. It is located in small shopping center. As we arrived and walked up. The smell of something delicious brewing! They unfortunately just only accept cash. The menu is conveniently posted on the wall and very easy to read. We just had few people in front of us. I opted for the fried oyster and fried fish (swai) platter. We had to get a shrimp poboy. They are well known for their sandwiches. We also got an order of onion rings and Shrimp Lo Mein. She said our order will take a while. She gave us a buzzer. She advised us we will buzz you when it is ready. We waited in our vehicle. As we paid for it. Just happened a crowd of people showed up. It actually did not take that long to cook. On the way home the smell of deliciousness filled the air. The oyster and fish platter looked amazing and tasty. It came with a small cup of potato salad, roll, cocktail sauce and tartar sauce, hush puppies and a generous amount of crinkle cut fries. The shrimp poboy was large with plenty of large shrimp. It came fully dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles) Large order of onion rings. Order of Shrimp Lo Mein. Very tasty! All were so delicious and amazing! Besides the weather. Recommend making this your next takeout meal.

You can go to Newk's, Subway (two locations), McAlister's, Jimmy John's, or FireHouse Subs. With that much competition nearby, you'd think they would make more of an effort when it comes to customer service. I had a really strange experience here about a year ago when I walked into an empty store and was completely ignored by the people behind the counter for a couple of minutes. Eventually one of them grumbled something about only doing online orders and then went back to what they were doing. I walked out and saw an easy-to-miss sloppily hand written sign taped to one of the windows that said "Online Orders Only" because apparently they had some kind of system issues. They were so rude and dismissive about it that I swore not to go back, and I didn't until this past week. We were having a team meeting that was running over into lunchtime so we decided to DoorDash an order. Seven sandwiches plus drinks and sides totaling about $150. The food came pretty quickly but only because it was so hastily thrown together without any regard to the customer. Nothing in our order was labeled. We could tell the hot and cold stuff apart, obviously, but otherwise we had to open each sandwich and pass them back and forth to figure out what was what. I know at least two people got theirs mixed up. All they had to do was write a number or abbreviation or something on the outer wrap. They also didn't include any napkins in the bag. The worst part, though, is they gave us mostly room temperature bottled drinks. Two of them were cold, but the rest were not. This means they either forgot to load their fridge or just pulled them from inventory. Either way, who wants to drink warm tea or soda? Again, no regard for the customer. To their credit, the sandwiches were actually good. Probably could have had more meat given the price point, but I liked mine. Everything else about the experience sucked and we won't ever make the mistake of ordering from them again when there are literally a half dozen places nearby that do a better job.

The club sub is supposed to have ham and turkey. I don't actually know what meat this was. Roast beef? Pastrami? Beats me! The Italian was made correctly but wasn't that good. They're usually very flavorful. This was not.

I also went with a side of their seasoned fries. Yall. The food was AMAZING. I am so incredibly happy with the experience. The prices were great and above all, the ladies working the truck are friendly and personable. You cannot go wrong with a great meal AND great customer service. My little dog joined me on the trip as well and she loved being able to sit with me at the picnic table while we waited at this cute place. I can't wait to visit again!

Everything was actually good too. The Beaver Nuggets lived up to the hype, especially the sea salted caramel version. The store itself is huge, clean, and honestly kind of impressive the first time you see it. Tons of food options, snacks everywhere, and the whole place runs surprisingly smoothly considering how busy it gets. Staff was friendly, shelves were stocked, and the bathrooms were as clean as everyone says. Definitely more than just a gas station stop. It's basically a road trip experience on its own.

First off, the unleaded fuel was $3.18 when current standard price is about $3.50+. Fuel pumps as far as the eye can see. An amazing sight! As per their usual exacting standards the staff was friendly and helpful. The store was super clean and well organized. The restrooms...Oh My...the restrooms are glorious. They are so nice it almost makes you want to drive from home to take a poop! Now the bad. Being that my amor is an east Texas blue eyed beauty, she and I are more accustomed to a true Texas flavor. Y'all...OMG...it was bad, the food was downright awful. Like spit it out and throw it away awful. My bride got a two-pack of the sausage and jalapeño kolaches. The dough was rubbery and mushy, soft like putty. The sausage was flavorless. She took two bites and said she couldn't do it. I took a bite and spit it out and agreed. I on the other hand, went for the sausage breakfast burrito and a super breakfast burrito. No amount a salsa could make it palatable. The eggs were liquid or powered industrial eggs that resembled curddled cottage cheese. Both ended up in the garbage. A true disservice to Texas heritage and traditions. The Buc-ee is not happy and does not approve. Any value I got out of the fuel I completely threw away it the garbage. PS. Their coffee station rocks. It has about everything your little inner barista desires.
