This spot is my go-to for drycleaning and alterations. I lost a little weight, so I've had the waist and sometimes the crotch taken in on a few pairs of jeans, slacks, and linen pants. I've never had an issue or a complaint. The price was fair, I thought, at about $25 per pair of pants (when the crotch needed altering as well), and they've always had my clothes ready on time. Plus, I get to work on my Korean a little bit while I'm there! lol read more

Convenient location, and I've always had great service here. I love that it's so close to a Goodwill that I can drop off my purchases from there immediately after buying it. I usually ask for my clothing back in 3 days, and they've always gotten it on time. I've had a vintage 70s wool camel coat with suede panels and a nice wool blend trench coat cleaned here. Both went in smelling like the thrift store and in good but wrinkled, linty condition. Both came back looking like new and smelling nice, with the loose threads snipped and piling removed. They did warn me that they may not be able to clean the suede panels if it turned out they were made of real suede, which I appreciated. The cost for the full length coat was about $20, and the 3/4 length coat was $17. I also gave them a silk shirt that had ballpoint pen stains on the sleeve. They got out most of it with no damage to the shirt for $5, which I was satisfied with. read more

I took a chance on this place because I thought it would be nice to support a local business of a smaller scale than ZIPS down the street. I had a suit top and bottom as well as a shirt. The suit turned out really well, but the shirt was actually damaged...I thought that people's stories about clothing getting damaged at the store were just one-offs but also happened to me. The shirt was starched tremendously even though I asked for medium starch, and the neck buttons and cuff buttons are now cracked. So will not go here again with more delicate clothing, but my experience with the suit was positive. read more

They are excellent at ensuring a very pressed, pristine finish and have removed stains that I have been unable to remove. I would highly recommend them. They have even repaired clothing for me and afterward it looked completely restored and prevented me from having to purchase expensive new business pants. read more

Having lived in NYC and grown-up with a (obsessive-compulsive; perfectionist) mother in the fashion industry, I learned THE standard of dry cleaning, as well as the undesirable levels below. Fells Point Cleaners has never failed to meet my learned standard of excellence. To them I've brought hundreds of garments, of varying textiles and fabrics (including a 16 year old canvas pocketbook that hadn't ever been cleaned!), and have truly been 100% satisfied (and happy) with the cleaning. I gave myself the big challenge of looking for a Tailor/Clothing Alteration that can fix men's boxers, and when I called here, my search was done! I went there and dropped off a pair of red polyester Joe Boxer boxers (the waistband got way too big to wear, so I needed it shrunk or changed). After being told that it would be too hard to undo the old waistband, I told them that I didn't care even if they cut off the old waistband, as long as it fit. Now, after picking them up, I would say they are good as new, but they're BETTER than new. When I bought them, they were a medium; now these boxers fit as a small (and I am a small). SO glad I didn't have to throw them away. This process costed $15, and mainly since it is VERY hard to find a tailor that'll do men's underwear, I looked past the price (as long as it wasn't above $30) but this is a decent price for this too, I think. read more

This place is my go to for dry cleaning in Baltimore. It's family owned and the cute old man and his wife do everything by hand. You can have same day service and everything is done right. I've had everything from formal dresses to holes in sweaters repaired here with no problems. They get out serious stains easily. They have shoe repair that goes out/comes in Thursday to Thursday. I've had heels and boots repaired with no problems. This is the only place I'll go in the city. read more

Went in for alterations on two items. Grace was extremely kind during the fitting to make sure everything fit properly. She also worked extra hard to make sure my clothes were altered in 24 hours, two days prior to my vacation. The price for the alterations was also reasonable for getting to items hemmed. Will definitely be coming back for alterations in the future! read more

