The confirmation email I received listed only the appointment time, address, and parking information -- it contained no mention of any consultation fee. On the day of the visit I was charged $750. When I questioned the amount, I was told that was the correct fee based on our prior conversation. I left the experience feeling the consultation fee had not been clearly or accurately disclosed in advance. The office itself also raised concerns. There was no secretary or front-desk staff, and the space is shared with a beauty salon, chiropractic office, and other services. All communication was handled directly by the doctor. The lack of transparent pricing has left me with no choice but to file a claim in small claims court to resolve the matter.

Some of my issues were related to each other and were the result of lifestyle issues such as sitting for hours daily in the same position while hunched over and not being physically active, in which case Dennis would do hands-on work to help reset my body and give me exercises to help bring the inactive muscles back to proper function and strength. Others were individual injuries for which I was given exercises to help with rehabilitation, which effectively functioned as physical therapy. Dennis knows what he's doing, because the issues are always resolved as long as I put in the work to change my lifestyle and do the exercises. Issues that Dennis has addressed include inactive and weak core, lower back pain, walking posture, hip movement and foot placement, left shoulder injury, right rotator cuff injury, running mechanics and foot placement, hip flexor limited range of motion, a separate issue with hip flexor instability, inactive glute and quad overworking, and foot arch cramping. As you can probably tell, I am over 30 years old, and my body keeps reminding me about it. In terms of customer experience, Dennis always takes a few minutes to gather information on what sort of pain and discomfort is happening and communicates very professionally on what to expect during the session. As we do hands-on work, he asks for feedback often and adjusting accordingly. I previously had a highly unsuccessful surgery at a major pain clinic (Stanford). That procedure was done with no sedation, was torture-like, and ultimately failed to reach the nerve. Anthem/Blue Cross deemed that my patient responsibility was only .63 cents, so the insurance company sent a payment to Allied in the amount of $3,793.67 in December 2024 and now Allied's patient services/billing department refuses to refund my credit card for this amount. Not only did Allied keep my money, but they are also pocketing money from Anthem, which has been deemed fraudulent by Anthem and they are now engaging in an investigation into Allied. Save yourself the emotional turmoil and run arounds, and just go elsewhere. Hard lesson learned on my part. EDIT: Anthem/Blue Cross' Grievances Department just mailed the attached letter on January 10, 2025 stating that I am due a refund of $3,793.67 and my financial responsibility is $.63 cents. The continued denial by Allied that "no monies" are owed to me is baffling. This company will indeed engage in fraudulent activity.
