Very cute place . Stopped here for lunch with my daughter and granddaughter. Ate out on the patio in the back which is very casual but nice. They had a couple of small enclosures that you could reserve . My daughter and granddaughter split a chicken panini which they said was good and I had the Caesar salad also very good and large . We visited twice since our last visit and both times were amazing. On our brunch visit we had to try the chorizo burrito again and once again it was delicious. The loco moco was also good and the coconut scone was perfect. We ended up ordering the bottle for mimosas which is a great deal, especially for a group. Also stopped in for dinner and started with incredible cocktails. The passion fruit mojito was our absolute favorite. Our table ordered the chicken sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. So much flavor! The whole experience here is like going over to a friend's house with fun music and delicious food. Very casual and relaxed. There is a ton to choose from on the menu. They do breakfast, brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and tea service. They also have all kinds of fun cocktails and tea flavor infusions. I think the traditional latin american items are the way to go here. Empanadas and tostones were soooo good. Both were served with fresh homemade cilantro based sauces. The veggie gyro sandwich had lots of nice fresh veggies, but it was drowning in dressing so the sandwich was pretty soggy. It was definitely overshadowed by the french fries. Extra crispy and dusted with some kind of magical seasoning (flavor everywhere!). They are doing something unique to Columbus and I am so glad they are here. read more

I joined two close friends on a busy Saturday afternoon for lunch. This is a very charming place with a touch of eclectic thrown in (Tarot cards on the table and Burlesque events this month). We were warmly greeted and told with complete honesty that it would be a wait not only for a seat (25 minutes that was more like 15) but also for food. The kitchen had fallen behind that day. For us, it was no problem since we were catching up with friends and time was not a concern. If time is a concern I recommend you be up front with the team there so you are not disappointed. Moving on to the food and drink options. There are several veggie options and a wide variety of brunch / lunch options as well. I was impressed by both the drink and food menu given the size of the restaurant. Some creative alcoholic and non-alcoholic options that all looked wonderful. I opted for the signature artisan blend of Hibiscus, Oranges & all those berries / black tea. It was very flavorful and I loved the color and flavor. I did not add sweetener. the serving size perfect and it was served in a cute tea set (see picture). One of my friends got the Mimosa flight and I tried it. Very good! I personally liked the butterfly pea flower lavender. My other friend ordered a Peach Smash and I thought it was on point with the flavors of peach and apricot. Our food was also very good. I originally ordered a black bean burger but unfortunately they were out of them so i opted for a Veggies Gyro. The gyro was a little heavy on the dressing and light on the non-lettuce veggies; however, the fries were TO DIE FOR. Order the fries! I had brunch Sunday morning in the back lawn of this new place that was formerly Benito's, a great local pizza joint owned by a cool lady named Liz. The staff here is so very nice and they were working hard. Given they are newly opened, I did not expect perfection and they do have a few kinks to work out. They have a multitude of teas and a handful of alcoholic brunch beverages. I chose the Blackberry Basil Smash (with bourbon). It came out in a tall cocktail glass but unfortunately was not properly mixed or muddled. I needed a spoon to mix it up the best I could. The basil was floating on top and the first sip was all bourbon. After I stirred, I could then taste the blackberry & basil. Good drink. I didn't see the Mimosa Flights on the menu until after I ordered. This would be a good selection for next time. I ordered Huevos a la Dominicana as my entree. Delicious! Perfectly cooked eggs that went well with the rice & beans, avocado and plantains. I cleaned my plate. I was not inside, but the interior photos look amazing. Came here for brunch. Small restaurant off the beaten path in Old Town Hilliard. Very nicely decorated and looks like it has a good patio (didn't try it on January!). Service was attentive and polite without being intrusive. Brunch was delicious - I had the vegetable frittata. Lots of vegetables, eggs, and cheese - cooked properly (not runny, not dry) and a side of turkey sausage. Also had tea and a muffin - both were very nice. Also, we have no problem bringing guests here because they have amazing meat and seafood offerings as well. We fell in love with this couple and their teas. At the worthington farm market. All of their items have Dominican Republic and Bolivian influences. It is so unique, you have to try it. They offer carry out but if you come in, be ready for the experience, it is not a get in.Get out kind of place. The teas add such an amazing uniqueness to cocktails. Mimosas, hot toddies. The back patio is actually a descent size, which is great considering there isn't much space inside this small, what was originally, house; it has changed hands as restaurant iterations a few times before the current owner purchased the space. The Franklin county fair ground a very close, so this is a good brunching/lunching/diner stop before/after getting your fair fix. When I got here just after 11 on a Sunday, the inside tables were all occupied, but luckily there were no patrons eating outback, so our group of 17 people were able to claim that area. The biggest bummer was staff not having enough employees working during the Sunday rush. We had one young gentleman covering all of us, so EVERYTHING took way longer. Their brunch menu goes until something like 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, but don't quote me. The menu here is streamlined with the tea experience being the treat. My Huevos a la Dominicana was very good. The egg yolks were oozy just how I asked, and all the main component flavors worked harmoniously. I also got their Butterfly Pea Flower latte, which was very good! A heads up: Gratuity is added to groups of 6+. Good breakfast. Yes, staffing needs to be figured out, but I'm also attributing the odd influx to it being their opening weekend and the Franklin County fair just started the day before, so I'll chalk it up to that. read more