This place was a total disaster as far as I'm concerned. I'm new in town so last week, I researched dry cleaners in Baltimore and came across this place. Foolishly, I believed the positive reviews rather than the negative ones, and went there with four jackets, two pants and four shirts. The four of my favorite blazers and two pairs of pants needed alterations as I've lost a lot of weight over the past year. I also needed them to be dry cleaned, together with the four shirts. Here is what happened after I paid $164: Two of the sport coats were taken in at the waist only, and not all the way up along the seams as it should be, so when I went home and tried them on, they looked ridiculous with the waist smaller and the chest and shoulders bigger. In short, the two jackets are unwearable and need to be redone. The third jacket that was supposed to be altered, came back exactly as it is, i.e. not altered at all, though I paid for it of course. The fourth jacket, which was practically new, was destroyed. When I got home, I found there is a hole in the shoulder area the did not exist before. I paid $399 for that blazer and now it is unwearable. The last blazer returned without it being dry cleaned as I could tell from the dirt spots that were still there when I dropped off the blazer. Naturally, I was fuming and went immediately back to the shop and showed the lady tending it what had happened. Instead of apologizing and promising to try to at least fix some of the problems, she said it was my fault that the two sport coats were only taken in at the waist and that if I wanted to have them done all the way, then I should've told them! So when I asked if they can do them properly, she told me that I would need to pay $60 for that. As for the blazer that was not taken in but I paid for, the lady shrugged her shoulders and said she did not know what happened. The lady also refused to take responsibility for the undone blazer, and of course the new one that was ruined with a hole in the shoulder. She said it was probably damaged before I brought it in. Then she suggested I come the next day at 9:30 am to speak to the tailor, which I did, but the tailor did not show up. When asked if they were willing to compensate me for the damaged blazer and fix the three others, the lady shook her head and said no. Incredulous, I asked her if she would at least give me back some of the money I had paid, she refused. I told her that this was straight forward incompetence and theft, and that she could not do that to customers, but the lady was unphased. When I asked for her name, she did not give it to me, but gave me a business card with the shop's name and number on it. She would not give me the name of the owner of the place. I'm planning to file a case with the small claims court. I'm pursuing this even if it will cost me a lot of money, as I need to teach these people a lesson so that they don't do this to other people ever again. The sad thing is that I'm told they don't do alterations in house, but rather outsource it to unskilled illegal immigrants because they can pay them much less than they would have to if they hired a proper tailor. My advice to all of you is to run from this place as fast as you can before your clothing gets ruined one way or the other. In my entire life of dealing with dry cleaners, I never came across a shop that would so brazenly rip off people and ruin there clothing as they did to me. Stay away! read more

When I comes to alterations, it's always very risky trying new places. However, since I am in the city I knew I needed to find one close to my house that I could rely on. I brought my last bridesmaid dress and within 48 hours, my dress was ready. I was nervous because not only did I need to have it altered and brought up from the bottom, but I also needed to take in these straped jewels that cross along the chest area. The dress was over $300 and I was cutting it very close to the timeline that I needed the dress done by. I was very impressed when I had the dress and it fit great and the sewing was very professional. It is very small and it fancy by any means but do not let this fool you. I will continue to use them for any alterations! read more

the best dry cleaner in the area. I spilled wine on my beloved tan wool coat and brought it to a few other cleaners who said they wouldnt be able to take it out. I took it to Fells Point Cleaner and the coat came back like new. They also fix misc issues like missing buttons, tears in pants, wool mittens from nepal that were coming undone for a low price or sometimes even without charging. Great couple runs the place, very friendly and honest. read more

I like this place for the convenient location and quick turnaround. Last time they fixed an eye hook on a dress w/o me asking or charging me for it, so that was a huge plus. You may get a dose of Jesus with your dry cleaning but it's all in good humor. read more

