She tasted the sherbet a 9/10 because she forgot to order sprinkles (definitely customer error). You order at the front counter and they have a large menu of ice cream in cups, cones, shakes and Sundays as well as coney dogs, sodas and walking tacos among other items. I chose a pineapple lemonade but they had an array of flavors. The pineapple lemonade was lemonade with a pineapple puree topping that had to be mixed in. Even after mixing I didn't get much pineapple flavor but the puree did make it's way through the straw from time to time. After ordering you pick up your order at the back counter. The music was quite loud, although I do enjoy jazz. One scoop of sherbet in a cup and a 16oz flavored lemonade was just under $12 so not really a great deal but we had time to kill and I promised ice cream if she left the play area without a total meltdown.

The owners personally showed us around, explained their packaged box deals, and treated us to samples of heavenly strawberry cake and bold, aromatic spice blends. It's rare to get this kind of personal service, and knowing these recipes come straight from a family tradition makes it even more special. Very good. Platter- Chicken Shawarma, rice, pita bread, choice of side (lentil soup)- $10.95 Chicken- Not so good. A bit dry and bland. Rice- good, but just plain long grain ethnic rice. The rice and chicken could have used some more flavoring. The dish was only rice and chicken. No vegetables at all which I would have liked. Given a large helping of rice. Lentil Soup- choice of side, soup of the day- Very good. Spiced with curry. Pita bread- Very good. Freshly made and warm. Only given a half of a piece though. Service- It seemed only one lady was doing everything; cooking and serving. She forgot to bring out a hot tea that was ordered. She forgot to bring us out our pita bread that came with the platters. Men's bathroom- Out of paper towels to dry hands so had to use toilet paper to dry my hands. Out of soap in the soap dispenser. Sink is held up with pieces of wood. Tile piece tore off the wall. A gob of toilet paper is stuck to the ceiling that somebody threw up there when it was wet and it has since dried. This place used to be called Lazeeza and it has just recently (August 2011) changed it's name to Silwadi.
