This is a great location right in the heart of The Domain. I stopped by almost a minute or right at closing time. I had all the time in the world to go, but I decided to go last-minute and was expecting to not be serviced or be rushed, plus rudeness. Nae, the rep onsite, was wrapping up with a customer and had another she was simultaneously helping. She realized it was closing time, and locked up, but helped me without any hesitation, rush, was professional, efficient, quick, informative, and delightful. I waited 15 minutes to then be told I needed to package my amazon return, a sweatshirt, when that has never been an issue before. Typically my location just takes them or throws them in a package if needed but never refused my return without package. The lady wouldn't take it and was super rude. My fiancé and I travel pretty frequently and refuse to ever check luggage because... reasons, right? So, everywhere we travel, we make sure to stop by a local UPS store the morning before the day of our flight home so we can ship souvenirs and anything else bulky or liquid or breakable back home to ourselves. We stopped by this particular UPS store near our hotel on February 21st to do just that. The two girls working that day (I'm kicking myself for not getting their names!) were so incredibly helpful, friendly, and fun. They were truly just delightful. One of them carefully packed everything up for us and they both chatted and laughed with us the whole time as they gave us recommendations for local "Texas Only" attractions. Truly the best service we've ever received from any UPS store... well, that girl in West Hollywood was pretty awesome, too, now that I think of it... but I digress! Give these ladies a raise! Just want resolution. No Accountability/Ownership of issue. I do want to say that the person who initially helped me with my issue did take as much ownership as she could, the rest was out of her hands. I was told by Apple to ship my watch via UPS store so they can add cellular service (this was a new watch), I dropped off by placing it on the scale as instructed and from the time I left the store to the time they packaged the watch, my watch was cracked. When item arrived at Apple, they advised me of this and that i needed to submit a claim with UPS store. I tried and have email chains to show this, along with long hours on the phone with Apple, but UPS Store kept sending me to Apple to have them submit the claim and Apple kept sending me to UPS store to submit the claim. Needless to say, i was never able to submit my claim and here i am with a NEW broken watch that I cannot use. I do believe that the onus falls on UPS Store. As a military veteran, I just don't know how a large company (granite a franchise) cannot take accountability and ownership on an issue that happened at one of their stores. Apple wants to now charge me $350 to fix the watch, a NEW watch that was only being shipped so they can add cellular service. It's the principle at this point, i should not have to pay for something that was not of my own doing. I see that one of the owners, Kevin Allen prides himself on customer service, i just wish that customer service was extended to my issue. I have emails upon emails and tried to get this resolved, but but have been unsuccessful. Note: I was told that had the item been damaged when i dropped off there would have been pictures (there are NO pictures of any damage); therefore, damage happened when item was being packaged. I hope I can get resolution as i'm going on 4 months with no resolution. read more

The ups on 8120 Research Blvd Unit 105, was going to charge to "package" the damaged package I received from ups . The "packaging" was 4 strips on tape on one corner. I left and came down the road to this location. Didn't mention anything, after handing the package to the employee , they said cool no problem, I even asked would I be charged to package the damaged corner and she laughed and said why. I have had nothing but positive experiences at this location before today, and on my prior visit hauled a heavy shipment into the back room so one of the workers involved below didn't have to. I'm not sure what happened before I got there today but I would steer clear of this location going forward. I came in with a pre-packaged shipment and asked to ship it with "insurance", which set both the counter worker and the supposed store manager "Panda" off firmly telling me that they do not offer insurance. I told them that I shipped something a few months ago at this location, and paid to have it packaged so it would be covered at market value if it was lost or damaged in transit, which is what I was referring to as "insurance". Long story short, they DO offer coverage but they don't call it insurance. That word is apparently a trigger at The UPS Store. Once I passed my vocabulary lesson, and after I asked if I should go somewhere else because it seemed like they didn't want to handle my shipment, we proceeded and they began entering the shipment info in. I was asked what was inside, and told them the category (car part/supercharger). The alleged manager Panda immediately got up, went out of sight, and then came back and asked me very suspiciously if it was new or used, to which I answered used. She then rudely refused the shipment as "used superchargers have oil" and "she knows a little bit about cars" (I'm guessing she disappeared to go google "do superchargers have oil" but I digress) despite me telling her the entire unit was disassembled prior to packaging and there was virtually no oil in the box. It was blatantly obvious that she was fishing for a reason to turn me away, and she found it. I reiterated to them that I literally just shipped "oil filled car parts" at that location recently, even declaring said shipment accurately and truthfully as "shock absorbers". The alleged managers response to that was telling me that I must have lied to the employee when shipping them. Judging by the other reviews for this location I doubt the employees or management actually read these, but if you do - please find peace with whatever it is that is causing you to treat other people the way you do. It's one thing to give poor service but another to call customers liars to their face because you are having a bad day. Be better, if not for us then for yourselves. read more

I needed to return some AT&T equipment, and the UPS Store could not have made things easier. I breezed in exactly as they opened (side note: they had opened the door early for a couple who was standing out in the heat waiting. That kind of common sense and caring about people impressed me), went straight to the counter, and was out of the store in around 60 seconds. You usually don't think about UPS stores and reviews. At least I don't. My latest trip to the UPS store was far above average. Not even for my item! What brought me here was a perfunctory Amazon return. While I was there however I ended up helping another couple ship a handmade mask to one of their family members. The UPS store employee went above and beyond to make sure that a package fit right and would adequately protect an item. Folding the box and adding peanuts, etc. What really makes them stand apart is that they ended up sending that person to another competitors store because the other store had a specific sized box that was a better fit for the item! Any store that cares as much about the customers mission / value is a store that I want to patronize. Also they'll take back your AT&T equipment and do it with a smile so double kudos to that. read more

I went to this store early this morning, trying to return a package, I showed her the return label, and she said" you need to print it and box it up by yourself ", I said I don't know how to do it, and she still not willing to help! Every time I went to other UPS store, I just need to paid $1 and they will take care of it , that's why I like UPS, for the convenience! Denied service. Walked in with a pre-addressed/prepaid shipment to a business. The package contained ammunition and all shipment requirements were covered/defined by the receiving business. While standing at the countered I took notice of the hazardous materials not allowed (a placard on the counter). Ammo was not listed (as it should not be) but I did comment to the counter help that the package did contain ammo. At that point I was told that they would NOT ship ammo (but UPS does all the the time!). I asked why and they said it was their franchise store policy. I asked to see that policy in writing (Erica claimed to be the store manager and provided the info). I was showed a binder that spelled out the obvious categories of explosives, radioactive material, live animals, *AND* firearms. The firearms section said NOTHING about ammo. I told Erica that the firearms section did NOT include ammo. Erica said; "firearms, ammo, SAME THING...". I left the store. So, I hope the owner of the store sees this and educates Erica. read more
