The people at JC Auto Body Repair did lousey work on my vehicle. The details are too lengthy to mention. Alas Ricardo lies, take liberties with doing work on your vehicle that hasn't been cleared with the owner beforehand. He tries to gas light you when you try to discuss with him why you are not satisfied with the substandard work that they have done on your vehicle. They painted over chips on the old paint and advised me not to take my car through the carwash, something that wasn't a problem prior to JC's touching it! Currently rust , that was never on my car before , is coming through the paint job that they did on the hood. All said and done I'd never return to them, even with a "warranty". The insurance company has given me the ok to have their work redone, but I'm having a difficult time finding a dealership that's willing to go behind JC's and redo their work because of unseen issues/risks that they may run into.

During that encounter, I will NEVER forget how disrespectfully he spoke to his mother who was at the counter helping him run his business. After moving back to Houston and desperately looking for a trustworthy TDi mechanic, I decided to give him another try. It was a huge mistake. Mysteriously, Mike and team said my car had an issue with the immobilizer and would not run. I happen to know quite a bit about these cars. So I played along, waiting for Mike to fix the "issue" with the car. Days of waiting for them to get the work done became weeks. And weeks became months. Frustrated, I found reputable people online who repair the clusters from these cars. They go on to tell me that Mike is lying because the year and model of my car make what he claims the issue to be impossible. I called literally every week for an update and got the same answer "Mike isn't around, can I take a message?" Never did I get a call back. Never did I get a reply to my emails. So, after six months I had the car towed across Houston to another shop, and intentionally didn't tell them about what Mike had said. A few hours after it was towed there they call me and we're very confused. The shop owner literally said "there's nothing wrong with this car." He programmed the keys (which I could have done myself) and it ran perfectly. There was and is no issue with the immobilizer. There is and was no issue with the speedometer cluster. I've now been driving it for about a year without a single problem. Mike is dishonest. The guy who answers the phone for Mike and lies for him is dishonest. And, who talks to their mother that way? 2008 and I'll never forget what I saw from a grown man on that day. I was warned, and now you have been, too. Let me clarify a few things here just so there's nothing left for interpretation. As the business owner states I did not "finally" pick up my vehicle. You never fixed my vehicle. You never answered or returned my calls You never replied to my emails (photos of which I'll upload here for future prospective customers to see). If you didn't reply all you have to do is post those photos.... But you never did. So, after you failing to be able to program keys to a car, again something I've done myself to VW's, another shop did it in under an hour. You just didn't care and you made no effort to communicate with me at all. Ever.

Poor workmanship, not trustworthy, slow. When I took the car…read morefor an estimate, shop owner Jesus "Jesse" Vega pointed out a kink in the frame that needed to be straightened.  I had not noticed that kink and was glad that an expert eye was able to glance at the car and see what needed to be done.  The agreed work, as discussed, included: * replacing the rear door on the driver side as well as the corresponding quarter panel. * straighten/pull the kinked section of the frame in the deck frame machine and straighten/align other parts of the body as needed, i.e., right rear door/quarter panel and trunk. * paint worked sections. When I went to check on the car after 4 weeks in the shop (it was promised to be ready in 2 weeks), Mr. Vega resorted to what can be considered as some type of coercion by requiring $200 more to finish the job. When I finally got the car back after 6 weeks the work on the left rear door and quarter panel finish was just "OK" but the finished work on the right rear door/quarter panel and trunk were simply horrible and poorly/partially done (see pictures).  Worse yet, the kink in the frame was not straightened !

I returned to your establishment to address the issue, and you re-did the catalytic converter -- which suggested there was a problem with the first job. Now, a year later, I'm still experiencing the same issue. Multiple independent shops have confirmed that the catalytic converter currently installed is the same one I originally paid to have replaced. Despite all the money I've spent, I'm back to square one with the same unresolved problem. When I returned to your shop again to request accountability, I was turned away and told you would no longer help me. That's not how professional, ethical businesses operate. Customers deserve work that lasts -- or at the very least, honesty and support when problems arise due to substandard service. At this point, I feel taken advantage of. I trusted your expertise and paid in good faith. I am now considering further action, including filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, state consumer protection agencies, and leaving public reviews to warn others. They wouldn't give the keys back to my car, until I paid $1855 for them (essentially for doing 0 repairs). Since I've moved back to the Heights downtown area, I decided to give them another shot. So close to five stars! I utilized the valet service where they pick up my vehicle, do the oil change, they did a great job as well change the air filter, wipers, etc. that was a 5 star experience! That was an easy five star review for that service. It did an amazing job. I was out of town for three days so they picked up my vehicle. Did all the test and maintenance and everything like that and I come back on my vehicles at my valet. That was super convenient and very nice. I will always utilize that service. However, there was a bit of a scheduling issue. They forgot to pick it up Monday so I had to give him a call, but they got it taken care of that wasn't a big deal. I just kind of falls back to fundamentals if you have an appointment scheduled and sit pick the car up that way there's no confusion and I would have to call to make it happen. They brought the vehicle back and there was like oil stains on the front fender area. Typically most oil change companies cover that that way when you get the car back, it's not dirty. The problem is I just gotta wash at Mister car wash so I had to go take a bath and get it washed again. This is why I give them four stars instead of five. Other than that, it was a great experience. Customer service is great. The convenience of the valet service to pick up and drop off back at my valet. I can't tell you that right there is top-notch service. I'll give them a try again and probably change this to a five star because overall the experience was great.

A lawsuit has been file for destroying my convertible top they bent the frame on both sides. And refuse to pay for damages the top was work and up when I dropped the car off. When I went to pick the car up the top was down and jammed. Recorded conversation with stated he pull on the top and bent it. Also the person working on the car quit, moments before I told him I was picking the car up.
