Feast is a cute little market shop that serves a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups. Their food is made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. In addition to food, there is a market with a nice selection of gourmet cheeses, oils, wines, etc. My favorite sandwich is the Prosciutto & Mozzarella.

A nice local spot with sandwiches, local groceries and wine. We stopped here for a quick lunch on a road trip. I ordered the tuna salad and also tried their molasses cookie and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. My sandwich was good and flavorful, but nothing special. The molasses cookie was yummy and my oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was ok. One of my friends got the fried chicken sandwich and noticed the middle of it seemed raw, so we sent it back. The staff was accommodating and gave him a new one which was helpful.

Met a friend here for lunch. There are tables for sitting down and eating inside the building and outside of the shop area; however, I didn't think it was that nice. I tried the Half Chicken Cheddar Fig Panini and Tomato Coconut & Kale Soup, and the Pho-Rench Dip sandwich. The sandwiches were good. The Chicken Cheddar Fig Panini was tasty. The Tomato Coconut & Kale Soup was hearty and good for a cold day. Being Vietnamese and growing up with a lot of good Vietnamese food in Northern Virginia, I was skeptical of the Pho-Rench Dip Sandwich. However, I was pleasantly surprised. As a standalone dish, it worked well. The broth paired nicely with the sandwich. I wouldn't compare the experience of eating it, or the broth, to a good bowl of pho, but I liked the unique idea and taste. Overall, I enjoyed the sandwiches and soups at Feast. I love that everything is local here. The price is a little on the high end for relatively small portions of soups and sandwiches compared to other options in the area, but it's understandable given the times.

Updating for COVID. They still have a great food selection, especially cheese and meats. Great pre-made items like meatballs. But with COVID you order online at https://www.feastvirginia.com/groceries Then they text you when it's ready to go. Reply with make and color of your car and they will take it out to you in the parking lot. Pickup is 10am to 230pm. They also do local deliveries and FedEx out of area.

Was on my way to Bath County when I decided to stop for lunch. Tired of fast food joints I wanted to try a local deli. I purchased the Turkey, Brie & Cranberry on ABC bread, Asian Cucumber Salad and a local Honey & Mint green tea. The food was very flavorful and delicious; however, the sandwich was a bit sparse on ingredients hence only four stars. For an $11 sandwich, it should have contained a bit more. Amazingly fresh and worth going out of the way for. I'll definitely come back someday.

This is a shop as well as a cafe that prepares lunch foods such as soups, sandwiches, salads, etc. and does catering as well. I had never been here but I found it on Yelp and decided since my husband and I love lunch type foods as well as gourmet cafes we would be sure to love it. We placed out order on a mobile phone and proceeded to pick our food up. It was really busy when we got there, we didn't even go inside because they brought the food out to us which was nice. We decided to eat our meals at a local park. I ordered the chicken, cheddar, fig sandwich which was probably to worst part of both of our meals. The sandwich was a half size portion that came with soup as a lunch meal. I'm not a fan of jams and sweet spreads on my deli meats so I asked to have it without. I was very surprised once we arrived to the park and opened my sandwich. It was extremely small, there was a tiny square of cheese (think lunchable sized), and one piece of folded over chicken meat. The bread was even hard so I just really gave up. The soup was good and tasted like you would expect from a broccoli cheddar. Downside to this was there were no cutlery provided so I did drink it out of the cup which really wasn't a big deal. My husband ordered the full sized sandwich which was a play on a French dip and he really liked it. He said he wished the meat portion would have been comparable to other sandwich shops we visit for lunch. Overall it was ok. There are many options for lunch in Charlottesville and I will probably continue visiting other options for lunch in the area.

I don't know how I haven't come across this place in all the time I've been in Charlottesville. It may be because of some limited lunch hours, so definitely take note of their hours! They have so many options it was hard to choose! So we settled on the local, the chicken fig, and the pho sandwich. We ordered on the phone and our order was promptly ready. They texted me when it was ready, and I responded with my vehicle type. The sandwiches are normal size. My friend liked them all, and favored the local. I second that opinion. The pho sandwich really does taste like pho on a sandwich which was good but different. The chicken fig was delicious but a bit on the sweet side. We both loved the local and that's it. The side fruit salad was nothing to rave about, it was watery and a bit on the soggy side :/ Overall great sandwiches though!

