i purchased a new gas stove from feders. their installers did not check the stove before they left. it leaked gas. i called feders immediately and they said i would have to deal with the manufacture. after four months of arguing, they replaced the stove. their policy is that once the any appliance arrives at your home, they are not responsible for any defects and will not replace it. i will never purchase another appliance from them again. read more

I have never had to pay to have the swing of the door changed on a refrigerator, with Feder's, $50! Put the hose on for the gas stove $35.00. Get this... $120 to install the microwave + $135 to put the 18" vent pipe that I can do on my own for less that $10.00 This is not how this business was run when the father owned, too bad! We purchased a Refrigerator on Wednesday to be delivered today. We called earlier today and I got hunged up on a couple of times. After a while finally someone answered and I asked for a time for my delivery. I was told 12-3 P.M its now 6 P.M and no Refrigerator. I called and found out that today the office closes at 2 P.M . No courtesy call that we were not getting our refrigerator today. This really sucks. We have had no refrigerator and have been using a Ice chest . I'm more upset no call was given to us that the delivery crew was not gonna make it. Very unprofessional. read more

We've been clients of Feders for many years and have spent hundreds of thousands over the years with them. As we have acquired more properties our requirement for quick turnaround and detailed info on our orders has increased. Unfortunately, the salesman we have been working with for years does not follow through or respond in a timely manner so I contacted the owners son who took over for his father. I explained the situation to him in detail: I want to continue working with them but need to work with a salesman who is responsive, thorough and detailed. Rather than work with me, he basically told me that they cannot meet our needs and sent me a f**k you response. Found out about this place by word of mouth through my wife's colleague at work. I spoke with Sam when I initially called and at first, I didn't care for him. Very straight forward and fast but knew what he was talking about so I hung on. Eventually, we were face timing so he can see the type of unit we were working with ... thank god for him because I have no clue about AC business-shmisness and turns out, our AC is "vintage" aka, old. I went from having no AC to watching Manny-AC technician install ours all within 20 hours or so. They're fast. They were both pleasant to work with. Manny even helped us with an old window that needed a bit of manpower to bring down. I recommend this place over others whom I won't mention by name but it rhymes with weenie. Excellent service! My story is that I made a deal with my landlord that if I bought an AC unit for my bedroom, which is roasting-hot in the summer, they would pay for installation. The catch is that I have really old windows and can only have a through-the-wall unit (aka wallfit), and those things are expensive--more expensive than the window unit I had hoped to buy.
