I've been to many FedEx locations for my job, and I'll be honest - the experience is usually not great. Most locations I've visited have felt unkempt, had rude staff, or just had that typical frustrating post-office energy. However, this FedEx is genuinely the best one I've ever been to. I've come here several times for shipping, printing, and other work needs, and I've always had a great experience. Today, I was greeted by Mehki ( I believe that's how you spell his name) and this wasn't my first interaction with him. He is always so helpful, kind, and attentive. We were able to get in and out with no issues, no wait, and the store itself is well-kept, clean, and inviting. This is the only FedEx I'll be visiting in Austin from now on. read more

Today I returned shorts where I paid for shipping but had free returns. Pro tip: I learned today via Siri that Smartpost - United States Post Office (USPS) packages could be returned through FedEx. This is the only FedEx location I'll go to in Austin. The staff are generally quite friendly, inviting, and super helpful. The front door is automatic and wide enough to permit wheeling a cart of packages in (or out). I've shipped packages, envelopes, gotten passport photos taken, sent over non-sensitive print jobs like photos, have had large posters printed, and I have printed copies using their cloud printing service in-store (which can be a little confusing to use). I've seen others pickup packs of printed business cards and flyers. The staff does offer some samples of the paper used if you'd like to take a look at the color, weight, and texture. They also have cylindrical containers for posters. Parking is usually plentiful in front. It's not a bad deal for printing things or making large amounts of copies of items that you're unable to do on your own, perhaps items such as flyers, business cards, or the like. If you submit a job online, they'll let you know an approximate pickup time for the items, and when you pick up, they'll let you look over the job to see if it's ok. read more

Estimate we were given to scan and copy 156 pages: $50-80. Actual charges: more than $250. Reputable businesses honor their estimates, but not these people. Their charges are OUTRAGEOUS ($1.09 per page to scan....to put a small stack on a document feeder and push a button....and $.50 per page to copy). They wasted our time, kept our documents for too long, and cost us extra gasoline for a second trip to pick up our originals....a trip that would not have been necessary if they had been honest and up front from the beginning about their excessive charges. As for the staff we dealt with: self righteous and incompetent are not a good combination. Never again. You should consider PostNet or UPS instead, depending on what you need. read more

Came in for some online prints and the service was great! I've visited this location a few times before and have always had a positive experience. While in the store I observed ten people (4employees), all but two (customers) wearing a mask. Since the employees and majority of the customers are wearing masks it is obvious that people by and large are concerned for their health. Wow. Worst location ever. Please, please, think twice before shipping anything at this location. I work for an events company that spends thousands monthly shipping with FedEx and never again. This location packaged my items in a OVERSIZED NON FedEx box that I did not approve and was not notified about. I was then charged an $825 "oversized" box charge by FedEx. My very pregnant wife used this store to ship two wedding dresses one to NY and one to CA. FedEx requires them to pack the box for it to be insured. What this store did was send both dresses to California. My wife had to pay for one to be overnighted to NY. The other dress had a rip in it from when they stacked them with other stuff before packing the dresses which had to be shipped back to my wife to be repaired. The store and it's manager tried to help but eventually passed the buck to FedEx corporate who has done nothing to refund her, if nothing else for the extra shipping charges. IF I COULD LEAVE LESS THAN ONE STAR, I WOULD! (I will explain later.) I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT I WILL EVER USE FEDEX AGAIN!!! From my experience, they are completely unreliable, have charged me $100s for NOTHING but stress & time (over TWO WEEKS) I don't have to waste on this, and I do NOT trust them at all anymore!!! After going to 3 different locations, & calling multiple locations, multiple times in order to MAKE SURE they could ship my item without any problems. Which they insured me they would be able to do. So I took my item to the Burnet location and they charged me $331.00 . The next day, I received a phone call saying that the item could not be shipped unless I paid them $1300.00 (??!??) Which is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS for an item that weighs 40lbs! So I went and picked up my item and was ensured that the $331.00 would NOT be charged to my bank account (they said that the pending charges would just disappear). WELL, they DID charge me the $331.00 and it IS posted to my account! So I then called the Bristol Customer Team in the Revenue dept. at the FedEx 1800 number, and she said they "can't find the transaction in their computer so they are unable to issue me a refund." So I AGAIN went into the store & spent another hour & 1/2 just for them to say the same thing. Even though I brought in my receipt AND showed them the charges to my bank account. They REFUSED to issue me a refund check, ANY SORT OF REFUND to my debit card, OR ANY