i went to McAllister's deli Gulfport, MS on creosote rd on 3/31/26. i did an online order bc i was rushed for time. i ordered a mcalist club wrap with chips and unsweet tea. the workers were friendly as usual. didn't get a chance to rat my wrap bc i had to rush back to work. i ate the chips and drank my tea. on my way home, i started to eat my week and kept feeling like i was chewing paper. i took about 3 bites and spit each one out. unwrapped the sandwich and noticed thin paper was intertwined with the meat. i called the store spoke with the manger Leah. informed her of what happened told her that I had my receipt, the sandwich was with me and i also did an online order through the app, so they should be able to see the transaction. Lacy stated that their cheese is wrapped in fine paper and they have 2 new workers in the back whom were training and they probably left it on the items. she said she had to call her gm and speak with her first and if she allowed, could I come back and they remake my wrap and i told her i was heading home, which is in ocean springs, ms and that i only work in Gulfport on Tuesdays and could i come in on Tuesday to have the wrap replaced. She stated they try to rectify the situation the day of but that the mcalister's in ocean springs is owned by the same owner and maybe they could remake the wrap At that locatio. I told her that would be fine. She asked me to hold while she contacted her general manager, Stephanie. I held on the line for a few minutes and Lacy returned. she informed me that the GM said they couldn't do anything about the order bc too many people have made false complaints in the past and there's nothing they could do. i told Lacy this is unacceptabe. i Visit McAllister's often and youre saying this is a false complaint when i have the sandwich present, it's obvious thin paper is wrapped inside of it, you can see where i bit off the paper and filling, and you just told Me you have new workers working in the kitchen and you told me you knew it happened bc you all have and use food items wrapped in thin paper that you use to prepare the meals. I will not patronize McAllister's in Gulfport or Ocean Springs, MS again. i wlll also be sending a letter to their owner and GM. This is terrible business practice. read more

Great front of the house staff all three ladies were very attentive to my party of lunch going folks. The menu keeps expanding and they also are willing to do about any type of special order maneuvering that you you ask for with no eye rolling or attitudes. I had peach lemonade, Chicken Tortilla soup, and half chicken club, but after I paid I saw the brownies and yep had to get a coupe of those as well. I have not been here in a long time. I use to go to the Biloxi location. You know, it seems like this place it is not busy when you drive by. Certain times during the day, this is a very busy. We came at the beginning of lunchtime. Look dead, but after we ordered our food. People began to come in for the lunch rush. I am very glad we came in when we did. We lucked out. It filled up quickly and was slammed. I totally understand why they now have a big location here. This location does a lot of take-out orders too. You are welcome to nice casual atmosphere as you walk in. They offer both booth and table seating. We sat in a table. It is comfortable with little padding on the bottom. Ordered the spud max and sweet tea. They are well known for that. So I had to get it. Got the French dip in a wheat wrap with Lay's BBQ baked chips. And the Reuben sandwich with a small side of potato salad. All was delicious and highly recommend. Not sure about the free WiFi but it looks password protected. Ordered take out from McAlister's Deli for lunch and really enjoyed the Savannah Chopped Salad. It had Grilled chicken, dried cranberries, Gorgonzola, honey roasted almonds, tomatoes and cucumbers. All ingredients were fresh. The chicken was a little fatty in some parts so I didn't like that but it was easy to pick apart and stay away from. But when it arrived, it was delicious and even my super picky kids were happy. Other than the slow arrival of food, service was very friendly and helpful. This trip I opted for their king club sandwich. Picture a club sandwich with double the meat of a regular one and you'll get the picture. I will have to say -- I had super low expectations for our visit while en route to Orange Beach. The McAlisters locations that I visited in Baton Rouge (which has since closed down) were always so slow and sometimes didn't get orders right. This visit was spot on. Boy, were we surprised. The service was ABSOLUTELY excellent. We were greeted with a smile and not rushed. Our group of four received our orders quickly. The food was very good. If you have not tried the vegetarian chili, you are in for a treat -- sooooooo delicious. Only one persons meal was missing something and it was quickly fixed. Also, it was "fun friday" so we received a complimentary basket of nachos ---- woohoo! We also received countless samples of the Cinnabon cheesecake. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived about 20 minutes after ordering and it was still hot AND it was perfect. It's rare for me to write a review for a restaurant after only one experience. However, since I don't plan on going back I thought I would make an exception. The staff was nice enough, the prices for what was served was outrageous and not very tasty but going into the bathroom was an eye opener. Two stalls and 1 was occupied so I used the available one. It wasn't very clean and the toilet when flushed splashed all over the toilet seat, the toilet paper was so low and close to the toilet that getting enough to dry off the seat was fun. No butt gaskets when the bathroom isn't cleaned often is just wrong. When I was finished I went to wash my hands, no soap ggrrrr. Then the other stall door opened and an employee came out with her focus on her phone and she didn't even slow down to consider washing her hands, she just walked out. Nope, nope, nope. No one asked if he needed anything help while his pick up order sat in the pick up station while not ONE employee informed him it was there. Once I made it home my queso was BURNT were I could taste it. My sandwiches had pork (bacon) on them even after we informed the cashier we did NOT want any pork on ANYTHING. This location has nothing but teen employees and immature managers. This place needs a whole new staff with employees that WANT to work and managers who can keep them in line. I will admit, I've had a few problems with McAlister's over the years - so much so that this was one of my first time's back in several years. Let me tell you - they have really stepped it up several notches! I love the management and really find them to be engaged with their staff and on top of things! And the food has gotten a lot better in terms of presentation and taste! The Reuben is huge - a delicious 10 ounces of corned beef! It was juicy and flavorful and the sauerkraut wasn't overpowering either. They also have great potato salad, chicken tortilla and broccoli and cheese soups! It was the regular mayo-y southern potato salad and fine. I probably wouldn't choose it again (just a personal preference, as there was nothing wrong with it). The lemonade was unremarkable and I would not drink it again. But that sandwich was fantastic. And huge. I only finished a little more than half. On my second visit, I had the French Dip and mac and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was definitely more to my liking, but nothing like the kinds I make at home. I was the only customer in the restaurant, and I passed by three tables that were cleared, but not wiped, before I found a clean place to eat. I called to see why our order hadn't even been placed yet and the young guy said that they had been busy but assured me that he was placing it right then. I gave it another 30 minutes just to make sure and I called back just too get the rudest manager that I've ever had the pleasure to deal with!! I understand at this time everyone is on edge but in saying that I too was stuck at work and just trying to make the best of it. Hence why I ordered lunch to begin with.
