Super anxiety ridden I called a few times with questions, they were great about answering my questions, getting back to me and never made me feel like a burden. He has super legit credentials from Sharp hospital. I went to his practice in La Mesa. He is beyond personable and does an excellent job of creating a safe space and comfortable environment for patients. He explores all options of treatments and gives solid recommendations as well as explains each option for treatment before recommending or scheduling any procedure. Most doctors are in a hurry to get you in and out, but he really wants you to understand your options. Love this about him! He genuinely cares about his patients and love what he does and it shows. His office staff are super kind and patient. They keep you informed and do a great job of communicating. I really appreciated that. How Mary manages all the patients with a positive attitude, coordinates everything, works in the Operating room and remembers everyone by name is beyond me. In reading the other reviews I was a little shocked to hear about the negative comments of others. Unfortunately people only tend to leave reviews when they have negative experiences, (hence the blank profiles with a total of 5 reviews - all negatively blasting businesses) but I was beyond blown away at the care and personalized patient experience I received from Dr. Dickinson and his staff. Also please keep in mind due to HIPPA and patients privacy I highly doubt Dr. Dickinson and his staff come on here to tell their side of those negative reviews and instead maintain their integrity and keeping patient confidentiality, again demonstrating another one of his remarkable qualities. Also, really not fair to doctors who have their businesses on yelp. Nonetheless, I think it's safe to say you're in the hands of someone who cares and is qualified. I would recommend him to anyone, family or friend.

Her experience was one of the most frustrating and disappointing interactions with a physician that our family has ever encountered. Dr. Spearing's bedside manner was consistently poor. He often seemed dismissive of concerns, unwilling to listen, and lacking in basic follow-through. One of the most unbelievable and recurring issues was his habit of leaving the exam room, saying he would return, and then never coming back. This happened so frequently that my mother eventually addressed it directly during an appointment. As he was preparing to leave the room, she told him that he had a habit of saying he would come back and then never returning. His response was, "I promise, promise I'll be right back." He then walked out and never came back. My mother was absolutely stunned. To have that happen immediately after it was brought to his attention was both shocking and incredibly unprofessional. Another incident that raised serious concerns involved blood work. My mother specifically asked about her blood sugar results and was told everything was fine. She later discovered that her blood sugar had not even been tested. Learning that he had provided reassurance about something that apparently had not been checked completely eroded our confidence in the care being provided. There also seemed to be constant turnover among the nursing staff. Nearly every appointment involved a different nurse, making it difficult to establish any consistency or continuity of care. Patients deserve a physician who listens, communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and treats people with respect. Unfortunately, that was not my mother's experience. She frequently left appointments feeling dismissed, frustrated, and unheard. Based on what our family experienced, I would not recommend Dr. Spearing to anyone seeking attentive, patient-centered medical care.

Finally after a few months of waiting he received the referral. He then needed referrals for an MRI and this was also yet another instance of incompetence. Also, there is a sanitizer machine upon walking in the door . It was nice to see that because the one sanitizer I usually bring in my purse was gone. This Sharp Urgent Care clinic seems to be a good place to help their patients as they always do what is necessary to help the patients I do want to say the waiting room needs to be fairly quiet for people who are waiting patiently for their family members . There is this Mother with her daughter who is talking so loud the entire place could hear . I feel someone needs to remind patients if they need to talk loud, they can simply walk outside. It's just rude when the people who do that do not care about other's peace of mind. Again, talk outside because no one will have to listen to them speaking loudly about their personal lives. I hope in the future the front staff can remind people to keep it quiet as there are others here who relish peace and quiet.

Some staff, including office managers ware very rude and insolent and refused to explain why they did NOT call back when I left messages with concerns. Waiting times were outrageous, up to 60-90 minutes. HIPPA violations. Always training "new" people, but office staff were very rude and try to control you when you are describing a problem. Never again. Consider State Medical Board complaint. I see the patterns and still no results on my SSA Disability form done over 12 months ago. Nothing good to say about this doctor and certain staff members. I'm handicapped and they refused to do TeleHealth video or telephonic calls due to injuries I have and handicapped with constant Pain. Officer managers & STaff are inconsiderate of a patient's Pain, waiting times driving & Parking considerations, or economic status and other HEalth issues for a Diabetic person with Kidney stones. Just a "pill pusher" and I was NOT even told a medication was stopped. I had to call up to complain. Communication skills are the worst when you consider their mistakes.
