I work for a large corporation and we do large volumes with Fedex and UPS weekly. I was running some big packages to Fedex for dropoff and saw the Ground truck packing up to leave when I pulled in. Usually this means Im too late and they wont go out till the next day. But the driver (Justin) came and not only went ahead and waited till I got them all taped up and on the cart...but told me he'd take care of them from there and even return the cart for me that I dragged outside. WOW! Ive run into other drivers in the parking lot (not Fedex) that cant wait to run and get out of there. Youre on your own! But not Justin. Thats how you take care of your customers. That sort of thing is duly noted and makes a difference when contracts are back up for re-negotiation. Great job Fedex! read more

I am writing to formally report ongoing and unacceptable customer service at the FedEx location in Chico. During my most recent visit, multiple employees were standing around talking among themselves while several customers were clearly struggling to use the self-service machines. When customers asked for help, staff were dismissive, reluctant, and appeared annoyed at being interrupted. Assistance, when given, felt forced and minimal. Some customers were left confused and unsupported despite employees being readily available. This is not an isolated incident. I have observed this same behavior on multiple occasions at this location. The consistent lack of professionalism, urgency, and basic customer care reflects poorly on FedEx and suggests a management issue that needs immediate attention. Customers should not feel ignored or burdensome when seeking help, especially in a service-based business. I strongly urge FedEx to address employee accountability and retraining at this location. I just spent $10 plus to print 6, 8x11 2-sided color prints, and when I looked for paper clips in the organizers usually full of several sizes, with rubber bands, staples, and white out, etc., all 3 had absolutely nothing but a staple puller. When I approached the counter to ask where the paper clips were, they looked at me like I was a thief, asking how many I needed. I estimated, "Half a dozen, maybe." The clerk then counted out 6 paper clips like they were made of gold and gave them to me. TOO FUNNY! --- and really cheap...reallyyy, reallyyy, reallyyy, really cheap! read more

Every time I come into this store I have problems with the machines. I was making packets for my class 15 pages each double sided. I did one packet double sided and went to do a second packet. I never changed the settings and the machine made the packet one sided and charging me the same as the first packet. I asked the assistant manager for a refund. He said no. I went up to the counter and asked for the manager. The assistant manager said there was no manager on the weekend. I said I still wanted the refund because I did not change the settings. He said he would give it to me but said I had to leave the store because I was lying about the machine. I left. There is always problems with this store and the staff are rude. read more

Super unhelpful, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE if possible (hard to do in a small'ish town I know). My company spends tens of thousands of dollars annually printing at FedEx locations throughout California for different needs. I typically find FedEx Office employees incredibly helpful in working to move mountains to get the job done and help keep our clients happy! This location however is an outlier. I called this evening with a complex print request that involves specific cutting and folding outside of standard paper sizes. Relatively simple if you see the document, but not something standard. The employee who answered my call instructed me that he was unable to give me the email address to send in a print request without authorization from his manager because they all need to be done online. Look, I get it, FedEx is trying to push all print orders through their website platform for tracking/efficiencies/etc. I would do the same thing as a business, but it is always the right tool. If you're printing 100 copies of an 8.5x11 sheet of paper or something it is likely a great/easy resource, but when you have a more complex task it is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to use the FedEx web client. Believe me, I've tried, many times. Anyways, I asked the employee multiple times for the email address after explaining that it wasn't just an easy solution and that it was very much NOT a convenience to use the online platform. The employee continued to decline and I eventually hung up in frustration. I immediately called a Sacramento FedEx location, they understood right away what I was explaining and happily provided their email address. I will be picking my order up from them tomorrow morning on my way up to Chico instead of spending money locally once I got there. I'll continue to steer clear of this location in the future when I have to come to town for work as this location (as is show in their awful reviews here) has proven to be unworthy of my business. Brent is a rock star!!! I just stopped in today to scan some docs and Brent was patient, friendly and professional. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and very impressed with the whole ease of the process and cleanliness of the store. Was I happy with the pricing structure of 50 cents a page to scan when I was scanning 35 pages? No. Could I have scanned these docs at home? Yes, but my scanner only does one page at a time. Did I just pay for convenience? Yes, but Brent was very efficient and accommodating. Brent Rocks!! read more

This place is a lifesaver for me. If you need anything printed scanned or mailed. They always have usb drives and converters and they are always nice even when I am not necessarily in a good mood. I always leave feeling reassured my mail at least went right. read more

These guys always go above and beyond for me. I use the app to print stuff all the time and they get it done quickly. One time I mistakenly forgot to enter double sided and when i got there and realized my mistake, they reprinted all of them correctly for me and didn't charge me. read more

