For being such a small place this little market really packs a punch! Nicest people, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, and delicious food!! Great to-go meals for dinner and nice local beer and wine selection. We've had many of their sandwiches and they're all good. The Breakfast biscuit sandwiches, deli side salads, and jumbo-sized pastries are always spot on.

Such a cute little place to stop in the mountains! It's not a general store, it's more of a sandwich shop.

This place is good. But way over priced. I would eat there much more often if it didn't cost so much. But definitely delicious!

Slow service, unless you're on a first name basis with the owner. Not well organized. Bread is usually extremely hard

With local wine, beef and homemade entrees in their case and always a smile on their faces, look no further than the intersection of Free Union and Garth.

I went with their whole sub deal where you get a whole sub for $8.49 which came to $9.16 after tax. On my sub I got turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, Mayo and salt and pepper on whole wheat bread. This thing was MASSIVE. The picture I posted is only half of the sub. I had been wanting turkey all day and the taste did not disappoint. Ate half then had the other half the next day. For a sweet treat I went for one of their donuts. I got the chocolate cake donut with a thick chocolate glaze. Or maybe it was a chocolate sauce? Not sure. So the donut itself was a bit dry. Needed some milk which I didn't have but oh well. The chocolate topping was delicious. I ate the dry bottom part first so that I could taste more of the topping which worked out beautifully. Because the donut was kinda dense, I decided to only eat half cause I didn't wanna feel so heavy. Half was enough tho and I ate the other half the next day. I would 100% order more subs from there. They're delicious, HUGE and you get what you pay for. The donut.....I'd probably try a different flavor.

My daughter loves and introduced us. So with UVA move-in inexperienced a new store and was impressed. They offer nearby surface parking, but at peak times it's challenging. The lot is a bit tight and weekends congested. All good though and no debris. My Saturday experience on a UVA move-in would not be typical. So in my opinion it really tested them. It was crazy full, but still stocked. The staff was working hard to ensure customers had the products they needed. Many of the staff i encountered said hello and was working hard! Although Trader Joe's stores are smaller than traditional types of groceries like say Kroger they pack a ton into their space. TJ's is best known for their frozen foods and there has not been a single item I have been disappointed with. However like any product from Trader Joe's if you are not saturated shied bring it back for a refund, just keep the container and receipt. Checkout was smooth and cashier friendly. Bring your own bags and save some. My daughter will be a regular.

We usually purchase 6 bottles of wine at a time and the box is really heavy. The check out people are always SO nice and this time our check out asked if we needed help and called for a sweet young woman - HEATHER - to help us to our car. HEATHER walked with us and easily lifted that heavy box and stowed it in our trunk - and she was so SWEET about it. I asked her name and wanted to especially thank her for helping us with something neither I (85) or my husband (92) could not do ourselves! Now we can enjoy an evening glass on her!! We are very grateful to HEATHER and to the whole helpful staff at Trader Joe's - we love TJs!! Annie and Mack Rowe, Madison, Va.
