French Dip (wheat wrap) with lay's baked bbq chips served with a pickle spear
    Allan P.

I have not been here in a long time. I use to go to the Biloxi location. You know, it seems like this place it is not busy when you drive by. Certain times during the day, this is a very busy. We came at the beginning of lunchtime. Look dead, but after we ordered our food. People began to come in for the lunch rush. I am very glad we came in when we did. We lucked out. It filled up quickly and was slammed. I totally understand why they now have a big location here. This location does a lot of take-out orders too. You are welcome to nice casual atmosphere as you walk in. They offer both booth and table seating. We sat in a table. It is comfortable with little padding on the bottom. Ordered the spud max and sweet tea. They are well known for that. So I had to get it. Got the French dip in a wheat wrap with Lay's BBQ baked chips. And the Reuben sandwich with a small side of potato salad. All was delicious and highly recommend. Not sure about the free WiFi but it looks password protected. They don't offer military discount but if you are an AARP member, they do with a coupon. No mask required.

Ordered take out from McAlister's Deli for lunch and really enjoyed the Savannah Chopped Salad. It had Grilled chicken, dried cranberries, Gorgonzola, honey roasted almonds, tomatoes and cucumbers. All ingredients were fresh. The chicken was a little fatty in some parts so I didn't like that but it was easy to pick apart and stay away from. The Sherry Shallot dressing is what was suggested and it was a bit overpowering for me so next time I would choose another dressing. Overall the greens were fresh and I enjoyed!

I've been eating at this location for many years. The food experience had always been good. What are they known for? Chili. Sweet tea - of which I have consumed many gallons when I worked here as a field geologist, and grilled sandwiches. The main thing that has changed is me. I don't drink all of that sugar anymore! Whatever you get, expect quality ingredients and tasty food. However, I am withholding a star because of cleanliness. The tables were covered in old food and I watched several customers try to clean tables so they could sit.

Was looking for a place to use the restroom and order a "quick" bite to eat. Bathroom was okay. Had tissue, soap and paper towel. Stood in line. 2 customers in front of me and it took approximately 5 mins before it was my time to order. Ordering was easy. Prices were reasonable ($8.49 for pick two and $2.49 for an Arnold Palmer). Now the fun begins... waited at least 20 mins for my potato and Caesar salad. Five workers in the kitchen and 3 cashiers. I anxiously watched the workers in the kitchen as they slowly walked around preparing food. There was no sense of urgency. Finally received my food and was satisfied with the portions and taste. The wait time just took forever and maybe it was a training issue?

Want fast, reasonably priced food, but don't want traditional fast food? If so, McAlister's should be on your list. My first introduction to McA was at a work meeting. They catered our meeting and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. This trip was the traditional don't want fast food, but want something reasonable and fast lunch. I had just left the nearby outlet mall where I New tennis shoes. This location was very close and easy to get to. Inside the restaurant is much larger than most fast food places. Ordering was done at the counter and I was given a number. It did seem to take a while for the food to arrive based on how few people were there. But when it arrived, it was delicious and even my super picky kids were happy. Other than the slow arrival of food, service was very friendly and helpful. This trip I opted for their king club sandwich. Picture a club sandwich with double the meat of a regular one and you'll get the picture. Instead of mayo there was a mild honey mustard that really complimented the deli meat and bacon. Yum. So if you're in the port o gulf and need a sandwich, check out McAlister's.

Veggie Spud and Veggie chili - so delicious

I will have to say -- I had super low expectations for our visit while en route to Orange Beach. The McAlisters locations that I visited in Baton Rouge (which has since closed down) were always so slow and sometimes didn't get orders right. This visit was spot on. Boy, were we surprised. The service was ABSOLUTELY excellent. We were greeted with a smile and not rushed. Our group of four received our orders quickly. The food was very good. If you have not tried the vegetarian chili, you are in for a treat -- sooooooo delicious. Only one persons meal was missing something and it was quickly fixed. Also, it was "fun friday" so we received a complimentary basket of nachos ---- woohoo! We also received countless samples of the Cinnabon cheesecake. My baked potato was also very good and everyone loved their sandwiches. Overall, it was such a wonderful visit and we plan to return on our next trip through Gulfport. Great job guys.

I haven never been inside.. I started ordering from them during COVID. They have the best tortilla soup I've ever had. They also have a great jalapeño turkey crunch sandwich. I keep ordering the same thing because it's so good! My son gets the same thing!

I had the half chef salad and half vegetable soup and they both were delicious!!! I absolutely loved the salad! I always forget how good their food is here but need to make a point of coming here more often!

Good food but a little pricey for the portion. Don't like the fact that u can't get fries and they only give chips with your sandwich.