This sandwich is from Feast! on Main Street. It is the Pho-Rench dip ($10) and full of flavor. The beef is sliced super thin to mimic beef in pho and it is topped with a spicy siracha mayo, fresh cilantro and to follow up on the French dip and pho play, it is served with a pho broth to dip your sandwich in. The bread is super crusty on the outside and soft in the middle. This place is definitely one of my favorite lunch spots. Plus they offer a lot more than lunch, there is also a store with premade meals and specialty items. Could be a fun place to select items for a gift basket.

Such a cute shop serving up quality sandwiches. A huge plus is that they have their own private parking lot, especially being located on busy Main St. They carry a nice selection of wines, cheeses, and other miscellaneous items. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly. The prices were a bit steep for the size of the sandwiches, especially compared to other local sandwich shoppes. The chicken in the fried chicken melt was DELICIOUS - crispy, flavorful, and definitely tasted fresh fried. The turkey, brie, cranberry panini was yummy but left me wanting a little more. They have a lot of other sandwich options that sounded good, so I'd love to come back again and try those out!

Epic (locally sources) yumminess! We took a roadtrip up to C'ville, and stopped here for lunch. It's in the the Main Street Market complex, so we had a plethora of choices. Everything sounded pretty good, but we were under a time crunch so we opted for sandwiches. read more

I've only bought cheese here, but their selection is impressive and delicious! However, it's disappointing that they have almost no cheeses for less than $30 a pound. That's just way too expensive for anything other than a rare treat. read more

I love this place!! Awesome customer service... Such helpful staff and great finds for foodies. We brought back many goodies from here: olive oil, their white bean salad, a bunch of cheeses (their chocolate goat cheese was out of this world). We also had lunch here and their salads and sandwiches are wonderful!! We will be repeat customers next time we are in Charlottesville! read more

First off, it is not a sit down place. You follow the stanchion and place your order in a tight fitting 1 lane isle where you cannot see the black board of choices. Then you go through a tighter isle, of samples that people are coughing on, to find a register and stamp the receipt to prove you paid. You stand around in a lobby of tables, hoping one vacates from the loitering coffee drinkers. They call your name when your plate is ready and literally pass you a 6" plate (I have a sandwich with side salad). No option for drinks or napkins are provided, just your plate. This was grossly overpriced for the small focaccia bread sandwich and the side salad could fit in my hand. Very disappointing considering you are in a pen of people. Read the menu on line if you seriously want to order what you'd like. Once you're in line, there's no going back. read more

If you're willing to spend a little money, Feast makes a fantastic lunch. Everything I've tried has been fresh and flavorful and the salad portions are pretty generous. I'd say it's worth the few extra dollars since all the ingredients are produced locally. read more

The grilled cheese with onion spread is amazing. Samples galore. Good, casual food. A smidgen pricey ($18 for 2 sandwiches and 2 lemonades). Free but limited parking. FYI- order your food under the big menu, pick up your drinks and other items, then pay for everything at the cashier. read more

Feast! is more than just an amazing lunch spot. The sandwiches, salads and daily soups can speak for themselves--made with local ingredients, they never fail to impress! Not to mention, Feast! is the authority on local cheeses--their selection is unreal. The white bean salad is worth the trip alone, but if you do stop by Feast! give yourself time to wander around and explore all the goodies. read more

I see a lot of positive reviews, but my expensive salad was skimpy to say the least. A thimble of dressing did not cover 1/8 of it. It looked quickly thrown together and a little teaspoon of capers, olives and feta really made this disappointing read more

My gentleman had a birthday recently and I wanted to order something special that could be delivered to his work place. I came upon Feast's website in the process of looking for deliverable edibles. Wow, what a great decision. The day after I placed the order, my gentleman was the recipient of the "Wine Country Hamper - Gourmet Picnic" and it was full to the brim with a variety of delectable treats: cured meats, local cheeses, house-made crostini, gourmet cheeses and so much more. Absolutely a delight. Couldn't have enjoyed it more. Made for a very special meal. read more

The go to lunch spot on Main Street. This deli is located within a market with other restaurants that is within a boutique grocery store. I highly recommend getting a soup and sandwich combination but salads are also offered. Ingredients were paired surprisingly well that were curious at first. Turkey with jam and black beans with coconut were creations I could not have the creativity to conjure. If more is what you desire then the convenience of grabbing something else is the deli is a unique accoutrement. The quality of the bread also stood out and there is the option of having your sandwich warm. Great and exciting combinations await at feast and was a pleasant surprise to the palate for such an occasion. Thanks! read more