TIP: Ryan rocks! Super helpful :) Stopped in here for a quick size adjustment on a photo. I needed a picture shrunken waaaaaaaay down to a super tiny size so I could fit it in my heart locket. Ryan helped me quickly, measured it to be as specific as possible (to make sure it would "fit" in my little locket). It did take a while, aprox 10-15 minutes until he and his coworker were able to get it to the desired size but! They did it! My experience here was only based off of this simple transaction although I know they do a million other things. I was really happy with the results, super stoked that I could wear my special picture close to my heart and even more impressed with the price. Next to nothing! Wow, looking at the reviews I guess I wasn't the only one to receive incredibly shitty service here. Maybe they should look at the managers. I bought a cardboard box for shipping yesterday. It was too big so came to exchange it. I had a different car, and I didn't have a receipt which Id put in the glove box. The box says Fed ex for Petes sake and the person I bought it from was there. But NO.....They couldn't just give me a smaller box in exchange ? I needed a receipt. This inability of businesses to try to make customers happy is really crazy in this age of online shopping. I left the scanner station for 1 minute because my document was Not scanning right & a staff member/worker allowed someone else to cut in line for the scanner. He told me it's first come; first serve. I left my things on the desk & was coming back. He told me to go somewhere else to use a scanner. VERY RUDE!!! I don't know his name. He has short hair, beard & wears glasses. This FedEx Office has lost a customer. I made a complaint to the store manager; yet, I doubt that he'll do anything to reprimand this worker. This store is the worst for customer service. I went in to print some photos and the photo printer froze twice. When I asked for help the clerk was eating pistachios from the shells and sipping them out into the garbage can the entire time I was speaking to him. He was extremely disrespectful and it was gross! All he told me was not to use the printer. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to and they said there was no manager on site. Dont waste your time or money at this store! read more

If you can't make an online order DO NOT have any printing done here. The fedex website was having issues with my print to store order so I called and they said I could come in and place my order in person. What they did not mention was that in person they charge 4x what the prices are online. They rang up my order that was $44 online and tried to charge me $190 instead. The $190 price was also for much lower quality paper. They refused to match the online price even though I was only ordering in person because their website wasn't working properly and they told me to come in. Canceled my order and got them done elsewhere for better quality and far cheaper with no absurd price discrepancies. read more

Terrible customer service, idiotic manager. I went in to ship a package that had to be in Europe by a certain day. After having them package it up and going over pricing options, Bartev gave me prices. Great, not too expensive to get it there on time. Wish I'd have shipped it at that moment... When we're going over the questions for customs he asks something I'm not sure of, so we open the box to look. When he seals it back up, the price jumps by almost $200... Should have been my first clue to go somewhere else. He's puzzled by it, so Ryan steps in and starts the process over. He doesn't ask me all the questions Bartev had, but I did stress that I wanted it delivered ASAP. We go through everything, it's close to $500 but I REALLY need it sent so I agree, sign, etc. He asks me to check the address, I do, we print the label and I'm on my way. The next day I enter the tracking number on the receipt and come to find it's been sent the slow route and won't arrive until 3 days AFTER it was supposed to. I am livid, in trouble at work for this, and called them to inquire what could be done. Long story short, nothing can be done and the package will arrive with nobody there to receive it (because they'll have flown home 3 days prior). Avoid this place like the plague. Even though you think you're dealing with adults who understand what you're saying, even the management is useless. read more

The lowest high tech office - Lots of less than fully functioning copiers. I needed to sign a contract and email it to a business. I printed the contact, signed it and attempted to "scan and send" which is clearly marked on the copiers as an option. But after including myself as an email recipient, but not seeing the email arrive, I asked the employee how I could verify that the scan was sent? He said, "oh, scan and send doesn't work on those machines." So rather than a $2 charge to scan and send, I had to buy a thumb drive and pay him to scan the document and place it on my brand new thumb drive. I feel ripped off and half expected the document to have NOT been placed on the thumb drive (but it was). read more

I tried to avoid this place because I have had bad experience in the past with inattentive clerks, long waiting, etc. I needed to get some photos printed fast, so I found myself here on a Sunday afternoon. The place was hopping with customers at the self-serve computer and copier kiosks. I ended up having to ask for help at least three times and I was lucky enough to have a clerk named Leah help me. She was knowledgeable, friendly and didn't get perturbed when I returned a couple times to clarify instructions. This place is a ridiculously frustrating waste of time. Had a PDF file I needed printed from a computer, pretty basic. After renting time at the workstation, found out you can't print the size I needed from the computer so I emailed the file to print and go, after 3 tries wouldn't accept my file, spent more money uploading the file to Dropbox on their rental computers, the printer couldn't connect to the network, none of the printers would connect. After asking for help I was met with indifference and pretty much told tough luck, they can't help. Went over to Chico printing and they were able to print the file right away no problem at almost half the cost Kinko's wanted. Don't waste your time or money with the clueless staff here read more