I took my clothes to this cleaners because my regular cleaners was not accepting clothing and I had an important business trip and needed my clothes cleaned. There were 7 pieces and they charged $36. When I came to pick up my clothes, I paid the charge. However, when I got outside I had a strange feeling and I counted the hangers and noticed that there were only 6 pieces. When I paid, I wasn't given a receipt but I did charge it so it was no big deal, it would be on my credit card statement. When I went back in, I let the owner know that there were a pair of pants missing from my cleaning. He acted like he didn't know. However, when he took my receipt and his receipt off of the receipt stand, I noticed that he had marked through my pair of pants on his receipt. I was furious. So I said, you knew that my pants weren't there. He told me he forgot to tell me, however, he conveniently forgot to not charge me for an item that wasn't there. He said he would call when he found the pants. I called a couple days later and he said he would call me back. That never happened. Getting closer to leaving for my trip, I stopped by. He stated that they could not find the pants, but if I had a receipt he would give me a credit for the pants. I was like, are you serious, you are going to give me a credit, so I can come back and you can lose more of my clothes, not likely. Needless to say, I am giving him a week to find my pants, and if he doesn't HE WILL refund me the cleaning fee and pay me the $65 for my pants. The only sad thing, I really like these pants and I got them at the end of the season so I won't be able to replace them. If you decide to use this cleaners, count your clothes, and by all means pray that they don't lose your stuff. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would! I will NEVER use this establishment again! They damaged a brand new (only worn once!) Free People dress and lied about! Not only did they allow me to pay for my dress WITHOUT telling me something happened to it in the cleaning process, when I came back 15 minutes later (immediately after noticing the issue) the woman lied about it! She tried to tell me it didn't happen there and it must have happened outside. I was offered no refund. Appalling customer service. Unfortunately, this is NOT the first time they have ruined a dress through harsh cleaning (and lied about it). I brought in a dress with scattered sequins and when I picked it up ALL of the sequins were gone! The claimed it wasn't their fault, but the dress's fault. Keep in mind, this dress had been cleaned successfully at another cleaners in my old neighborhood. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt since this is the most convenient dry cleaners to my house, but I will NEVER be using them again. I would urge you to stay away as well. read more

This update is a review of their tailoring service. I decided to try a couple of different tailors to see how they did with taking in a dress shirt and Fells Point Cleaners did a very reasonable job for only $15. The other tailor I tried seemed to take my measurements more carefully but he also charged twice as much and I don't think the final results were noticeably different. I would definitely recommend this business if you need simple alterations done. read more

This place was recommended after I went to Dry Clean Express in Fells and they tried to charge me 48 dollars for a simple dress hem (and a 4 day turnover!). A random stranger at the bank told me to come here because they are extremely reasonable. They are EXTREMELY nice, the turnover was 2 hours! I recently took a bridesmaid dress to get altered (hemmed and straps). The straps for the dress were not fully attached when purchased. However, I didn't want to permanently attach the straps. Fells Point Cleaners were creative and devised away to do what I wanted. The created loops out of the hemmed material to string the straps through instead of sewing them. The best part was they did this in 3 DAYS. All the other bridesmaids had to wait weeks to get their alterations back. read more

After speaking to a few who were either too pricey, unavailable or needed long lead times, I was so utterly pleased with Fells Point Cleaners. Sam & his wife Koo were charming and kind. I have been going here for 2 years and during that time, a shirt has gone missing and two shirts have been ruined, and pants that I had hemmed by them unraveled within a week. After going regularly (at least once a month) the owner still did not recognize me and treated me like a stranger every time I walked through the door with the only greeting, "phone number?" Unfriendliness aside, it was the closest cleaner so I continued to give them my business. However, the line was drawn when I picked up a color checkered dress shirt to find that the collar had been discolored as if exposed to bleach. I brought the shirt to the owner, Sam, and asked what might have happened to the collar. He avoided eye contact, and a frustrating conversation ensued that kept going in circles. He denied that he or his washers were responsible for the color change and there was no satisfactory resolution- he was unable to explain what might have happened and did not offer any sympathy or apology needless to say store credit or an offer to rewash the shirt and see if anything could be done. I will take my business elsewhere. read more