COMPENSATION for the mistake that THEY MADE. That has caused me EXTREME issues financially, time wise, etc. Now I am out of $331.00 because of a mistake that FedEx made, and they DON'T SEEM TO CARE about FIXING it! (With the exception of the FedEx employee Stephen.) This item was for an order from my Etsy Shop, and now the customer is suffering because of FedExs mistakes and horrible customer service. (She DOES NOT have her item yet, & I am unable to ship it with another service without my DESERVED REFUND from FedEx!) This has costed me countless hours and money; trying to get my money back, hours on the phone with them, hours/gas driving back & forth to the FedEx locations, and MOST IMPORTANTLY is affecting my business! (Which is my LIVELIHOOD & my only source of income!) The ONLY plus with this, is the fact that Stephen @ the Burnet location has helped me in the store two out of the three times I've been to that location, and has been very kind, professional, and has tried everything he can to get me my deserved refund (but unfortunately without any success). I never cease to be amazed by Kinko's ability to shoot itself in the foot. For years - and still to this day - Kinko's is the best place to go for copying. And in Austin - where service at copy shops is frankly spotty .... (well, not spotty but a different word spelled s..tty) it was always pretty decent at the North Burnet Fedex - and they were open 24 hours to boot. Well Corporate seems to be doing everything in its power to cut down on the number of people who want to go to Kinko's (Fedex.) to actually make copies or get office work done. The original howler was taking the best known name in copying (Kinkos) and burying it as Fedex. (and I doubt anyone uses Fedex more because their name appears on the name of a copy shop). Now they are really gutting the copying business. They have put in cheap Canon copiers that automatically shut off at a moment;s notice - generally when you are in the middle of a job. They do this to reduce "unwanted" charges - namely person 2 using copier 1 after person 1 leaves and then person 1 cancels the charge as illegitimate. But in return for protection from a fairly rare risk ---- it is now nearly impossible to set up any kind of complicated job at Fedex without the copier cutting you off midstream and nullifying all of your work. If you can't go to Fedex to get a complicated copy job done ... then what is the point of going at all? I give them two stars rather than one star - because they used to be pretty good ... and who knows if corporate will ever undo their mistake and put in machines that are actually functional on big jobs. And other people with simpler jobs may have not be affected by this problem. But I don't see returning for a long time - until a new generation of software or printers can be installed in the stores. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! I've never had such a negative experience at any store. The assistant manager, Amber, denied me service because i tried getting photos that i took printed. She assumed i was lying to her when i told her i took the photos, and insisted that the photos needed to be cleared from copyright protection even though they were just 4 photos of my family and were not copyrighted to begin with. I was denied opportunity to verify i was the owner and photographer. I cannot imagine my frustration if my business was relying on this service and this happened. I did call corporate, and their solution was to call me, say sorry, and that they will speak to Amber. No mention of why i should continue using their services. read more

I hate even giving this place a single star. I just had a very rude conversation with their manager, who refused to admit that they shipped a package to the wrong address. They reversed the shipping location, so it showed up at my office instead of it's true destination. DO NOT patronize this location. They couldn't care less about their customers. There was even an obligatory "I'm sorry". His whole attitude about it read like "Tough luck, buddy. You paid for it." EDIT: After returning the the store with some timestamped evidence from my phone, and their tracking data, the manager begrudgingly agreed to resend my package, but never with a smile and without ever actually owning up to the mistake one of his employees made. As you all know, I'm obsessed with Quik Print. But sometimes because Saturday after 1 or Sunday I need something printed, I break down and bow to the evil devil of Kinkos. Mostly I use them for sending stuff but the occasional print job happens. That's what this is about. The location is super convienent since its just right on the corner of Burnet and 183. Easy to find, plenty of parking. When i walked in I was greeted instantly and the guy asked what did I need help with. He showed me the self-service area and helped me with my laminate. At the self service area you can make ID badges, copies, faxes, etc! All that was super quick. The problem came down to checking out. I stood in line for a good 5-8 minutes with no one in front of me before I had someone check me out for a 1.99 laminate. That was a bit frustrating. I wish there was a way to self-pay as well without waiting for a clerk. read more