Mostly everyone was getting it to go. Now I understand why, being it was weekday lunch time rush. A lot of locals and local businesses were getting their food for lunch. I thought it was going to be a long wait. However, many people said they already ordered a must picking up. We mentioned it was our first time. Was curious what to get. In honor of the restaurant name and was hungry. They recommended the monster sandwich with provolone cheese over mayonnaise and Cajun mustard. They will dress it up as wish (customized your condiments and toppings) . To round out your meal. They offer either a fountain drinks, bottle drinks, small bag of chips, and a cookie if you desire also. Great area. Plenty of seats. With a picnic tables. If you are a chess player. You can go to Newk's, Subway (two locations), McAlister's, Jimmy John's, or FireHouse Subs. With that much competition nearby, you'd think they would make more of an effort when it comes to customer service. I had a really strange experience here about a year ago when I walked into an empty store and was completely ignored by the people behind the counter for a couple of minutes. Eventually one of them grumbled something about only doing online orders and then went back to what they were doing. I walked out and saw an easy-to-miss sloppily hand written sign taped to one of the windows that said "Online Orders Only" because apparently they had some kind of system issues. They were so rude and dismissive about it that I swore not to go back, and I didn't until this past week. We were having a team meeting that was running over into lunchtime so we decided to DoorDash an order. Seven sandwiches plus drinks and sides totaling about $150. The food came pretty quickly but only because it was so hastily thrown together without any regard to the customer. Nothing in our order was labeled. We could tell the hot and cold stuff apart, obviously, but otherwise we had to open each sandwich and pass them back and forth to figure out what was what. I know at least two people got theirs mixed up. All they had to do was write a number or abbreviation or something on the outer wrap. They also didn't include any napkins in the bag. The worst part, though, is they gave us mostly room temperature bottled drinks. Two of them were cold, but the rest were not. This means they either forgot to load their fridge or just pulled them from inventory. Either way, who wants to drink warm tea or soda? Again, no regard for the customer. To their credit, the sandwiches were actually good. Probably could have had more meat given the price point, but I liked mine. Everything else about the experience sucked and we won't ever make the mistake of ordering from them again when there are literally a half dozen places nearby that do a better job.

So, all the sudden got a craving for it. This is at Beach View Casino off highway 90 near downtown Gulfport. One thing I love about this place. The southern casino is smoke free as the one north side is smoking. Both are adjoining by a crosswalk above the highway. So you need not worry about traffic or the weather. This has plenty of parking in the front. Do not be discouraged by when you go and the parking lot is full. They do offer parking garage nearby on the Southeast or the parking garage and parking lot on the North side. They do offer valet service on the North end for sure. I was not able to confirm valet service for Beach View tho. Just have to walk on over via crosswalk to Beach View instead of Island View on the North side. As you walk up to the front. You are greeted by a friendly staff and security that will guide you to the escalator or elevator to the second floor of the hotel and casino. When you arrive. The casino opens up to various restaurants, casino floor, live entertainment above the bar depending on what day you attend, and the hotel lobby is not far. If you are not familiar with the area. The friendly staff will guide you through. I know it can be overwhelming. Especially with the many cafes, restaurants, and bars. This particular restaurant was in the second floor past the hotel lobby. We were quickly greeted by an amazing staff and the hostess was able to grab a table for us. This is a casual dining experience. Easy access for the disabled. The tables are arranged by booth and chairs combination against the wall and regular tables and chairs in the middle. In my opinion, I do recommend going for a regular table with chairs. The booth combo is interesting setup. Booth seats against the wall has padding on both bottom and back for you. As for the seats are just hardwood with no padding. I did not sit in those personally but noticed a lot of people were asking for a regular table. She was able to sit us in a regular table and chairs. It is no couch, very comfortable, but boasts plenty of padding on top and bottom for your dining experience. Amanda was our server. She was the best! She quickly took our drinks order and asked if we like to start off with something delicious. We told her it has been a while and quickly noticed they offered a daily special. We told her we were on the wrong day. Oops Kidding aside, all looks great and overwhelming. She was able to point out a few dishes and what she was able to accommodate our unique food requests. It was Thursday, so I got the daily special of Blacken Chicken Strips over vegetables. With a choice of gumbo or salad. I opted for the delicious seafood gumbo. We also ordered the shrimp poboy. She asked if we liked it dressed(lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayonnaise) ? Also comes with a side of fries. We both washed it down with a some fresh brewed sweet tea. Amanda asked if we like something from the bar. We asked if they would be available as virgin. Unfortunately they were not. Drink responsibly. If you are feeling under the weather. They will see if they have any available rooms or gladly offer to get a ride. She also mentioned that the daily specials will change time to time. So they may not be the same when you return. They were able to bring out the seafood gumbo first. It was delicious and but temperature hot. It did have a little bit of a kick. But not too overpowering. If you want more spice in your life. They offer hot sauce and black pepper at the table for your convenience. However, they provided a small amount of oyster crackers. Amanda mentioned that if I needed more, just ask. They brought out the main course. Let me just say, look fabulous! Definitely tell it was fresh from the kitchen. You can still see the steam from it and smell the amazing food as they brought it to the table. The food was delicious. The blacken chicken was very flavorful and you can definitely taste the spices they used. The shrimp they used for the shrimp poboy was wonderful size. I was not expecting that. Honestly, I thought it would be smaller. That's a good thing. I am glad. No Wi-Fi in the restaurant as you can easily connect to the casino free WiFi. They do not offer a military discount. However, you maybe able to receive discount or promotion with your players? Give they a chance or come back to get reacquainted with this amazing restaurant.
