Hugo and Alex came out today and installed my new AC unit and did a killer job. They were polite, professional, strangely quiet for a pretty heavy duty install job and they left the place cleaner than they found it. The last AC unit I had installed (by another group) came with some awesome free wall damage, a pretty obnoxious mess and developed a lovely squeel in just a couple years of moderate use which has prevented me from getting a sound nights sleep in weeks. Not only did Alex and Hugo install my new unit quickly and professionally they actually repaired the wall damage the last group did without me saying a word. Its super easy to do a crappy job and get away with it so its always nice when a group goes above and beyond just because that is how they operate. Hugo and Felipe delivered and installed our new oven. They were punctual, careful and professional. They put in the oven quickly, ensured that it was working properly, and cleaned up all the dust and debris. They handled everything smoothly even though there was a bit of tricky adjustments required since the measurements of the oven didn't match what we'd expected. (It was measured and purchased by our landlord, we accepted delivery and were present for the installation.) The oven works great, and I'm sure it was a fair price. read more

Our fridge died and we needed a new one. I called around and basically got the same price for the KitchenAid one we wanted, but Feder's had one ready to deliver in a couple of days. Janice was very helpful, and set up the delivery. Two men came and hauled out our old one, and brought in the new one. I watched them for the most part but one of the men asked me not to because 'it makes my partner nervous'. So I turned around and started working on my laptop. After they left, i noticed that our molding was a little dinged up. I called and was told to send pictures, which I did. The next day I called to follow up and was told that 'we met with the delivery guys and they said they didn't do it.' Shocking. After some back and forth with the manager who was incredibly rude, he finally agreed to send them over to take a look at the damage. The same delivery guys came over, took a photo, and left. I haven't heard from anyone since. If you live in a rental and it's not your property, great. But if you're an owner and care about damage to your interior, I'd go elsewhere. That's what I plan to do next time I need an appliance. read more

Bought a washing machine from them for a good price. One week later it broke - a total lemon, and they were no help. They told me to call the manufacturer. I would not recommend . Maybe they sell the appliances cheap because they are discontinued or lemons. Don't waste your money! I have been through nightmare and the washer ( under warranty cannot be fixed) and the manufacturer won't take it back. When I told the guy at Feder's could I return it , he said no and that they have the same problem with other appliances that break down all the time and they cannot return to manufacturer. NO customer service and no guarantee that what you are buying will work. I should have stuck to BayCities, a little more expensive but all the customer service in the world. That's what I get for trying to save a buck. read more

As far as Feders Dist goes I would rate them a "FIVE." They were very professional and accommodating regarding a special need I had for a room air conditioner in September, off season. The installation they arranged was great. George had great product knowledge and customer service and was able to thoroughly explain the product. The LG 8000 BTU room air conditioner: I would give a "THREE": Tends to be noisy Airflow is difficult to adjust and adjustments are limited On the energy saver cycle, it tends to shut off and come back on repetitively. Bottom line, Feders is very good to deal with. They do have an excellent product line. I did not have many ac units available to me anywhere due to it being the end of summer. read more

This place is horrible!!! Joe the manager and his assistant Janice also a sales lady are terrible people and terrible business people. I bought a new refrigerator from her after buying numerous appliances from this hell hole and they sold me a used fridge at a New fridge price that didnt work and the temperature didnt work. Went to ask for a refund or a new fridge and was told as comsumer and after speding 1300 hundred dollars that i had to call manufacturer myself and have them come deal with the fridge. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!!! JOE IS A JERK AND JANICE IS NOT ANY BETTER. THEY TOLD ME TO BEAT IT AND DID NOT GIVE MY MONEY BACK. Now i dont have a fridge and the loaner they gave me went out as well. My clients have to eat warm food and warm milk and juice now. Ask them what is there policy on returning items that don't work before you buy anything...I have never spent my money for someone to tell me and my company to go to hell. Not nice people would not send my worst enemy there. Very sad day i really liked this place. Dont buy anything here!!! You will be sorry. Told me the manufacturers dont test or plug up appliances before they sell them to distributers so when they get them meaning Feders their selling blind appliances hoping they work to paying customers. They showed up super promptly -- pretty much first thing in the morning during the delivery window given to me, far earlier than I expected. I wasn't even home so they waited for me for about 15 minutes, which I heard no complaints over. After that they navigated my apartment's strange layout and moved around some items to get to plumbing, very quickly and professionally. I made a mistake on the measurements and Hugo and Felipe quickly came up with a solution for the problem and were back the next morning with the appropriate cook top.
