Really glad I found Morning Crane. This was honestly one of those places I didn't even realize I…read morehad been looking for until I experienced it. It's in a cute upstairs space in downtown Willow Glen, and the second you walk in it just feels peaceful. It has a calming atmosphere that makes you slow down for a minute. I went in for an evaluation because I've been dealing with some pretty intense foot and ankle pain. Christine spent time asking questions and really trying to understand what my body has been through instead of jumping straight into treatment. I appreciated that she looked at everything as a whole rather than just focusing on where it hurt. She scanned my body and also performed fire cupping where it made sense. I left feeling so much better than when I walked in. I also know this probably isn't a one-visit fix, and I actually appreciated that there weren't any unrealistic promises--just a plan to help my body continue healing. If you're looking for a more holistic approach to caring for your body, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. I'll absolutely be back.

It was my first time seeing Christine, and she was kind about me being tardy. We did an intake session and then she used the short time we had left (due to me being late) for a massage. Christine first focused on my shoulders and neck where I hold pain. She incorporated stretches into the deep tissue massage. I had a heat lamp on my feet to warm them and relaxing music played overhead. I relaxed in no time. Next she massaged my face and jawline, reminding me occasionally to breathe deeply. It felt wonderful. I had a mild migraine when we started and it was gone when we were done. Christine is very personable and well educated in holistic healing practices. I'm looking forward to returning and also plan to look into her qigong classes.

When I decided to see if qi gong would enhance the initial stirrings of chi from these other martial arts, I started taking classes at the Longevity center. I have to say that Arnold Tayim is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He has enormous knowledge, is highly articulate, and perhaps what distinguishes him the most is his eagerness to share that knowledge. Many of the traditional martial arts teachers, especially from Asia, have a semi macho tendency to dole out learnings slowly, insisting that students pay their dues for long periods before getting another snippet of learning. Arnold unabashedly draws from a huge array of information, from many teachers and disciplines, and communicates them very clearly, patiently, and always taking time throughout class to pause for questions (which students freely raise, allowing for a highly interactive discussion.). He even encourages students to record his verbal walkthrough of qi gong exercises so we have his guiding voice when we practice at home. I look forward to years of learning from such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor.

It's amazing to experience first hand how one can create, scatter, gather, and manipulate energy, for one's betterment. Sifu Arnold is an excellent and very clear instructor who really makes sure that students are imbibing the concepts and the practice itself. He shares handouts, reviews the previous weeks' practices and slowly builds into more complex practices. He is patient, engaging and also fosters a sense of community. This class is great for anyone in the healing field who seeks to learn how to manage energy on a very minute level, as well as anyone seeking to understand how to leverage his/her energy in its optimal form.

There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.

I had the pleasure to work with Cathryn and Yun Hee and they both helped me a lot in my journey to get pregnant again.  I finally got pregnant early this year! I can't say for sure that acupuncture helped me conceive entirely or it was just a major coincidence, but it did help me de-stress, relax, and have an hour to myself of peace and quiet.  I highly recommend Lokahi Acupuncture for all your fertility needs or just to de-stress in general! Both Cathryn and Yun Hee are amazing acupuncturists, especially Yun Hee since I saw her all of this year throughout my pregnancy and postpartum.

His holistic approach is very different from typical training, and it has made a huge difference for me. I began my personal training journey with Coach Michael back in March 2023 - well over a year now…read more I came in with a number of issues - high work stress (having all kinds of impact on sleep, blood pressure and mental health) , knee injury from athletic overuse without proper conditioning, muscular imbalances. As a young mom with a busy day job, a very important factor for me was flexibility and an ability to motivate me to keep going when there are a million things all of which feel important. For context, prior to my pregnancy a few years back (from a gush of youthful energy), I had completed a 100km biking ride back to back after I completed training for a half marathon without sufficient focus on core or glute strengthening and recovery techniques. I pushed through these events through sheer will power resulting in a knee injury that had plagued me since. Though I wanted to return to running, there was a niggling concern that I may have to live with this. After turning to multiple medical approaches for all of these and returning empty handed / unsatisfied, I finally felt at home with the mindful techniques Coach taught me. They were simple yet effective and holistic. He guided both physical and mental aspects of training teaching me to be more patient and gracious with my body, using calming methods to engage my parasympathetic system and reduce stress using Qigong techniques. His knowledge of musculature / observations helps him identify exactly what nuanced changes must be done in well known exercises which make it incredibly effective. Over this span of time, with his guidance I have become more physically attune to my body and mind, which in turns is helpful in all aspects of life.