I recently needed to ship a large, framed piece via Fed Ex. I couldn't find a box large enough for it, so I called ahead to this Kinko's to make sure they were going to be able to pack it for me. The woman who answered the phone assured me that it would be no problem at all, so long as the piece was no larger than 20" X 24" (or something like that; I can't recall the exact dimensions she quoted right now), because they have special "art boxes" specifically for that purpose. An hour or so later, I show up with the piece I need shipped. It's pretty late in the evening - after 9 pm - and there are a couple of guys behind the desk. The first guy eyes it and says, "Hmmm. I don't know if we're going to be able to pack that for you." I tell him that I called ahead and had been told it wasn't a problem. He goes to fetch guy #2, who basically says the same thing. I repeat my sad tale about how I called ahead, and surely they have some way to help! Guy #2, who turns out to be named Jeremy, explains that mayyyyyyybe they can do it for me, but he'll have to cut down a MUCH larger box to be the right size. I inquire about the "art boxes," and he assures me that the glass in the frame will shatter to smithereens if I try to Fed Ex it in one of those. "I've seen what those packages go through," he tells me. So I beg and look as pitiful and sad as possible, and suddenly, it's like a switch goes off in my friend Jeremy. He springs into action, taking the piece and pulling out this GIGANTIC box, which he says he'll cut to the right size. You could ship a Volkswagen in this box. A Volkswagen van. Anyway, Jeremy then proceeds to wrap the piece in about 1000 layers of bubble wrap. I'm not exaggerating, here. A small child could have lived on the air from this bubble wrap for a week. So Jeremy packs the piece in bubble wrap, lowers it carefully into GigantoBox, sticks my label on the front, and we're ready to go (I'm making this sound simple, but this process probably took him a good 45 minutes). He weighs the piece and suggests to me that perhaps I should ship it cargo, because shipping it FedEx air is going to cost me upwards of $150. I agree that cargo is the way to go. Off my package goes. I wave goodbye to Jeremy and thank him profusely for all his help. In retrospect, I probably should have given him a huge tip or something...he really did go quite a bit above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of my package, which, of course, arrived safely at its destination at the promised time. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I've been using Fedex Office when it was Kinkos for over 20 years but this is the worst experience ever. The 2 sales associates that was available - one was from night shift and the other opening shift were very unhelpful. I wanted 30 minutes of my time and was charge approx $10 for fax service that was never competed. What makes this experience worse is the willingness of these associates to left. I felt like I was bothering them. I work in the retail industry and in fact, continue to use the MoPac Kinkos for service, and these two individual poorly represents the brand. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Susie G. is right! Whenever I go to this Kinko's I think about Forrest Gump's mother--you never know what you are going to get. I've had great service and I've had horrible service. My most recent project involved scans and burns of 75 historic photos. I left detailed information with the guy who took my order but then he passed it on to the guy who did the work. The guy who did the work called me no less than 6 times--I would definitely rather hear from someone than not and have the job screwed up. It turned out fine but I have now memorized their number from my caller ID. There were issues paying for it since the client is tax exempt but I'll leave it at that. It was resolved, finally, a week later. Sheesh. I have found Sabrina to be the best with regard to scans and creative projects. She oversees this area and has been with Kinko's a number of years. If you peek at the name tag, you will find the year the employee first came to work for Kinko's. If you see 2008 move on to the next clerk. This Kinko's also has a variety of office supplies, paper goods, stationary and mailing envelopes. The manager James Orozsco always wants to hear feedback--good or bad. read more

This place is a DISASTER! In fact, I think this is where most of Hobby Lobby's employees end up when they, you know, have more experience being rude to people and want to get paid more for it. I had 84 pages to print. In color. These 84 pages were split out into 4 different files. I walked into this place around lunchtime on a weekday and put my little USB drive into one of their printers. I found my first file, began to upload it so that it would print. It just sat and spun and spun and spun. About 4 minutes into the spinning, I turned around to Michael at the front desk and asked him how long this normally takes. He said it depended on the file size - I told him it was a 12 page word document, nothing fancy. He said it could take anywhere from 5-10 minutes. I them told him I had multiples of these documents and he said "No problem, bring your USB drive over here and I'm happy to print them for you." Great! I thought. While showing Michael on his screen which files I needed to print, Kendra, another employee with very big britches walks up and asks what Michael is doing. Here's how it went down from here (right in front of me I might add): Michael to Kendra: "I'm printing these pages for her" Kendra to Michael: "Why are you doing that for her? Why isn't she just using the printers?" Me to Kendra: "He offered to print these for me because the printers were taking forever". Kendra to Me: "I was talking to him." Me to Kendra: "I see that. Is there a problem?" Kendra to me: "No, why do you ask?" Me to Kendra: "Well, we were doing just fine before you walked up and now there seems to be a problem" Kendra to me: "Nope. No problem" Kendra to Michael (as he's trying to concentrate on printing my stuff): "See, this is why you're not supposed to print from here. All of the other print jobs are now backing up because you decided to help her" WOW. Kendra is a handful. I feel really bad for Michael that he has to deal with that attitude all the time. On top of all of that, 84 color pages were $48. Yikes. And they didn't give me a bag or an envelope or anything to put my pages in. Literally just handed them to me along with my receipt. And, when I got them home, not all of them even printed correctly. If it weren't for Michael atleast trying to be helpful before Kendra slapped him on his hand for trying to provide good customer service, this place would have easily been a 1 star review for me. Because I live about 5 minutes from this location, I'll pop in time to time to have things quickly printed. I really have print needs maybe 5 times a year, max, so I'd like to think I'm the average customer. I dropped in yesterday to have some labels printed up for some candy bars (like chocolate). I started the project today, only to find that half of the labels were ruined. They had smeared in the machine/the paper didn't take the toner. So, since it's super close, I took my bad paper back to Kinko's to see if they could reprint this file. 5 minutes, thinks I, in out the door. Once I arrive, I see no one waiting in line so I make my way to the counter only to be stared at and ignored by the 4 staff members that are there..and so I wait. Once I get someone to actually acknowledge my existence, she definitely thinks that she should be doing anything else but helping me. Strange, I think, since they actually PAY you to be here. Maybe something in your life went horribly wrong since you're stuck here working at a Kinko's, but it must be a pay grade up from the Jack in the Box down the street. (However, those kids are really nice.) I show her my project and messed up labels and ask if she could re-print them for me. So, with a roll of the eyes, she takes my flash drive and proceeds. She hands them to me and the colors are way off, I mean totally different than the other ones I had from yesterday. Since I am now half way through the project I need them to match. I inform her of this. "We don't color match m'am," she said. "Well, can you try another machine. This project is expensive and I'm already half way through. Can you please try again?" "Well, do you know who was helping you yesterday?" I hand her my receipt. "This doesn't tell me anything. I don't know what machine they used." I'm sorry, didn't you just ask who was helping me? Well, since I wasn't paying any attention and since everyone at this location is as SUPER friendly as you, I didn't catch a name and I don't tend to remember which machine my copies come from She tries again and we hit the right machine, only to have 2 out of the 6 copies be good. I beg that she prints them 2 at a time, so that they can all come out normally. Her response, "I can't just keep printing them." Am I on glue? I did walk into a Kinko's, did I not? Yes, that's exactly what you can do because that's what I paid $1.49 per copy FOR. I am a customer and you will print them until you get them right, or I will stand there and bitch until the sun comes up. Trust me, I've seen me do it. Once they were done, still not 100% right, I took my copies as one of her co-workers comes over and the two start discussing how difficult I was. Nice. Hey, Bon Qui Qui, perhaps you'd like your job a little more if you were nicer to the customers. I just went here for the one and only time yesterday, so I can't comment of the inconsistency of service. For me, it was great! My friend put in an order from another state and I picked it up here. It was ready and waiting for me. He had ordered business cards, but to save some money, he did not order them cut. I was supposed to cut them. Lucky for me, the nice people working at this Kinkos did it for free. I say lucky because I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. I would like to give this both a 1 star rating and a 5 star rating, but Ive trying to be fair so I'm settling on 3 stars. This kinkos is a mixed bag. I use it all the time. Sometimes I come in, find wonderful staff eager and knowledgeable to help me with all of my copy machine anxiety. They know tricks and turns to make the machines do what they are capable of. Then there are days like a month ago when they lost my poster order, claimed I never placed it and argued with me rudely until I pointed out that there they were sitting on the counter. And today ,where the man was rude, unhelpful and refused to tell me how to do something on a machine ( that I knew could be done) with out charging me some strange set up fee. I'm a little mad at this man. For a 24 hour kinkos with mostly helpful staff, go here. But only go middle of the afternoon type hours when they have several options for help. I needed flyers for a lunch function at work today 11-1-2019, and it was already 10 pm on halloween! so I tried to take advantage of the 24 hour store hours. So I scheduled pick up for 1:30am. I called about midnight to inquire if there was any possible way my order was going to be done quicker (it does say on the confirmation email that usually the orders are printed within 15 minutes of submitting it), and was rudely told there was no way they would be done any quicker as there were several orders ahead of me and as soon as they were printed I would receive an email. ( when I went to get them this evening, it said call when ready I got not call). I got the order ready email at 530am, 4 hours after I scheduled pick up!