This market has really great quality ingredients and they welcome sampling. So that's all good with me. We were looking for food to take on a picnic later that day so I ordered a delicious panini loaded with melty brie, turkey and cranberry chutney. Yummo! My husband went with an Italian sandwich. Also delicious, but it couldn't compete with the amazingness of this panini. I think the quality of brie really elevated it. The market sells lots of fancy goodies; cheeses, meats, spices, candies, drinks etc... I'd come back again. read more

This place is a gem. It's a great place to pop in for lunch, or to do a little grocery shopping for a special event. They have some great dips and sauces--and I love how they usually have samples out in the store so you can try before you buy. I always recommend this to newbies in C'ville as one of my favorite places in town. read more

Yum yum yum yum! Stopped by for a quick lunch during the week. The place was packed, so after we ordered we meandered around the deli section to try all the amazing samples. There was so many and they were all delicious! I may have gotten a little lost in there because they had to call our name a few times to let us know our food was ready for pick up. I ordered the prosciutto and moz sandwich on GLUTEN FREE BREAD (which was moist and did not fall apart) and the delicious white bean salad. All of our sandwiches were very tasty. The ingredients are fresh, but I kinda wish I got more prosciutto (mainly because this is like my favorite meat). While the meal was quite good, at the end I was satisfied but not full. Amazing!!!!!! I decided to check this place out for lunch today while in town for a nearby conference. I ordered the 1/2 turkey, brie, cranberry sandwich and 1/2 Cobb salad with balsamic vinaigarette dressing. It was sooooooo good. The food was fresh and flavorful and the staff was extremely personable. After lunch I immediately went into the market and sampled and purchased a few of their goodies to take home with me! The pepper jelly is great and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is a great way to finish your meal. This place is definitely a must try! read more

My family and I went here during spring break and it was absolutely wonderful. This restaurant had amazing service as well as amazing food. Feast invites you to take as many samples as you please, and the samples are amazing as can be. Their latest products are on display. The food is healthy and tasty, and with wonderful service and food, you can't go wrong with Feast. read more

Really great sandwich shop tucked inside a marketplace. The food here is a little on the pricey side, but everything tasted very fresh and filling. The sides are really small - I got the fruit and it was maybe about 6 little pieces. The market shop is great though, there are lots of samples to try while you're waiting for your sandwich to be made. There's a good amount of indoor seating as well! read more

Loved it! Had the chicken caesar panini - sliced chicken, parmesan cheese, caesar dressing and romaine on focaccia with a side salad (love the dressing they serve on the side) and a nice cold limeaide. What a great gem this place is. I also love how you can walk around the store while your food is being prepared and enjoy lots of free samples which are all delicious. read more

I just wish I found this place sooner! The market has all the cheese/wine/bread/dips your organic/locally grown heart could desire. All the sandwiches at the cafe sound amazing and there are plenty of vegetarian options. I actually got two sandwiches (one for there and one to-go) and both were delicious! The Local was my favorite. The grilled cisbatta added a great crunch to an already great sandwich. The Hummus and Feta was very good as well but after having the Local, the whole wheat bread just couldn't compare to the ciabatta. The white bean salad was yummy and more flavorful than I expected. The only thing that was disappointing was the to-go fruit cups were about half the size of the bowls they serve when you eat there (sad because I really love fruit). Still this place was AMAZING. I want to try everything on the menu. read more

This is one of the most amazing stores I've ever been to in my life! They are so generous with their samples... incredible meats and even more incredible cheeses. I have to be careful not to fill myself up before ordering my extra even more incredible meal afterwards. Whenever friends come in from out of town this is the spot I suggest. Great selection of deli-style meats, cheeses, and other fancy treats. It really is absurdly expensive though - their prosciutto is the most expensive I've seen, anywhere. If you have the disposable income, dispose of it here. read more

It was interesting and very tasty. You can try various items in store. I had the turkey cranberry panini. Was amazing. Only bad thing the dinner area is like a walking hallway. It's crowded, loud, and distracting if you are trying to have a conversation. Otherwise was great. read more

