I am here with my Mother who is also accompanied by my Dad for her to be looked at medically. In any case, this Urgent Care seems to be kept clean which is nice to see . Also, there is a sanitizer machine upon walking in the door . It was nice to see that because the one sanitizer I usually bring in my purse was gone. This Sharp Urgent Care clinic seems to be a good place to help their patients as they always do what is necessary to help the patients I do want to say the waiting room needs to be fairly quiet for people who are waiting patiently for their family members . There is this Mother with her daughter who is talking so loud the entire place could hear . I feel someone needs to remind patients if they need to talk loud, they can simply walk outside. It's just rude when the people who do that do not care about other's peace of mind. Again, talk outside because no one will have to listen to them speaking loudly about their personal lives. I hope in the future the front staff can remind people to keep it quiet as there are others here who relish peace and quiet. read more

I have had numerous visits for Urgent Care over the years at Santee, Grossmont and Downtown Sharp Urgent Care's and every visit was 5 Stars! The reception and registration staff are always efficient, friendly and empathetic. The nurses and doctors are great as they make sure you are comfortable while you are waiting and the skill of the doctors in dealing with so many medical needs is truly incredible. I was shocked to see that the average for reviews and I have to believe that are many expert complainers in that average who can never be satisfied judging from my repeated great experiences. The convenience of having a great medical staff in a beautiful comfortable clinic with x-rays, scans and laboratory and knowing how long waits are at various clinics to avoid long waits is great! read more

Best of the Rees- Stealy offices. Ample parking and the staff are helpful and friendly. They'll tell you if the wait in urgent care is reasonable or not and even suggest going to a different site if it makes sense and has a shorter wait. read more

Dr. Nicholas Ward is one of the most thorough and intelligent doctors I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. From start to finish, he took the time to really listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions without rushing, and helped ease my anxiety. He went above and beyond to make sure I was checked for everything necessary before being safely discharged home. I left feeling confident and well cared for--a true testament to the consistently high standard of care Sharp Healthcare is known for. I also want to recognize my amazing nurses, Teresa P. and Larissa P.--they were phenomenal! I didn't feel a thing during my IV insertion or blood draw, which is a first for me. Both had such calming and comforting energy, and their bedside manner was top-notch. Lastly, a huge thank you to Hallie and Karina R. at the front desk. After waiting an hour, only five patients have been seen, with 10 more waiting to be seen Before me. Then was told there's still two more hours of wait time to be seen, definitely understaffed and lack of effort or compassion from staff. Went in for a few complains from the 7yo. Called prior about the wait time and cost. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful, even called up to pediatrics to see what their costs were and if they had appointments available. When we arrived, we were helped at the front desk within five minutes, back into a room within 40 minutes during the busy time, paid remaining balance and got prescription before the one hour was up. New Sharp building on Cuyamaca St, I like that their facility is clean, modern and that staff is friendly. Doctors and nurses go above and beyond in addressing care. I like that they can also run lab work. I feel my health is in good hands and that they genuinely care for my well being. I went to urgent care with sore throat, cough,unable to speak, phlegm and nasal congestion. Dr. Stephanie Yen saw me, didn't check lymph nodes, no testing for COVID or flu, didn't listen to my lungs. I have documented asthma. I've have intermittent wheezing and using an inhaler as well. I was told that nothing is wrong with me even though I've had these symptoms over 10 days. The doctor only glanced at my chart. Then, asked if I had been talking a lot and I said no more than usual. I was told to rest my voice for 2 days which means I won't be able to work. I work in a crisis center, I'm on the phone all day long and am unable to do my job. Then she gave me a doctor's note for today only 2/17/26 off. Even though, I was told rest my voice for 2 days. I really don't need a doctors note my work knows I'm sick hence being unable to speak. What a joke, the kicker is I paid $75 dollars to tell me there is nothing wrong and waited for over 3 hours. I question the throughness of Dr. Stephanie Yen and don't feel I got the highest quality of care. I feel like the doctor is out of touch with what I came to the urgent care for. I feel like I was hurried out, my exam was lacking throughhness and am questioning the care I received. I feel like I was dismissed because the doctor was in a hurry. Next time will make a same day appointment with my PCP. I will go to a different urgent care in the future. By the way I'm a registered nurse and know my care was substandard. read more

