"Daytona" V-8, to new Acura, to multiple minivans and my current Porsche. Their integrity and quality work have been second to NONE! They are ALWAYS timely, accurate, and FAIR! I have NEVER had them misdiagnose a problem requiring a return visit! Had my current Porsche into a dealership and received a quote in the range of $7k for a list of services. Went to Bear Creek for a 2nd opinion (have I mentioned how much I trust this team?) and they took care of needed repairs and maintenance for about $500. I read the ONE disparaging review here and cannot imagine what this reviewer describes. It goes completely against my thirty years of experience. John Radisi has been the owner/manager of this team for the entirety of this time and he is the most wonderful and trustworthy businessman I've ever had the pleasure to work with. When you first visit this shop, you will find it difficult to identify, as their sign was destroyed years ago in one of our gulf hurricanes. At one point I walked out of waiting room and there was a lady there and she asked if I needed any help and had been waited on. After I told her my truck was already in the back, she asked if I needed anything or If something was wrong. Very tentative and customer service oriented there. They got done with my truck. I paid and while at the register, I asked if my locks had been put back in glove compartment. They said they would check and before they could a young man came from back and said I forgot these and handed to me. I noticed a wet spot under my truck and mentioned it to the young man checking me out and he came outside and crawled under my truck looked and confirmed it was water and not from my truck. While there I asked how the balance on the tires went he went and check with the crew and said it went well. He was such a big help and friendly from the moment I walked into the business. My first experience here is outstanding, i will be returning for my next oil change. One last item, the waiting room is the best. Comfortable chairs and a coffee bar. Outstanding. Yesterday I tempted fate because on the last time I'd been out of the house to drive anywhere -- a…read moreweek ago or more -- my car's dashboard electrical system warning light had come on. I was hoping it was just a dying battery, since I have jumper cables, and that I could get this errand completed even if I had to beg a jump-start from some stranger. Alas, it was not the battery, but the alternator, which had failed -- meaning no more juice was going into the battery, and my car therefore went completely dead about 10 minutes from my destination. But I coasted to a stop -- with the engine dead, no power steering, no dashboard lights at all -- into the parking lot of Deerfield Auto Repair & Kwik Kar. Owner Joe Fallin and his capable staff promptly diagnosed my problem and gave me a fair estimate. They replaced my alternator and battery both (never keep an old battery with a new alternator!) within the estimated time, about three hours, and hosted me in the meantime in a clean and well-appointed waiting room (easy to maintain pandemic-driven social distancing). Friendly, competent, honest, diligent -- fate delivered me into good hands, and I'm happy to recommend them to anyone.

They could have made another $200 on the job, but instead chose to lose thousands of dollars in future business from a longtime customer. Their work has always been decent, but there are plenty of mechanics who do equally good work for comparable prices. I purchased a 2024 Chevy Corvette, but after only about 200 miles, I decided to bring it back to…read morethe dealership to trade it in. Instead of working with me, I was basically told "you're out of luck." The offer they gave me was $15,000 less than what I had just paid for the vehicle and they claimed it was the best they could do. I ended up going to Doggett Ford, where they immediately stepped up. Not only did they treat me with respect, but they offered $13,000 more for the Corvette than Lone Star did. On top of that, they put together an incredible deal for me on a Ford Expedition Tremor. The difference in professionalism and customer care was night and day. Unfortunately, the problems with Lone Star didn't stop there. I also purchased a 2022 Chevy truck from them that had some minor bed damage. Lone Star told me they wouldn't even consider repairing it. Since it was meant to be a work truck, I decided not to push the issue because everything else appeared to function properly at the time. They also convinced me to purchase one of their extended warranties, which turned out to be essentially worthless. Only two weeks after leaving the lot, the truck's sensors stopped working and the rear camera began malfunctioning. When I brought the truck in expecting them to stand behind what they sold me, I was instead told I needed to pay a $300 diagnostic fee just to have them look at it. To make matters worse, employees in the service department and even some people from new car sales openly admitted that the used car department frequently pushes these warranties because they add commission, even though the warranties cover almost nothing. At that point, I had completely lost confidence in the dealership. Once again, Doggett Ford came through. They offered me more money for the truck to help get me out of the situation and put me into a more reliable vehicle with a lower monthly payment. It's honestly disappointing to see what has happened to Lone Star. The dealership used to have a reputation for taking care of customers and doing business the right way. Unfortunately, since Sonic Automotive took over, the place feels like the fast-food version of a car dealership, rushed, transactional, and focused on squeezing every dollar instead of building long-term relationships. After years of loyalty, this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope they eventually return to the level of customer service they used to be known for.