Bartev could not have been any less helpful. We go in there and stand in the "full service" line for about 20 minutes to be told that did not include the photo print department. We were assured all we needed was our iPhone data cord to be able to print a pic from our phone. So, we go clear back home and get our data cord. When we walked up to the computer we see the data cord is already there and we just went home and got ours for nothing. Then the computer won't read our card because it's locked. After Bartev comes over and unlocks it with his key we ask for his help. He was short and huffy. Couldn't get away from us quick enough. He goes back behind the counter and we needed his assistance again. The entire process could have taken 3 minutes if he could have been bothered, but that was not an option. Again, we go wait in line to ask for help. He cones over, acting put out and snippy. We finally get it figured out and start to walk out of the store. He says, everything with out ladies? NO, as a matter of fact it didn't. We're leaving to go to Walgreens. Thanks for the crappy customer service. read more

I always have a terrible experience here. The workers behind the counter, including managers, ignore customers and continue conversations for 2-5 minutes before even acknowledging customers. The Internet is super slow, so they can charge you more on self-service computers. The Internet completely failed today, so I couldn't print from my phone. The only reason I'm giving it two stars was the nice man running between self-service copiers who tried to help and explained that the Internet wasn't working. My FedEx experience today: 8 customers waiting in 3 lines (can't tell who is next) and 1 employee on duty busy answering phone calls and helping people with xerox machine. Right when it is finally my turn after waiting in line for 20+ minutes, another employee pops out of the back and just says, "who's next". No apologies for the excessive wait, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I have an email on my smartphone that says: "Visit a FedEx Office by March 07, 2015 with your package and this email either printed or displayed on your mobile device. A FedEx team member will scan the bar-code displayed below, print your label, and accept your package for shipping." The employee first acts like he's looking at something he has never seen before. He tells me I should have printed it. He makes me forward the email to him so he can print it. Why not scan it off the phone, I have no idea. Then tells me the label is expired (it is March 7th). Tells me that the email is "vague" and maybe it meant March 6th. Tells me there is nothing he can do. I don't see what is vague about "by March 7th." After all that my package doesn't get shipped, even after following the email instructions to the letter and patiently waiting all that time. Ugh. read more

Why would you charge per minute to use a scanner and then purposely do everything slowly? They force you pay more. I went in to scan a single document and email it. I first stand in line for 10 minutes to have them tell me that I have to use the terminal in the back corner. There was no signs or directions on where to go so I waited. At the terminal i am to pay per minute to use an outdated scanner that took a whole minute (I timed it) to load and then several more to open the internet and email. It was terrible. They have shoddy computers a shoddy scanner and then I get charged because they are slow. Its BS. Plus, any modern printer will have a scanner function. This should have only taken a minute max but after 2o minutes of waiting, dealing with old equipment and waiting for the guy, who went slow on purpose when he knew I was being charged per minute, I end up wasting time and money. Its not about the money because it was only a total of $5 but the principal. read more

Professional print job at reasonable cost: 5 stars Customer service: 0 stars Reason: I walked in, asked for a specific service, was instructed on how to do it myself... I tell him I've tried "do it yourself and it doesn't come out right" he says "I'll help you get it done" so I'm thinking to myself "then why wouldn't you go ahead & do it if you're willing to take the time to show me how to do it myself, why wouldn't you have done it as I asked to begin with? I didn't walk up and ask for assistance on how to do it myself. Ok, I follow the instructions & ask for colored paper to do it myself... He comes around the counter to the do it yourself machines. I ask if there's another Kinko's in the area that is full service. He takes on a puzzled look... Says this location is film service but most people want their copies right away & mine would take until tomorrow... I tell him tomorrow is fine. He gives me the email to send my documents to. I send. He confirms the print job and cost estimate, has me sign for the print job to be ready tomorrow morning at 10am. I then send 2 additional documents to be printed thru the online app (the previous docs wouldn't load onto the app because they were saved as iBooks) so I go through the app, pay & my print project will be ready at 10pm tonight- approx. 2.5 hrs from now. So my conclusion is that the guy behind the counter could have had it done tonight but decided to go with tomorrow because either he doesn't know his job well enough to estimate print time accurately or didn't care to do it today and there's another person available to do it tomorrow. Either way, I don't consider this good customer service worthy of stars on Yelp. My suggestion? If you're able to print thru the app, go with that and avoid the above or similar situation. read more

So easy to run in and make copies. I've needed other things done and the staff is always super professional and helpful. While I was there today, I noticed two people ask for help-one to make a copy and one to fax. The staff did not hesitate to show them how to use appropriate machines. read more

I just had a very frustrating experience at this place. Went in to send a simple fax... nearly 40 minutes later I am done. One fax machine has a sloppy note that says it does not print receipts. Ok, so I go to the other one. Over and over I attempted to send my 8 pages but the machine kept skipping pages so I had to resend several times. The young woman was helpful and told me to return at the end of my business for a refund. But she was busy when I was done. I got this man who interrupted me as I tried to let him know what happened and that something might be wrong with their fax machines. He said "How many pages? That's all I need to know." RUDE! No apology or anything. And no discount for my hassle, just a refund for the multiple fowled attempts. I understand technology & equipment fails. I'm an easy going person...