Best charcuterie in Cville. As a former New Yorker who misses his Italian deli counters, this is the best place for thin sliced mortadella, salami, and cheeses. Also a great cheese counter with helpful staff for making selections. And a good place to grab lunch salads/sandwiches, as there are plenty of seats indoors and outdoors. read more

Great for sandwiches for lunch. Out of the ordinary things like ham with plum marmalade on ciabatta. Sometimes the condiments can be a little too liberally applied and overwhelm the other ingredients. Good sides like white bean salad. read more

Fantastic food. I was so excited to go in an get a sandwich for lunch and pick up a sandwich and soup for later. It ended up being $28 for the three items. Unfortunately, I left my bag on one of the tables in their eating area and was told when I returned five minutes later that they had thrown it away. I was a little (very) disappointed that they discarded a bag of untouched Togo food so quickly and didn't offer anything when I was clearly bummed. I probably won't go back for a while even though I live right next door. read more

One of my favorite lunch places in town. I had one of the best sandwiches ever the chicken salad melt is delicious. It comes with choice of salad and I chose the white bean which was yummy. As it is also a gourmet shop you can nosh before you eat! Win win!!!! Absolutely worth a trip! read more

Fantastic! I had the prosciutto and fig panini with arugula and goat cheese, and the white bean salad side. To drink, I had the limeade. Everything was totally great, and sitting outside was quite nice. I am totally glad that I went here. Service was quick. read more

Perfect sandwiches and salads for lunch. Their ingredients are all local and super healthy, and the prices aren't too high for a typical lunch. The store had a ton of different exotic foods to choose from and everything was made to order. The onsite parking lot was nice too, given the limited parking in the area. read more

Just went for the first time and sandwiches are great!! Got the ham and goat cheese which was delicious. High end fresh ingredients that you couldn't buy at food lion set this place apart from the dozens of mediocre sandwich shops (cough, cough bagbys) near the downtown mall. read more

My husband and I stopped for lunch here during a short stay in Charlottesville. I had the turkey, brie and cranberry panini and it was wonderful (anything with brie is wonderful, after all!), but I wished the cranberry spread wasn't as sweet. Regardless, it was still very good. The hubby enjoyed his tuna melt. The items in the market/deli section of the store looked a little on the expensive side, but from what I could tell, they were mostly local and organic, and I for one think that that's usually worth paying a little bit more for. I'd definitely consider coming back here the next time I'm in Charlottesville. read more

What a great grocery and deli. My mom and I stopped in to eat lunch at Feast because my mom works at Bequet Confections and Feast sells their caramels. We enjoyed browsing their selection of carefully chosen grocery items and ate a wonderful lunch; I had bahn mi and my mom had a fig panini (both delicious!). We liked Feast so much that we returned later in the day after our visit to Monticello in order to buy some made in Virginia foods to take home from our vacation. read more

They go above and beyond to help out - last time, the worker even gave me a see-through container for my sandwich since I had mentioned I would be taking it on an airplane and she wanted to make my trip through TSA smoother. It's usually pretty busy inside, but there's always a lot to see and it never feels too hectic, so it's one of my favorite places to stop by when I can.

Because the donut was kinda dense, I decided to only eat half cause I didn't wanna feel so heavy. Half was enough tho and I ate the other half the next day. I would 100% order more subs from there. My daughter loves and introduced us. So with UVA move-in inexperienced a new store and was impressed. They offer nearby surface parking, but at peak times it's challenging. The lot is a bit tight and weekends congested. All good though and no debris. My Saturday experience on a UVA move-in would not be typical. So in my opinion it really tested them. It was crazy full, but still stocked. The staff was working hard to ensure customers had the products they needed. Many of the staff i encountered said hello and was working hard! Although Trader Joe's stores are smaller than traditional types of groceries like say Kroger they pack a ton into their space. TJ's is best known for their frozen foods and there has not been a single item I have been disappointed with. However like any product from Trader Joe's if you are not saturated shied bring it back for a refund, just keep the container and receipt. Checkout was smooth and cashier friendly. Bring your own bags and save some. My daughter will be a regular.

Feast! has the best cheese selection in town. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The sandwiches are really good and come with a choice of sides. The roast beef and swiss panini with scallion mayo and spinach is tasty and the baguette is fresh and perfect. I got the fruit salad as a side and the serving was generous with lots of variety. You order at the kitchen window and then pay at the same register for groceries. I was confused by this at first but appreciate that the folks preparing the food do not touch the money.