The food was good, the service was TERRIBLE. I have NEVER experienced service this bad. 1) Waitress got our tea order, immediately forgot it, had to get it again. 2) When she never came back, we had to go inside to let them know we wanted to order food. 3) We had to ask the person who brought us the food if we could get more water 4) When the waitress finally brought out the tea, they were already so over steeped we had to add water. 5) After asking for cream and sugar (so we could drink the over steeped tea) and never getting it, we had to go inside to ask for it. 6) Trays did not come with plates to put food on, so we had to use our teacup saucers as plates. 7) Had to get up and ask for more water. 8) Had to go inside and ask for the check after it was clear it wasn't going to be brought out. 9) It honestly felt like they sat us outside and forgot we were there, as we were never checked in on and we kept having to go inside to make sure we got the things we needed. It was AWFUL. We tried hard to remain polite, but our blood pressure was certainly up and we had to decompress after leaving. read more

We attended the grand opening, not expecting much but hoping for the best. Since it was a Thursday, parking in the area was a mess due to the summer concert series in that part of town. Luckily, this place is in a walkable neighborhood, so we found a spot a street away. There was hustle and bustle and lots of activity. I would say it is wheelchair accessible since there were no steps and the walkways were open and wide inside. We didn't check out the restroom though. There were 5 areas for seating, which included 3 patios to choose from. That's cool! Or hot. Depends on where the sun is. They let us pick our own seats. We were promptly greeted, given water and menus, then orders taken. Drinks took a little bit of time but that is to be expected since they are hand crafted. We had the tamarind and ginger tea, butterfly lavender flower lemonade and Mamajuana mule. Each were so unique and refreshing. For our meals, we had the veggie panini, chicken panini, and chimichurri burger. My veggie panini, upon reflection, was missing the red onion, peppers, zuchini, pickles, and tomatoes. So I had a cauliflower and lettuce and pesto panini. It was very good but now I'm sad it didn't have all the other things. But I guess it wasn't needed to make a great sandwich. They loved the other two sandwiches and devoured the fries. Everything was so great and we will definably be back. I can't wait to try brunch. The location being in Hilliard is a perfect halfway point for me and my Grove City friends. read more

What an amazing place!! We've come here for brunch twice now and very much enjoyed their drinks; like the passion fruit mojito, Chinola margarita, and their colonial tea. The food was super tasty and well presented. We had the avocado toast, Cinnamon french toast, their huevos a la dominicana, Chimichurri sliders, empanadas, and a lamb dish that was advertised as a daily special, which was just outstanding! Wish I had taken pictures the first time we were there. We sat outside both times. It was nice and comfortable, and the eclectic music selection created an enjoyable and relaxed vibe. I want to do two reviews: one for food and one for service. FOOD: - we've been twice and good is pretty darned good. Interesting dishes that are well prepared. It's a nice alternative to have in Hilliard. The food is real close to 5-stars. SERVICE: first visit: let me say simply - as bad as it gets which makes me sad to say. Nice young servers but who were totally confused and untrained. Second visit: much better but far from great. Sadly the word about this new restaurant in Hilliard is out - namely that the service is poor. I believe the owners are working on this so I suggest locals give them another try. It's worth being part of their training program to have access to their interesting, well-done menu. I leaned right based on the food to a 4-star rating. They are located where a long-time "dive bar" was and it still carries some of that flavor. They need to decide who they are and wish to be. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is super cool. Brunch on a Saturday with a group of five. Reservations were easy to make and we had a great table waiting upon arrival. There were many tables filled but We had no problem carrying on conversation at our table. The tea service was a little disappointing - it was served on a tray with a cute tea cup and saucer and an individual pots of the selected tea. However I had to ask for sweetener which ended up being a bowl of sugar cubes and packets of Splenda. There was no honey or cream offer so I was a little bummed about that. Amazing food! We got the cinnamon French toast and breakfast burrito. The food looked so good it didn't last long enough for pictures. The French toasts was perfectly cooked, gooey in the middle and caramelized on the outside, the syrup was tasty, and the caramelized fruit is a wonderful touch that adds lots of flavor. The burrito was a great size, the chorizo was a nice mild spice level but very flavorful, and the cheese was perfect. We sat on the patio which was cute and full of lovely plants. Our server was very sweet and service was so quick! Prices were also very reasonable. We will definitely be back soon! I was disappointed because I love tea parties and was really looking forward to having the 3 tiered Afternoon Tea listed on the website and menu. My friend and I came one afternoon and I tried to order the Afternoon Tea. The server looked kind of confused. Then, the server said that you have to call ahead to get the Afternoon Tea. It doesn't say this on the website. The menu makes it look like it is a regular menu item. And, the table next to us had the Afternoon Tea. I did not even realize the restaurant took reservations because it makes no mention of this on the website. I wish they would make it clear on the website that the Afternoon Tea and Bohemian Breakfast Tea have to be preordered and maybe they could have a way to order this on-line so you don't have to call. Besides this disappointment, the restaurant was really good and staff were nice. Just seemed odd for a restaurant with "tea" in its name to not have Afternoon Tea in the middle of the afternoon. Wife and I stopped in for Friday brunch on 7/5/24. The owners have imaginatively transformed the old Benito's pizza joint into a fresh, quaint, and relaxing little eatery. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming and lends itself to being a balm to the soul. Kudos for the subdued, but eclectic selection of music, which doesn't interfere with conversation. I opted for the buttermilk waffle with bacon on the side. The waffle was flavorful without leaving you feeling stuffed. The bacon was generous in portion size and cooked perfectly. The syrup was just right; not overly sweet. My wife had the avocado toast, which garnered two thumbs up. All around the portion size did not disappoint. We looked over the dinner menu and are planning on a return visit. The only negative about the restaurant is the gargantuan TV tuned to a sports channel. I'm a sports fan, particularly a football fan, but this is one of those oasis where you want to escape the vapid assault that chain restaurants foist on its patrons with unnecessary TV.