I would rate this facility a 0 if I could. I waited for 4 hours and when the doctor finally came in, she didn't introduce herself, felt my lump, and left within 2 minutes. She disregarded my pain and concern and said it'd be fine. She gave no pointers as to how to care for it or how to treat it. I don't even know her name because she never introduced herself. Avoid any facility that has the name Sharp on it! This is a money hungry institution. Urgent care will transfer you to emergency room at Sharp Memorial Hospital and start racking up the charges. When they are done, they will send you the bill and are very demanding that you pay now. Top executives are laughing all the way as their bank accounts swell. 1 star for how pretty this urgent care is Another star for the girl who checked me in Now the guy who called me in and walked me to the room *Not the friendliest, I don't want to be here either *I asked for water, and he repeated my request in a very dry, tired tone is the nicest way I can describe it. Gets the cup of water, puts it on the rolling tray and pushes the tray towards me. *after I've been waiting in the room for a bit 30m or so, I peep my head out and wait for acknowledgment; the person at the counter asked me a question, I can't remember what exactly the question was, but I replied I just wanna make sure nobody forgot about me. She then replied No, the doctor is seeing someone ahead of you. It was the tone for me. * 1 more star because the Dr was friendly and cheerful. Great listener. Gave me options on my ailments. Be I will only return to this facility if it's the very last option I have. Other wise I will just stick to going to the Chula Vista location even if I have to wait hours. First time here, after throwing out my back at work, doctor came in and pulled my body forward not giving any mind that MY BACK IS IN MAJOR PAIN, causing me to have more excruciating pain, and than looked at me like a weirdo after. I guess no one really cared that it took me forever to wobble my way into the facility, and forever just to get into a wheel chair, and then I could barely get into the doctor bed, and he just comes whipping me around. Super lame. Next visit was for my 8 year old son. They must have forgotten to put our name in our something because after 8 people came in and were seen prior to my son, I asked why this was and the receptionist looked like something was wrong. Then she said that it was taking long because my son is showing covid symptoms. Well why did 8 others go before him. Then they got it moving along after. We waiting three hours. Everyone else was almost immediate. I don't even write reviews typically but the two times here were stupid annoying. Just wanted to note that. Horrible experience twice in a row. Our family will not be returning for another visit here. Always goes to show that the medical field is just a job to these folks. Same crappy service you get everywhere, except I am never understanding how people get into the medical field with that mentality. I have very little respect for hospital staff when it comes to this kind of stuff. I know people in the medical industry or whatever you call it. It is just a job and it's all about money. Whatever. But when someone is in pain, at an urgent care, they should at least be a little mindful of the situation. read more

Sharp needs to hire more staff (doctors) to see patients at this location. The wait in the middle of a weekday (starting at 11 AM) was 3 and 1/4 hours and staff said that is common lately. STAFF ALSO DID NOT ALL WEAR MASKS NOR WERE MASKS REQUIRED OF PATIENTS! Then a harried, unpleasant doctor who looked extremely nervous from the pressure of that job there under those circumstances was what we had to deal with. The staff were also nervous and besieged by unhappy patients in a large horde who were there for many hours, unseen. The service there should have been a lot better. I felt sorry for the staff as well as sorry for all the patients (including us). The lack of requirement for masks was shocking, and there was absolutely no separation of people who were there with COVID-type symptoms. A great place to get COVID. Not recommended. read more

This was my first time at this urgent care. Yvette at the front desk was extremely kind and helped onboard me. She then asked me to go provide a urine sample and hand it to anyone at the front desk when I head in to see the doctor. I came out of the bathroom and saw someone new (chubby woman with dark long curly hair). I told her should this go to you or should I wait for Yvette. She rolled her eyes and put on some rubber gloves and grabs the brown bag with the sample. She was so pissed that I even suggested she take that from me. She then talks to Yvette in a really rude tone and says "i don't even know what this is." And then she proceeds to call someone on the phone and says "patient 48 was leaving a sample -- that's why she didn't appear when you called her" all loud and rude. The nurse then comes to grab me and apparently she's in a shit mood too. I'm like oh great here we go again. She starts asking me questions about my health. No sympathy, no concerns, not enthusiastic, not caring - just clicking away at the computer and then saying the doctor will be right with you. It turns out I waited over an hour to see the doctor and then another hour while they "checked my urine sample." I was beginning to think they forgot about me so I opened the waiting room door and started hanging out by the door. What terrible staff but the doctor wasn't too bad nor was Yvette. read more

Beautiful facility just really understaffed and as a result most of the staff aren't paying attention or giving the proper care you need. They just rush you in and out with no real answer to what's wrong. Several times now I have been given medications and the doctors say "idk just take these and call us if you don't get better" staff isn't the nicest either ... grossmont is way better, sucks they aren't closer. read more

First of all, i normally dont write reviews but i just had the worst experience here and i cant believe they have doctors here like dr oflund, that dont care about their patients. This man was so rude and condescending that even my boyfriend was shocked at how he was speaking to me. I saw him for maybe a maximum of 4 minutes after waiting for almost an hour and a half just for him to tell me that theres nothing he could do to help me. I explained to him that ive had a throat infection for almost a week and the symptoms are getting worse, making it extremely difficult to eat and swallow. I think he looked in my throat for maybe a maximum of 10 seconds and i know he didnt even see anything because he didnt even use a tongue depressor to fully see my tonsils. He then rudely responded with "well theres like 80 things it could be so it'll probably go away in 1-2 days". Didn't offer any type of antibiotics, or medicines for pain relief of my throat. Then proceeds to say "your good to go" and sped walked out the room. This man just really lacks empathy for his patients and you can tell by the way he's so quick to run out of the room after offering no help, that hes just here to get a pay check. I hope you guys take these reviews into consideration because its people like him that drive patients away and cause them to not seek help from medical staff. read more

I took my dad on monday evening with SOB and CP, we were told that we couldn't be seen because of his insurance. They asked me what he was going to be seen for I advised the check in person and she said she would get a nurse to check his vitals while she called to see where they took his insurance, I researched on my phone. Called a UC that was 5 minutes away, told the lady that I found a place, so I told her thanks but I have to go. She asked me if the nurse came out to check him, I said "no", she asked me if I was sure to take him like that. I told well you can't do anything for him so were leaving. read more

Came in for stomach pains. I don't remember which doctor it was, but without him, I would've never known there were important notes from my last emergency room visit that the ER doctor did not disclose to me nor did my primary care doctor. I had no idea I was recommended an MRI to further look into my condition. I'm very grateful for him letting me know. My only other visit to the Urgent Care here was just as pleasant. read more
